[ROMS] Updated: 17/08/2013 - Pre-Rooted / Original Stock Odin Packages! - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Android Deve

I am currently implementing an alternate method of Rooting which I have found to be successful by means of Pre-Rooting the system.img file. I have previously released Pre-Rooted ROMs for the Galaxy S II and wanted to continue this development for the Galaxy S III.
Why use this Root Method? Well the main reasons are:
- You have a complete Odin Flashable ROM Package.
- No Insecure Kernels are used or required.
- You can flash these packages on Non-Rooted devices
- The Binary Flash Counter will NOT increase when flashing these ROM Packages.
- The Red Exclamation Mark will NOT appear at boot up.
- And finally, you only have to flash one file in Odin and you have a complete firmware including Root Permissions.
What Root Package is used in these ROMs?
- Busybox 1.20.2 (Newer ROMs)
- SuperSU 1.51 (Newer ROMs)
Previously released ROMs may have an older Busybox and SuperSU package installed.
Please Note: This Root Method does not include a Custom Recovery. This is for people who only require Root Permissions. If you do require a Custom Recovery, you will need to flash this yourself separately.

Great work It would be very good to also put out a release date of the official firmware. Just so we know what is the latest

excellent, i have the same version rom on my orange/EE S3 which means i can finally go ahead and root my device without fear of losing my stock branded firmware.
Just a quick question will a factory reset unroot the device in case i want to send it back ?

do I need to back up efs? new to andorid, thanks
do i need to back up efs? if so, seems root is required. but how can I get it rooted before I install this room ( other root method will change the binary record)
thanks

I never said it was latest. As its the only one on there for the time being then it has nowhere else to be except the top of the list!

The ROMS you find here are already rooted. Flash with Odin and enjoy your rooted device!
Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2

Is there any advantage to those of us already rooted and with a red "!" on our screens to flash this rom? Secondly, after flashing this rom, would flashing custom recovery raise the counter and or bring back the "!"?
Thanks.

Just a quick question really...Getting my i9305 on friday, and wondering how much bloat orange put into this firmware?
Cheers

I git mine from t mobile & there's very little from them. The vast majority is the usual Samsung bloatware you even get on unlocked phones. I think as t mobile & orange are sort of the same, you shouldn't expect much bloatware from them specifically

It's practically unbranded as this software is for EE network so everything is non specific towards t-mobile and orange.

Backup before or after. My roms are stock so you are safe either way.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2

Backing up efs folder is always a good idea and with our device you can even backup without root.

So which root method is the safest? I have something called GT-I9305N
This is all stock, did one OTA upgrade when I got the phone yesterday.
Sweden actually has two different 4G/LTE variants depending on operator, one for Telenor/Tele2(2600/900 MHz) and one for Telia (2600/800 MHz), where only LTE frequencies differ. Mine is from Comviq.se(Tele2 with prepaid variant due to I didn't want to change my subscription terms to some thing new&bad)
Any suggetions? THanks!

You can but the only Rom available here at the moment is the UK EE Rom so it will only have Orange UK and T-Mobile UK APN settings. But this Rom is otherwise unbranded. No Network startup logos.

Ok, but I can change these APN settings with the good ones?

So, does anyone have the stock rom for USA & AT&T? (Build # JRO03C.GC100UCALJG).
I'm trying to unroot my camera and get it back to stock, but after following all the standard unroot procedures, it still claimed to be custom.
I then tried a factory reset, and now it can't seem to connect to Wi-Fi anymore . Just keeps going downhill...

OK, I broke down and installed samsung Kies on my Windows box and was able to force it to reinstall the stock firmware, which seems to have everything working again (although Kies appears to be the grandaddy of all bloatware .
There doesn't appear to be a 4.1.2 update for USA/AT&T models yet (at least not one Kies knows about), but at least my camera now reports it is running the official firmware so it should be able to get the OTA update when it appears.
I have had one from Samsung for a while. Never used it much. Now I decide to take a look at this but mine is from Korea and says it is SK-Telecom LTE version.
Wondering if I can just flash radio + rom for AT&T and use it in the US.
List is obviously out of date as 4.1.2 has been available for the Galaxy Camera for some time now. Appreciate the OP taking effort to post however.

Stock roms from different countries?

Here is the thing, my girlfriend bought an used Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-I5100) in Thailand and was going to let me set it up and update it to newest firmware.
When I got IT and wanted to update to Jelly Bean, I found out it has Italian product code (Italy - ITV) and is stuck on version 4.0.3 (PDA: P5100XWALD7, Modem: P5100XXLD7 and CSC: P5100ITVALE2) and I can't change the language to Thai for her so she understands what's what when she is using it.
So my question:
Is it possible for me to get the stock rom for Thailand and flash it via Odin so she can have the tablet on Thai and so she can receive the latest updates?
I'm new to the Android rooting and flashing world so if this is possible can someone direct me to an good how-to guide for doing this.
Thanks

I'm downloading the Netherlands version (I presume you used the German one) and try without the .pit and wipe, if it doesn't work - then shall I apply the .pit.
Do these carrier branded firmwares include lots of bloatware?

TNL has a fair bit of bloatware, but nearly all can be deleted. About 7-9, I believe. The My T-mobile app and Travel&Surf app are not relevant to the actual network functions (they're Dutch-only account apps) and can be safely deleted.
Should be a few other Dutch junk apps as well, such as scoupy and HRS hotels. If you find an app but you're not sure what it is, I can probably tell you. (And if not, I can ask the dev team.)
Oh, it does have a very annoying startup jingle. Mind the volume if you reboot at night

TNL is build from PHN, which is the same size as BTU. You shouldn't need a pitfile if you're on an Unbranded western EU rom.
It's non-wipe.

So seems like Unbranded to Branded is a no go. Flashed back Poland Unbranded BOB6 and phone is now booting.
VoLTE
Does this ROM have VoLTE, like the previous version (OC3)? BOB6 doesn't, and some say Samsung opted to enable VoLTE only for some countries (for which OC3 was created).

I said Unbranded Western EU ROM. XEO always has size issues with western ROMS, particularly DBT/BTU/PHN/XEF (which are basically all the same).

My phone's default is DBT (Germany), then flashed with the Unbranded 5.0 Poland as even to this date there is no released DBT 5.0 firmware. Anyway, no harm was done.
I am on Poland unbranded BOB6 5.0 right now.
If I intend to flash this directly with the PIT file, will I lose all my files?
Which PIT file should i use to upgrade from the Polish BOB6 to this? I've tried both PITs mentioned on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/finally-official-5-0-firmware-galaxy-t3029557 (page 114) to no avail.

This is definitely a very noob question, but I don't want to mess anything up. I've rooted and installed a custom rom on my S4 mini, but otherwise I have not much past experience.
The details of my S6 as it is currently are below:
Model number
SM-G920F
Android Version
5.1.1
Baseband version
G920FXXU3COI9
Kernel version
3.10.61-S6_UniKernel_v2-0003_rb

Build number

I'd like to install a Marshmellow stock S6 build on my S6, particularly, the UK Vodafone build as of 03-03-2016 on sammobile dot com.
I noticed that the PDA for the UK Vodafone 6.0.1 build on sammobile dot COM is G920FXXU3DPB8 and the CSC is G920FVFG3DPB8.
Will I be able to flash this ROM successfully without compromising any of the functionality of my phone and be able to use all functions? I am in South Africa.
What are the things that I need to be careful of when trying to install builds on my phone (to ensure full functionality)?
Thanks if you can help!
You can install any SM-G920F official ROMs to your device.
I prefer to use ROMs with SER CSC code.

Thanks for your reply!
Would my device still work correctly with my local carrier if I installed the UK Vodafone 6.0.1 ROM?

Of course.
I'd suggest flashing BTU or XEU for UK devices

[Completed] Advice on installing new firmware to Samsung Galaxy S5

Hi everyone, I have some questions regarding my phone so here we go.
I have an S5 that I bought a couple of years ago with the following:
Model: SM-G900V
Android: 4.4.4
Baseband: G900VVRU1ANI2
I can't upgrade the Android version by going to the menu so I was thinking on installing a new firmware and found one on firmwarefile dot com but it has different values on PDA and CSC:
Android Version: 6.0.1
Product code: VZW (USA Verizon)
PDA: G900VVRU2DPD1
CSC: G900VVZW2DPD1
and another one with:
PDA: G900VVRU2DPG2
CSC: G900VVZW2DPG2
So in order to not screw it up:
Which firmware will work best for me?
By installing another firmware version, is there a chance my phone be no longer unlocked?
Does all firmware out there have the stock apps? (not a problem since I can be root and uninstall them)
What would be the maximum version available for my phone?
I'll appreciate any help provided, thanks in advance!

Greetings and welcome to assist. I would normally recommend the latest firmware or the one that is the closest region to you. You can use this to download the latest firmware
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/updato-largest-online-firmware-archive-t3413785
and flash through odin but you will need to re/root once you use odin. You could also use kies/smartswitch to upadte as well
Good Luck
