hello guys, my dad gave me his galaxy tab 2 10.1 and i want to give it the xda treatment. the problem i have is that i cannot connect it to pc. it says mtp drivers are not installed. i tried everything i could find online.
what can i do? where can i find drivers that works with the tablet?
i am running win 7.
any help greatly appreciated!
EDIT. i just fineshed the factory reset and the tablet magically connected to windows!!

Hello all I've looked through these forms and goggled and I can't seem to find any answers so I hope someone here can help me. I have the 3113 Tab 2. I rooted it with CM9 9.1.0 build. I wanted to return the tab to stock but when I use the usb cable my pc doesn't see it. It will charge but never shows at a mass storage or anything. I have reinstalled Win 7 and loaded Samsung Keis drivers from Samsung website and still no luck. I have to different Usb cables and I have used them both on my desktop and laptop and the pc never recognizes the tablet. So I cannot use Odin to return my tab to stock. Not sure what else to try so if anyone has a solution to this please let me know. I'm going to order a new usb cable just encase that is the problem but other than that I don't know. Please if someone can point me in a direction that would really help. Thanks in advance.
I had a similar issue just installing the "drivers " as a stand alone thing on my Win7 x64, But when I re-installed the full PC Kies software package things worked just fine for me. Now anytime I flash a new ROM, Windows update searches and installs what I need automagically.

Having a similar issue. I rooted but haven't installed CM as yet. My laptop knows that something is plugged in and my tab knows that it's been plugged in. For some reason the disk drives (SDcard and extSDcard) don't show up and autoplay never happens. I left the Kies drivers on upon uninstalling it and that didn't help. Yesterday Windows Update downloaded a Samsung updated that worked up until I shut down my laptop. Pretty weird stuff.

I was wondering if anyone can help me. My Galaxy s3 won't show up on my computer anymore. It had been working until I also installed my old Wildfire S to test the backwards compatibility of an app I'm developing. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, I have debugging activated on my phone and the Wildfire S is working; It's just the Galaxy s3 won't work. I also have the Galaxy s3 rooted and running the PACman 20.0 rom with a cynogenmod kernel, I don't think that'd change anything, but if it does make a difference, I'd appreciate any knowledge on how to fix it. Any help is greatly appreciate.

Google where to download a driver for your phone. Drivers are needed for your computer to recognize your device. Sometimes, it will automatically install the driver and sometimes you have to install it manually.

I've already installed the drivers. It worked up until I installed drivers for an additional phone.

I have a Samsung tablet (GT-P3100) running Android 4.4.2 kitkat (3.0.101-mokee-Espresso 10++)-NIGHTLY.The tablet doesn't connect to my laptop..
It gives a "USB not recognised error". I reinstalled Samsung kies twice, downloaded the drivers from other sources and installed but in vain.
The cable i am using is a usb+charging cable that came with the tablet. I would like to mention that the problem came a month after i installed the Mokee rom(in the mean time everything was working fine).
Using the same cable,however, i am able to charge the tablet.
The tablet shows no other error.
The laptop is Dell Latitude E6320 (original windows 7 professional).
Any help and an early response would be highly appreciated.

Any Luck with this, I am having the same issue, My Tab 2 is also not been recognized here. I am stuck on Samsung Tab Initial Boot logo. All this happened when I was trying to flash custom rom on it.

try to uninstall drivers from pc, and install it again. maybe fix

Can anyone help me out with my tablet? It doesnt get detected on my laptop running windows 7 anymore. When i plug it into my laptop the battery logo on my tablet has a mark X on it. I want to flash a custom rom but i cant do it if my usb doesnt detect this tablet. It is running on 4.1.2
I tried installing kies so the drivers get installed and when that didnt work i tried uninstalling kies and installing the drivers by itself but it still didnt work. Can anyone help me out here please? I'll be forever grateful!
