I purchased a Note Pro 12.2 SM-P900 from Best Buy yesterday. It is the WIFI version - No LTE. I have rooted it with Chainfire's Auto Root and installed TWRP.
I am interested in flashing a custom rom but before I do, I wanted to find a Stock Tar that I can use in case I have issues. The Build it came with is KOT49H P900UEU1BNK1 -
I tried Sammobile - and they appear to have this version - but none of them say US - there are a number of other countries listed, including Canada and Mexico - but no US.
Anybody have any idea where I can find a stock tar in case I run into issues? I am hesitate to try flashing anything more than what I have so far - JUST IN CASE -
Your suggestions are appreciated....

Thank you - THis is going to sound a bit NOOBISH _ forgive me in advance - I just want to be careful as this is my time flashing a TABLET - I have flashed and rooted lots of phones -
But as I said in my original post, I don't have Data on this Tablet - Just Wifi - so am I correct in thinking that all roms made for Note Pro P900 is the correct rom for me ?
I did find what I needed on Sammobile (After all) thanks for the help - I still want to verify that the P900 roms are specifically for the Note Pro 12.2 that only has WIFI - no Cellular Service.....anyone?
That's correct, only use ROMs intended for the Wifi version.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to do a nandroid backup using TWRP. You can then copy that file to your computer for safe keeping. For my devices I sometimes like to keep an nandroid backup on the device (on a microsd card for example) just in case I want to restore to it after making a mistake (which I haven't had to do yet on this tablet since purchase in April).

Thank you very much - I was a little nervous when I first started toying with rooting and flashing on the tablet - but I feel much better now, I am really pleased with Samsung Tablets and Phones - they are amazingly resilliant - I have never hard bricked any device (knock on wood) and have always been able to 'fix' a problem by using ODIN and returning to Stock -
My intial concern was in identifying the correct 'files' or software needed - your comments and a little research has reassured me = the SM-P900 IS the wifi only version - the version with LTE must be the 901 or 905 -
Now I am just curious if we are going to be getting TW Lollipop next year?
anyway - thank you for your help - it is greatly appreciated..

I am currently implementing an alternate method of Rooting which I have found to be successful by means of Pre-Rooting the system.img file. I have previously released Pre-Rooted ROMs for the Galaxy S II and wanted to continue this development for the Galaxy S III.
Why use this Root Method? Well the main reasons are:
- You have a complete Odin Flashable ROM Package.
- No Insecure Kernels are used or required.
- You can flash these packages on Non-Rooted devices
- The Binary Flash Counter will NOT increase when flashing these ROM Packages.
- The Red Exclamation Mark will NOT appear at boot up.
- And finally, you only have to flash one file in Odin and you have a complete firmware including Root Permissions.
What Root Package is used in these ROMs?
- Busybox 1.20.2 (Newer ROMs)
- SuperSU 1.51 (Newer ROMs)
Previously released ROMs may have an older Busybox and SuperSU package installed.
Please Note: This Root Method does not include a Custom Recovery. This is for people who only require Root Permissions. If you do require a Custom Recovery, you will need to flash this yourself separately.

Is there any advantage to those of us already rooted and with a red "!" on our screens to flash this rom? Secondly, after flashing this rom, would flashing custom recovery raise the counter and or bring back the "!"?
Thanks.
Just a quick question really...Getting my i9305 on friday, and wondering how much bloat orange put into this firmware?
Cheers
I git mine from t mobile & there's very little from them. The vast majority is the usual Samsung bloatware you even get on unlocked phones. I think as t mobile & orange are sort of the same, you shouldn't expect much bloatware from them specifically

It's practically unbranded as this software is for EE network so everything is non specific towards t-mobile and orange.

Backup before or after. My roms are stock so you are safe either way.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2
Backing up efs folder is always a good idea and with our device you can even backup without root.
So which root method is the safest? I have something called GT-I9305N
This is all stock, did one OTA upgrade when I got the phone yesterday.
Sweden actually has two different 4G/LTE variants depending on operator, one for Telenor/Tele2(2600/900 MHz) and one for Telia (2600/800 MHz), where only LTE frequencies differ. Mine is from Comviq.se(Tele2 with prepaid variant due to I didn't want to change my subscription terms to some thing new&bad)
Any suggetions? THanks!

Okay, but when i saw those i've became surprised as i did not expect that the Tab 4 can get a taste of Sammy's Lollipop

You're going to be waiting for months, at least. First they're going to do the other models, which probably won't be until June, at least, and will be ongoing into July and probably August, if not longer. Then they'll slooooooowly start rolling out other regions. The build available now is for the Spain region, so I would be willing to bet the Italian language will be available, if that's your concern. And you don't need root to install these updates.
An example, I have an international model Galaxy S4 Active. The first LP update was released back in January, but they're still rolling out new regions, and even now there's only about 5 or 6 different regions available for a phone that is sold around the world in nearly every region imaginable. Since you especially don't have to worry about any specific carrier, what do you have to lose trying this update out?

Hello, have anyone tried update SM-T535 / GALAXY Tab4 10.1 4G to official Lollipop 5.0.2?
I'd like to know does it have multi-user options on Lollipop firmware?
Hey,
There is a new firmware 5.0 for our Note 3 : N9005XXUGPOF3
CSC : NEE
Anyone has tried it ?
Changelist is lower than the KSA Version
PDA: N9005XXUGPOF3 CSC: N9005NEEGPOF3 CHANGELIST: 4935104 BUILD DATE: 17.06.2015
PDA: N9005XXUGBOEA CSC: N9005OJVGBOE4 CHANGELIST: 5020004 BUILD DATE: 29.05.2015
Yea but it's builed after BOEA (KSA)
Changelist is more important, not the build date!!!
Gesendet von meinem SM-N9005 mit Tapatalk
And this is lower- changelist
I've seen several official roms released with different rom and kernel filesizes and with same changelist.
Highest changelist may not be the latest version of Android, if the required changes are for specific countries only.
I need the Modem and Bootloader from this rom please.
There is a newer one (higher changelist) and is latest Brazilian's one (see screenshot)
I installed the new firmware. N9005XXUGPOF3_N9005NEEGPOF3_NEE
first impression:
* stable
* google applications have been updated to the latest version
I do not care changelog number.
it's just a number and i don't know what criteria is placed.
I watch the build data and this firmware is the latest. ( Build date : Wed, 17 Jun 2015 09:30:11 +0000 )
Do you know if I can downgrade from this rom to Kitkat ?
Does this update get rid of the delay while clearing recent apps? Heard the last Indian update for Exynos units solved the problem (or at least minimised it), so wondering whether this one does that or not.
Unified Daemon bug is still in this Rom... :/
Are you sure about the Unified Daemon bug? I installed the Nordic ROM two days ago, and usage only shows 17KB. Fair enough on the first day battery drain was fast, but it seems to be settling down and has now lasted longer. Pulled it off charge this morning and after four hours of emailing, surfing, and watching a Netflix movie battery is at 90%.
And for devilsdouble , yes it does get rid of the delay clearing recent apps. I found that annoying too.

Exactly. It's pointless to think that Samsung would build something later in time with a lower changelist. The only difference in changelist is different region, or Carrier implementations. XXU (Europe, or EMEA in a way) has most of the attention, i've always noticed changelist number differences with the Americas version (Brazil, and mostly South America) and also the Asian ones (Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore and Honk-Kong). All that means is that Samsung has split this in to three pools of maintenance who seem to merge once in a while.
Basically i think it's useless to compare the changelist from different regions, for the sake of Modem/Baseband/CSC compatibility, i'd always go with the region your phone is made for initially.
EDIT: anyone got a mirror yet?
I've recieved an official update on my Note3, now my baseband /bootloader /pda/ is N9005XXUGPOF3, while the CSC is N9005NEEGPOF3. I live in Italy
The phone is still stable and smooth, but the battery leakage is crazy.
I would like to root the phone and install twrp to put on some custom rom. Does anybody know if and how I can do it?
I was checking about chainfire root method and i have to choose one of those too,
SM-N9005 (International Qualcomm): CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip
(only works on 4.4 bootloaders, if you're still on 4.3 use the old version which you can find here:...)
Which is my bootloader version at this time?
Can I use safely the 4.4 bootloader version?
How should i procede to root the phone?

Downloading and installing the APK wouldn't help so save yourself the time and trouble.
AFAIK, the beta program was suppose to end on Dec 15 anyways but even if it's still running, you cannot enroll in it because they reached the maximum number of beta testers.
In addition, the beta only opened for a small number of markets (UK, US, Korea) determined by the specific carrier's firmware (in case of the US SD820 variants) or specific CSC (for example the BTU variant of the SM-G930F)
At the moment the options you have are as follows:
1. The stable route - flash your device to the latest 6.0.1 release from the XSA (Australia) or BTU (UK) using ODIN - these seem to be getting the first rollouts of new versions - and wait for the official 7.x release which should arrive in the next few weeks - note: flashing a different CSC firmware may cause some carrier issues (lower speeds, loss of VoLTE and WiFi calling, etc..)
2. Flash the official ZPK1 (Beta 1) BTU Android 7.0 beta with Odin - it contains Nov 2016 security patches and has some quirks (and same note as before regarding the CSC )
3. Flash an unofficial ZPL3 based rom and trip knox (this may affect your warranty depends where you live) - not sure about CSC selection (I guess it varies by the ROM)

Sure and I agree. Just replied to his request (not able to download the beta app)
Is there an ODIN flashable STOCK BETA 4 or 5 available for Samsung Galaxy S7 NOUGAT?

Hi
Check here
Hi,
I just ordered a Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) Exynos and got it with a stock firmware from United Kingdom (EE):
Product code EVR
PDA G930FXXU1DQE7
So here is what I need to know:
Is it possible to flash this stock firmware from T-Mobile Germany without rooting and bricking the device using ODIN:
Model SM-G930F
Model name Galaxy S7
Country Germany (T-Mobile)
Version Android 7
Changelist 11104523
Build date Fri, 12 May 2017 10:07:54 +0000
Security Patch Level 2017-05-01
Product code DTM
PDA G930FXXU1DQEA
CSC G930FDDX1DQD3
I need to have that firmware on the device to be able to use VOLTE in that network since that does not work with the other stock firmware.
Thanks in advance for any help. I just want to make sure not to brick anything. Hope you can help me out.
Best regards,
glorox

International models can generally all flash firmware from different regions as long as they have the same model number.
