[Q] Return to stock ROM - T-Mobile LG G2

Hey guys I need to return my phone because it developed a dead area at the touch screen and right now it's rooted and running the Cloudy G3 ROM, I remember doing a backup on the recovery before installing the ROM, how do I go back to that backup and return my phone to it's stock form? Thanks in advance!

Easiest way to go back. NOTE: The flashing of the .zip takes about half an hour or better. It is not stuck, go take a shower, cook a meal, beat some hookers on GTA.
Hope this helps!

[Q] Need Help! Return to Stock for Warranty Reasons

Hi everyone
I am a noob so be nice to me. I accidently cracked the screen on my Samsung Vibrant and so have a few questions about how to return the phone back to Stock/unrooted (just like befor i flashed). I am fine if i have to lose my contacts, apps. ect...
Background:
I rooted my phone with One-Click-Root/Unroot from XDA (loved it). I then flashed the latest Nero 5.0 ROM from Team Wiskey (Love it). As part of either the root or flashing the ROM(i can't remember which one), I downloaded "ROM Manager" with CWR.
Q #1: Is it as easy returning to stock ROM as just using "Flashing ClockworkMod Recovery" or should I have used "nandroid" (don't know what it does, but I see it talked about) also?
Q #2: I hear people say that you need Odin to return back to stock ROM, but then I hear that is ONLY if you don't have ROM Manager w/CWR. Do I need Odin or do I only need ROM Manager w/CWR?
Q #3: If all I need is ROM Manager w/CWR and it returnes back to what it was before i flashed, can i just us the "Unroot" button on the One-Click-Root/Unroot"?
Q #4(Last Question): Will I recieve OTA's if I have to us Odin and flash a stock ROM, how do I get back to stock and recieveing OTA's?
I understand that there are alot of posts asking how to return to stock but that is from people where something in the programs went wrong when trying to return to stock. I am just wondering what programs (other than ROM Manager and CWR) are need for me to return to stock? Please help, I don't want my phone to be rejected because my warranty is void. Thanks
Noob123
All thats needed to return to stock is a Nandroid backup of your original ROM.
Oh wait.....
Why do people totally fail at this?
What you need now is an original ROM for your device and then flash it from recovery.
So in other words, I need to download a 2.1 Rom (last version i had) from somewhere back on to my computer and then do the same things that i did to flash Nero 5? Is that where Odin comes in? OR, would CWR already have that ROM and everything all in one package?
Like I said, I am a nook. I am suprised that i didnt brick my phone rooting and flashing a ROM the first time. I may be pushing my luck going back to stock. But, it needs to be done if i want my phone fixed.
I would have a look HERE, in the Samsung Vibrant forum. I'm sure you'll find an Official ROM to Flash somewhere in there.
You would just put the .zip on your SD card, restart to Recovery and select the option to Flash from SD
Okay, i am getting it now. However, wont the "Update.zip" (Nero 5.0) be there on my SD memory already? Will i damage my phone if i delete the "Update.zip" and put in the Stock.zip (then do the recovery thing)? So once i get the Stock ROM uploaded on my phone, can i just use the one-click-unroot (from XDA) to have my phone be unrooted and new just like it was when i bought the phone? Will i get OTA's?
Thank you for your help, i am sorry for bugging you but i feel like i am starting to understand it more. These are probably the last questions that i have....probably

Rom Manager

Hey huys, Im coming from the vibrant to att captivate, tmobile vibrant was very simple to flash with rom manager can I do that with the captivate as well?
The only thing rom manager is good for is making the first update.zip with cwm for flashing a rom from stock, otherwise if you are on a custom rom it really isn't needed at all as all of the roms have an extended power many to boot into cwm recovery and from there it is the exact same process...
Kool thanks it seems that this is the only way I can do it coming from stock. Because if I press all three buttoms to throw me into clock recovery when I hit reinstall packages it tells me the signature fail so im going to use rom manager hopefully I don't brick my phone wish me luck. By the way incase I brick my phone ia there a way to odin back to stock and if there is can you guide me where I can get those files

Rom manager won't do you any good either. You need to look up 3e recovery and fix the signature problem

Oh!! You are on stock 2.2 it won't work. Do a search for 3e recovery signing, all update.zip files have to be digitally signed to work, there is a fix where that is no longer required. Or since I'm guessing you have the update.zip already you could use odin to get back to 2.1 which had 2e recovery and not have to fix the 3e or need to root for rom manager to work either.
Edit: pirate you are a ghost slipping in invisibly while I'm replying
Is a virgin phone stock 2.2 just rooted by super one click. Where can I get the file to fix the signature
umm you could have used the search function and had it by now...
in any case its in this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=909213
how many times is this rom manager/3e question going to be asked TODAY? im counting 3 sofar.
i answered the other 2.
and im up to 6 this week. all new threads..
At least he's not hellbent on flashing cm7.
I haven't posted much on here but I have been reading since June/July. I had this problem but found the answer thanks to the search feature. That is why I didn't even flash a rom until a week ago. I wanted to be informed, understand how everything works, etc. Thanks to all of you devs. for your hard work!

Remove Supercharged Atrix V5

I am way N00b at this but how do I remove this from my Atrix 2? It is eating up my battery and I can't open some of my apps, they force close. Is it possible to flash back to the point prior to this?
It was backed up before I started but know I cant find the back up. I just want to go back to the point when it was rooted. I used "MotoFail" to root and everything was going great and decided to try this, my bad, any ideas besides buying anoter phone?;-(

How did you back up?
If you used CWM (from the A2 Bootstrapper) just reboot into CWM, go to backup and restore, select restore, and select the backup that you made.
If you didn't use CWM or you can't find the backup then you will have to flash the fxz as said above. It will completely remove all of your apps and return you to stock 2.3.5. Make sure that you follow the directions about replacing files.
Thank you matt99017d I will check the link and cogeary I did the back up CWM I'll go that route first if that doesnt work, I'll go back to the beginning. Thank you again for the help
I could not find the backup in CWM so I flashed fxz following the instruction on the link you provided and the info. I'm back to 2.3.6 and it is rooted. Thats as far as I'm going for now, thanks for the help you all provided.
I see at /system/etc/init.d 2 files with sd-card optimization. 03sdtweak and 99override. Is there right or needed to delete one of them?
I highly suggest getting Titanium, for the cases where you don't have a back up, because I lost all my free apps and I don't even remember what all I had. I'm getting things back as I need them.

^ shows everything you've installed from the Android Market. You should have records somewhere if you got things from the Amazon Appstore.
I haven't tried it myself but if you've made a backup in CWM you have the option to only restore apps/data.
Well I decided to give SuperCharged V5 with update 1, and when I disconnected form the charger this morning it was stuck in the boot animation. It has been stuck in that position for the last 30 minutes.
I connected it to PC and it doesnt show as being connected. I've done a search and can't find anything on how to fix it.
I did a battery pull, took SD card out to see if I could maybe transfer something from it to desktop, but everything that was on it is gone.
Don't know what happened.
Can someone point me in the right direction?? In the mean time I'll keep looking.
Ozzie Im in a similar situation. I"m in a bootloop as well (Supercharged Logo just keeps rolling on the screen). I can't get into the Android OS, and I also can't even get into Fastboot to flash back to stock. At this time it appears its bricked. I have been trying to fix this the past 12 hours.
Are you in the same situation??!

I am sorry to say, but if you can't get into fastboot it's probably bricked
so i installed V5 and update 2 and i am getting the force closes and my phone won't show up when i plug the usb into my computer
and i can't delete or edit files in my files and i can't open any websites or connect to airdroid on wifi, or use data so i can't get any files onto my phone
help...
flashing the stock fxz worked
Man...and I was gonna do this...flash the supercharged ROM. Nevermind.
after i flashed the 2.3.5 fxz like the bootstrapping thread instructed, i installed the ota update and rooted my phone again and then i tried the custom rom again just for fun
but this time i did v5 and then update 1. then instead of doing update 2, i flashed the image of the rom that's linked right under update 2 in the supercharged thread
it works flawlessly for me now
so i would just recommend that

[Q] I need LG P925g Stock rom

Hello,
Recently, i have installed CM7 on my LG P925g and all work perfectly.
But i changed my phone for Samsung Galaxy S2 and i give my old phone for my girlfriend. She doesn't like CM7 and i though it will be more easier for her to get back the Stock rom than CM7.
I did a lot research on the web about this and i can't find anything good.
I find some threads...but with dead links.
Do someone can send me a LG P925g Stock rom that i can flash with CWM with a zip. ?
Or a Backup that i can use with CWM ( zip file )
I hope you could help me please...!!

If i remember correctly you can download and install the lg mobile support tool (http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LGP925G scroll down a bit) write down your imei, (settings>about), then pop out the battery hold volume up and plug the usb cable in, aka download mode, the mobile support tool if you have it running and on the screen will try to look at it don't worry about that, Click on the customer support tab, the bottom item recovery phone, this is where your imei comes in, from there type in the IMEI and check, it should find the stock 20c firmware and from there it may need a few more clicks but you'll restore to stock 20c no custom recovery/root, but completely stock 20c.
Hope it helps, worked for me last time i screwed up lol
I justed registered to say thx!
Same problem here, screwed up and didnt know how to establish a working data connection with the pc..
the hint with the download mode really helped a lot, I didnt know that you had do pop out the battery, hold the volume up button and plug in the usb cable..
You can install any custom rom so there are many ROMs which are very stable and it's like the official rom too much not like the CM7 .. but you MUST do a backup before flash any CWM .zip so how cloud you install CM7 with out do a backup ??
