my nexus 7 2012 wifi (nakasi) is having serious battery drain problem now (at first it was not having any problem but recently its having this problem). The battery drains from 100% to 0% in 1 hour ( i have a rooted one with GREENIFY for hibernation of all apps). then after i turn it on after the heat have gone from the nexus, it will have some 90% charge left in it. Irritated with this problem, someone please help me. I was using kitkat 4.4.4, but due to this problem i have downgraded to 4.2.2, but the battery drain problem persists!
Please Review [APP][2.1+][21 Dec. - V2.0RC4] BetterBatteryStats
Please install that App and take a text Log following the instructions in that thread. Make sure to take an Idle log. An Idle log is one where you reboot, then make sure the BetterBatteryStats app is working fine, and then leave the tablet alone for at leat 5 hours.
you may post such a log in that thread for the experts to review and provide suggestion on your problem.

Hi Team,
Just bought Micromax A90, but facing battery issue since past week. Earlier I used to get 1 and half days of battery backup and battery was consumed only 50%. But off late have observed battery does not last beyond 10 hours.
Used 2x battery, NQ Android booster, juice defender to get to the real cause, but of no help. Then can across this forum and downloaded BetterBatteryStats for further details.
Upon seeing the graph, it shows device used max battery while being Awake. Have disabled all sync, wifi and other things as per best practice but still not getting enough juice out of phone even after very less usage (like calls and internet use)
Attached are the log files from the device for reference.
Appreciate forums help in resolving this issue and restoring peace of mind.

Still facing the same issue.
Below stats for ref:
from 93% to 39% (5.9%/hr)
max used by
Awake = 100%
No Data connection = 100%
No or unknown signal = 100%
Also battery seemed to be a bit hot as it seemed that phone may be used full night. Attached logs for ref.
Not able to get to the exact root cause of the issue. Appreciate forum's help in isolating the problem.

Hi ,
My name is Nitin and i recently bought OnePlus One from US. From past 3 days I am facing very strange issue. My battery percentage will be around 28% and sudden within a flash of second the mobile will be off. It was not happening before. Dont know after the latest update it is happening. I somewhere read that it is due to double tab screen. Hence i disabled it but no use. Today is the 3rd time I have observed this.I am running on 44s(Latest Update) Please let me know what should I do?
Please Review [APP][2.1+][05 Jul. - V1.16] BetterBatteryStats
Especially the 3rd Post. That app will help you pin point causes of Battery drain.
Also post in Q&A] Help thread. Ask away! (Noob friendly) in case other users of this device have observed similar issue, or if you have defective unit.
Go to sleep at 10pm something when my phone battery is around 80-90% then next day woke up in morning 6 am it only left 5%

You may register on xda and discuss this issue in the [i9500][4.4.2] CyanogenMod 11.0 Discussion thread.
Or check alternative CM11 based ROMs, such as [GearCM][i9500][4.4.x] Optimized CyanogenMod 11 for Samsung Galaxy S4 [20141227v2], which claims to have better battery life.
But most of the time, such hugh battery drain is caused by an app ... not the ROM or kernel.
To find the culprit, you can install and use a battery stats app, such as Better Battery Stats (BBS) from Play store.
There is also an app thread for it on xda.
With root access, it can show you detailed information about the battery stats, the wakelocks and alarms, etc.
You can also create a dumpfile, upload it and ask in the app thread, if one of the "experts" can help to analyze it. I am sure tah you will get some helpful advices how to optimize your battery life.
Thread closed. Thank you.
Hello,
Looks like my home WiFi is causing battery drain in my OnePlus One. When it's turned ON I lose 30-35% during 24 hours and when it's OFF 5-7% (assuming that phone lies not used).
My device is rooted, running 05Q OTA and stock kernel. 4G is disabled. WiFi signal is quite low at the place where I used to use my OPO. But I don't think that is the casue of battery drain. My Nexus 7 (with CM12) doesn't have this problem. Maybe it's my router firmware?
You can see all screenshots at imgur (dot) com/a/kqquU (sorry for that but I can't post links because I don't have 10 posts on the XDA forum).
Overall my battery isn't that bad but the fact that lying device is awake for around 22% of time makes me worried.
I asked for help from OP support but according to them there is no issue with my battery. Hopefully you can help me.
Sorry for my bad English.
Cheers,

Hello, as you saw in the title of the thread, my Nokia 6 TA-1033 SS that is Rooted on Android 7.1.2 battery is draining very fast, and the cause of that draining is "Screen", my luminosity is at 45-40%, my standby time is only at 1 min., and the most strange thing is that Android System says that i only have approximatively 6h left before my battery goes to 0% but my battery is at 92%, and it's still draining now for no reason while i'm writing this, i precise that this happened all of a sudden. I searched the cause of this drain but couldn't find it, i'm using Greenify but nothing changes. Maybe I need to unroot my phone and upgrade to Android Oreo ? I don't know, if some of you Nokia 6 users have already faced this problem and solved it, please help me, it's really annoying. Thanks.
