[kernel] G900H Linaro - Galaxy S 5 Android Development (Snapdragon)

Hi,
I was very disappointed because lack of support for our G900H
So I decided to try and learn how stuff works.
So from 2 days of reading and reading... I compiled my first kernel
What actually done:
chaintool = Linaro 4.10
added governor ondemand
That is all for now

Nice work, thank you!

Must gonna try out this..
And report will come later.
Edit Post:
What are the change logs?
My wish, if you could implement Tape2wake mod, this will be great..

This is for Stock Roms or AOSP Roms?

I sold the G900H and I wouldn't do blind builds but hopefully you can update this kernel.

Thanks,
I am still working on some compilation-related problems as well as Linux 3.14 Kernel for our device.
As I promised,I will use the highest optimization to compile it.
(JAVA 8,Clang 3.8,GCC 6.0)
(O3,strict-alias)
It will come with a better overall performance and power efficiency.
Also there will be a semi-stock kernel for those who wants better stability.
Besides, R2 of Kyubi is already completed.

v2.7 initial MM release
v2.7 INITIAL MM release for SM-N920-P device variant
Not personally tested > I have a SM-N920C.
This is a TEST RELEASE and built without N920P source release from Samsung !!
DO NOT restore profiles from older versions or other kernels !
XDA RULE #1 'SEARCH BEFORE POSTING". Please READ Posts #1-3 BEFORE flashing !!
BUGS:
Disabling "Turbo Mode" will screw up frequency scaling. So if you have disabled any time, you need to REBOOT !!
Changing Interactive governor profiles when Interactive is not used, will result in Synapse display errors. Nothing to worry, no need to change the profile if Interactive it not used !
Have fun
Cheers

Can u flash international roms while flashing this kernel after?

Hi Everyone, I am a rom dev who just bought this device, just wanted to say hi

A little about me for those who don't know.
I have been building roms since the galaxy s2, I also built for Nexus 10, galaxy s5 and mainly the LG G3.
Once the kernel is released I will start to work on bringing roms, mainly CAF AOSP to our device plus some kernel improvements .
Anyway just wanted to introduce myself. Great phone so far!

Dear Brother
.. hey brother!. Nice to meet you!. I am very appreciative that you are here!. I would be so appreciative if you could create a room for us, or even port lineage os?, I know a lot of other family members around here would be ever so grateful. I am so happy I bought the Mi A1, but also sad that I can't find even oNe rom for our beloved device.
@sooti could you try port MIUI to this device? I'm not sure if you need the kernel code or not. And before someone says "Oh, buy the Mi 5X" I can't find the phone in any market from my country.

But... why would you buy this device if you wanted MIUI? in any case, I'm sure someone will port miui, just not worth my time right now, sorry, i'm more interested in overclocking CPU and GPU and other features that can be added into kernel + qualcomm optimizations to stock android, not much more.

EAS: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.xda-developers.com/google-pixel-fastest-android-phone-eas/amp/
Tl;dr: EAS is a new implementation to combine smooth ux/performance with minimum power. HMP is the normal stuff we use instead.
For an EAS kernel to work properly ROMs need to be optimised for EAS as well.

Wow, thanks for this, really looking forward to try it! I'm still all stock (no root) on Android 9 as my Note 10 Plus is Hong Kong region and only just a couple days ago (finally) the Android 10 firmware came out.
Should I root first, then upgrade the firmware and then install the Beastmode Kernel, or I need to directly upgrade the stock ROM first and then do the recovery/rooting already under Android 10 followed by flashing this new Kernel?
Thanks a lot
