Hi everyone, I have some questions regarding my phone so here we go.
I have an S5 that I bought a couple of years ago with the following:
Model: SM-G900V
Android: 4.4.4
Baseband: G900VVRU1ANI2
I can't upgrade the Android version by going to the menu so I was thinking on installing a new firmware and found one on firmwarefile dot com but it has different values on PDA and CSC:
Android Version: 6.0.1
Product code: VZW (USA Verizon)
PDA: G900VVRU2DPD1
CSC: G900VVZW2DPD1
and another one with:
PDA: G900VVRU2DPG2
CSC: G900VVZW2DPG2
So in order to not screw it up:
Which firmware will work best for me?
By installing another firmware version, is there a chance my phone be no longer unlocked?
Does all firmware out there have the stock apps? (not a problem since I can be root and uninstall them)
What would be the maximum version available for my phone?
I'll appreciate any help provided, thanks in advance!

Greetings and welcome to assist. I would normally recommend the latest firmware or the one that is the closest region to you. You can use this to download the latest firmware
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/updato-largest-online-firmware-archive-t3413785
and flash through odin but you will need to re/root once you use odin. You could also use kies/smartswitch to upadte as well
Good Luck

I really dont know the benefit from 10-posts limit but however... I have to post 10 posts before I can ask in Artemis ROM thread this question:
1.) To everyone how flashed with HSPL 3.03.00000, what RAM utilization do you have after opneing all tabs?
2.) To Sternas, Would it be a great idea to remove all the Windows Live and Marketplace apps which doesnt have any functionality since Microsoft gave Wndows Mobile up?
3.) To Sternas: Thank you for this ROM!
Hey guys!
I got a question, can I just flash the french XEF update COI9, available since a few days, over my older, branded COH2 firmware without wiping or factory resetting anything? I don't want to wait for my updates for ages...
Current AP: G920FFXXU2QOH8
Current CP: G920FXXU2COH2
Current CSC: G920FVFG2COH4
Model: SM-G920F
It should be a branded S6 from Austria.
Thanks for ur help, I appreciate it!

Yes you can, but if you don't do a factory reset and wipes, you may have issues.
Hi
as I mentioned in an other post, yes it can be flashed. BUT you may consider, because U can't go back!
and the spo2 and stress meter is not working with this rom.
bye
p.s.: there is a new update, i will test it as soon as it will be downloaded (missing features )
ps. 2: i gave a try on this:
Model SM-G920F
Model name GALAXY S6
Country France
Version Android 5.1.1
Changelist 5816106
Build date Fri, 25 Sep 2015 07:07:03 +0000
Product code XEF
PDA G920FXXU3COI9
CSC G920FOXA3COJ1
but spo2, and stress meter is not working ..... But maybe this is a country restriction. i don't know yet

Hello people.
This is definitely a very noob question, but I don't want to mess anything up. I've rooted and installed a custom rom on my S4 mini, but otherwise I have not much past experience.
The details of my S6 as it is currently are below:
Model number
SM-G920F
Android Version
5.1.1
Baseband version
G920FXXU3COI9
Kernel version
3.10.61-S6_UniKernel_v2-0003_rb

Build number

I'd like to install a Marshmellow stock S6 build on my S6, particularly, the UK Vodafone build as of 03-03-2016 on sammobile dot com.
I noticed that the PDA for the UK Vodafone 6.0.1 build on sammobile dot COM is G920FXXU3DPB8 and the CSC is G920FVFG3DPB8.
Will I be able to flash this ROM successfully without compromising any of the functionality of my phone and be able to use all functions? I am in South Africa.
What are the things that I need to be careful of when trying to install builds on my phone (to ensure full functionality)?
Thanks if you can help!
You can install any SM-G920F official ROMs to your device.
I prefer to use ROMs with SER CSC code.

Thanks for your reply!
Would my device still work correctly with my local carrier if I installed the UK Vodafone 6.0.1 ROM?

Of course.
I'd suggest flashing BTU or XEU for UK devices
OK, there are dozens of solutions to rooting a Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 phone on the web, but none of them have worked for me.
The problem seems to be that the solutions are too "old" and don't take into account new firmware updates. Or the solutions are for different variants of the phone, there seems to be so many.
So, my particular phone is:
AP: J320FNXXUOAPK2 (PDA Version)
CP: J320FNXXUOAPK1 (Phone Version)
CSC: J320FNOXX0APK1 (CSC Version)
The OS is Lollipop 5.1.1
Does anyone know how to root this EXACT MODEL of phone?
Also, I have been unable to find a working version of TWRP for this model, so if you know of one I would very much appreciate a link to it.
Cheers

or previous firmware of GT-7582 Philippines Globe. Thankyou
You don't need a specific firmware version to update, just select any firmware for S7582 it will work fine, don't care about the country
It's better to use a non-carrier firmware version because carrier firmware usually have extra bloatware in it.
