[ROM] OmniRom - Test Lollipop(FLO) 12/27/14 - Nexus 7 (2013) Android Development

I am not a dev. I make builds for personal use. I have not flashed this yet but intend to do so. I am new and this is my first posted (XDA) build. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. That being said please make a backup before you flash this and take note that I am not responsible if you *bork* anything by using this ROM.
ROM:
Thanks to the team at OmniRom
Github: https://github.com/omnirom/
I suggest these steps:
Wipe
Flash ROM
Flash Gapps
Thanks
Edit: First rule: test before posting. ?

I shall give it a try...

*borked* Do not flash.

I re-built and same thing, won't boot. Will build with error log in the morning so I can figure it out.

Any news please?thnks?

No idea as of yet. I did another build and ran an error log and nothing showed up. Still would not boot though.

Hey mate. Did you happen to use a toolchain above GCC 4.7 for the kernel?

Yeah thats your issue.
Easiest fix is to use 4.7 toolchain

[KERNEL] "CyanogenMod/lge-kernel-msm7x27" 2.6.35.10 with improved touchscreen driver
Hi there!
Remember my touchscreen "fix" a long time ago?
Yes- it's been a long time but now I got Line Runner and I was unable to play it, so...
I wrote the "fix" down again to the newest Cyanogenmod Kernel.
That means:
- I took the source from git://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-kernel-msm7x27.git
- rewrote the touchscreen driver
- made the default cyanogenmod thunderg config
- made the kernel
I use it with CM nightly and I think that Line Runner runs better now.
What does it do?
I "purged" the driver code (look here) and lowered the touchscreen scan rate to 50Hz (seems sufficient to me). So the cpu has more time to do other things.

I like to send the patch to the cyanogenmod maintainers- but I don't know how.
They use Gerrit, but I can't find lge-kernel-msm7x27 in Gerrit.
Maybe via github

So... What does this fix exactly?

Just a bit of code purging to unburden the cpu while touch polling.
No inversion fix (buy a new phone ).
Would be great if you keep developing on cm7 kernel

[kernel] G900H Linaro

Hi,
I was very disappointed because lack of support for our G900H
So I decided to try and learn how stuff works.
So from 2 days of reading and reading... I compiled my first kernel
What actually done:
chaintool = Linaro 4.10
added governor ondemand
That is all for now
Credit and Thanks for Help and Git- https://github.com/drakester/SM-G900H_Kernel Goes to

Nice work, thank you!
Must gonna try out this..
And report will come later.
Edit Post:
What are the change logs?
My wish, if you could implement Tape2wake mod, this will be great..
This is for Stock Roms or AOSP Roms?

Well I can't use some of the lucky patcher patches because of the binaries, and some apps don't install with titanium backup, I don't know why.

First, Thanks for the great job, Your ROM is great and has a good battery life (unsual in unofficial ROMs), I have only one request, Can you upload a version without the GApps for updates as I'm downloading the updates daily and it will be better if the size is reduced.
Thanks

I'll try to upload a plain cm12 though you should get the GApps from somewhere else.
Bluetooth audio not working
In the januar 4th build, I can't stream audio to my bluetooth speaker. Smart Chromebook unlock works fine, so the bluetooth is working, just something wrong with the audio.
seems like problems with charset
last build
I installed the CM12 version and under several apps that I use, on their market pages it says "Your device isn't compatible with this version". Any ideas?
Great work with the ROMs. Its by far the fastest I've come across and installations are super fast.

I'm using Linaro toolchain (observed to perform better) to compile the C/C++ sources and allowing packages to be precompiled (ODEXed) so that It will boot much much faster after flashing.

Just flashed the zip in twrp then flashed magisk over the top
I dont get IT. I did exactly the same and the Phone soft bricked and booted to bl.
Flashed the kernel, for me it's bootlooping into the bootloader i think i missed something
EDIT: Flashed Magisk 16.4 over it, now it could boot. Got a message: " Internal problem with device, contact the phone manufacturer" or something like that. It's buggy as hell. First boot i could unlock without any issue, but after i locked and try to unlock it reboots.
