Really great work
Typed on my Xperia Z3 while underwater.

I would like to thank all of you for supporting Epic Escape. We reached more than 200 downloads in a week with 4,8 star rating on Google play.

Nice fist game! Great and challenging platformer! Why is the music off by default? Also, while the sound option is on by default, I heard no sound effects so far

Will try this on my lower end device and report back.
Smooth on my Xperia Z3 though

We found out during development the music one of most irritating thing after new install, so we decided to turn it off by default, and about sound effects...this could be caused because on low memory we trash sound effects, but to be honest the sound is only on most buttons clicks and on jump...we would gladly add many sound effects but we dont have much time for that right now...mabye in some future update

I just looked into our code and onLowMemory will only shut down music...sorry for that, we will try to fix sound effects (in most cases they work)...

[GAME][2.2+][FREE] Heriswap - sweet puzzle game

Hello guys,
Soupe au caillou (means "Stone Soup" in english) is a french team of development. Our goal is to make quality games because there is a lack on android.
So our first game is called Heriswap, available on the store in english or french. It's a match3 game in which sound track and graphics are polished up.
Everyone can play it, including children or cats and at the same time hardcore player can play&compare each other with Openfeint !
Let me know if you have any questions, tips or feelings about it .
For developers : the sources are under GPL3 license so you can download them on our website !
Actually sweet
I tried your game, and I must congratulate you on your choices of colors and simple/beautiful and clean graphics. Music too is really pleasing on ears.
Here are a few suggestions that I have:
- When I get stuck I should be shown a hint. Because sometimes you know just cant find the pattern and thus game becomes slow.
- There should be some powers like special leafs etc and/or when we collect 4 or 5 together.
Maybe I should give it a try lol.
simple match3
not the best match 3 game and not so interesting but rather simple and cute

Thanks for these suggestions, we'll try to implemant them on next update, plus adding the following :

Yeah it was the aim of the game, make it simply, but can you give me some interesting match3 ? I'd like to try one .
Thanks for feedbacks !
Hello, we made our probably last update for Heriswap yesterday !
We added a "highlighter" at the end of the game which is showing one remaining combination.
Fixed bugs on restore (it shouldn't bug anymore including ICS).
Optimizing some things.
We are now working around our next game, but let me know your feedbacks for a potential update perhaps !
Hello!
The last update took a little (big) more time to end up, but here it is : final version of heriswap (excepts bug corrections) is there!
We added a hint when you get stuck (vihag we listened to you ), plus one more gamemode and an intermediate difficulty.
Enjoy it!

[GAME] Finger Shepherd (Android)

Hi all,
I've been developing my game for a couple of years now (you reallly can't underestimate how long these things take when done in your spare time!)
I've finally released it, so would be interested in the feedback of you knowledgeable bunch. The game is called Finger Shepherd and is a sheep herding game with 3D graphics. As you know, there's only so many devices I can test on myself so any bugs / issues / suggestions / feedback would be greatly appreciated.
The package is called "shibby.fingershepherd"; if someone else could post the URL for me I'd be grateful!
Mod Edit: Here you go
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=shibby.fingershepherd
Some screenshots attached.
Thanks for any feedback you can provide!
Lewis (Shibby)
good game it's really fun
Nice work! Love it!
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
This is quite interesting.
And I find that the sheep there are so lovable.
Thanks - much appreciated!
I've had a few comments that the difficulty is too high on some of the water levels. The drop-off rate through the online leaderboards seems to support this, so I'm planning to make a few tweaks...
Finger Shepherd Updated
I have now published an update. Any more feedback, please let me know and I'll work to improve the game
Changelog:
Much needed tweaking of difficulty on a number of levels
Lighting bugfix
Tip display bugfix on smaller screens
Performance optimised on certain devices
You can now unlock one of the minigames by sharing on twitter
The new version is displayed as 1.0.2.
I'd appreciate it if any users here would have a go at enabling Gree and logging some scores to the leaderboards - this uses 3rd party code that could do with as much testing as possible ( much like my own code really )
When screen turns off after you win the game goes to pause menu from which you can only restart or go back to game youve already won. Otherwise very nice game
Hi,
Just letting you know that the game has been updated again! Target times have been adjusted again based on user feedback. Also there is a brand new minigame called "The Maze" waiting for you to play :victory:
Very fun and nice idea ! I had my finger on the screen when it first started it took me by surprise
The game runs smooth and very well, I just noticed that you are allowing the user to change some stuff that as developers we use mostly to debug such as the FPS which in my opinion you can make it (even as a setting) disabled and invisible to the user. Much better UX in my opinion
Also, It worked well on a relatively low end device = ), didn't expect that as it is 3D
Again nice game and well done! Left you a comment on GP for support : )
Really nice game. Looks like all your time and effort paid off.
Thanks folks, I'm chuffed you like the game The feedback is useful and I intend to keep up with the updates.

I'm glad you like it! I'm not totally convinced that it's paid off, however It's so difficult to get downloads - very few per day, and it's on its way down the rankings at the moment. Hard to see where new downloads will come from... It's incredibly competitive in the play store nowadays - might be a different story if I had released it 2 years ago.
Sorry, don't mean to sound too depressed about it! It's been a fun experience developing the game and I'm already thinking about the next one
good game it's really fun
but graphics makes my cry

[GAME][2.3+] Bad Fin

Hello everyone, I've just released a new FREE game on the Google play market called "Bad Fin", it's a high score casual game.
The aim of the game is to stay away from the shark whilst avoiding moving obstacles.
I've had a few friends to try it out and tell me what they think but I don't know if I can trust their opinions.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tap.f
I would love to keep improving this game, so please criticise away
Surely someone must have tried this game?

The game looks very nice. The graphics are funny and the movement is smooth. I think an increasing difficulty would make newcomers less frustrated. I played it and liked it but I was unable to get trough more that 10 columns

Thanks, was trying to follow in the footsteps of games such as stick hero and flappy bird where the game is really difficult at first, but with enough practice you can get a really high score.
Such a hardcore game my highest scrore is 9. I think the player should get rewarded for not touching pillars. Big shark is acting like freaking Neo, dodging everything, loving life. IMO just slow shark a bit every pillar with crash/shake effect so good player can get away.
I really like how smooth it is and how it well it runs.
Here are my issues:
No explanation on how to control the fish
Tapping right should lower the fish instead of making it rise
Tapping left should raise the fish
Maybe these are just personal preferences but that's how it was intuitively for me.
Quite interesting app

Hi, thanks for playing the game.
1) Their is a "How to play" button on the first menu
2) I thought right would be more synonymous with going up, but I can understand your preference.
I may add text on the main game to help users remember the controls and I'll see what I can do about giving the user the option to change controls.

Great feedback, I'll see what I can do about balancing the game a bit more, at the moment the shark swims at the same speed as the fish. and if you don't hit any obstacles you wont slow down.
I was thinking of incorporating some sort of shatter effect when the shark hits a pillar but flying pillar particles may end up hitting the fish in the back, making the game much harder XD
By the way what kind of reward did you have in mind? a tiny speed boost perhaps?

Giving the option to customize controls would be too much hassle in my opinion. Just go for a simple text or graphic when the game starts that illustrates that pressing right will make the fish down and viceversa for left.

I was thinking about "hidden" distance reset. "The shark swims at the same speed as the fish", but let's imagine little fish got some acceleration, every time player face tanking obstacle - you just reset current velocity to initial value.
onLittleFishSwimming(dt):
t+=dt
Vf = Vi + a*t
onLittleFishCollision():
t = 0; // Vf == Vi (reset)

Here you go: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/
Just saved you years of learning to produce music
All music on that site is free for commercial use as long as you give the author credit (either in the game or in the google play description). Check the "soundtrack" section on the site.

[GAME][2.3+]Color Chains

Hello everyone,
A couple of days ago I published my first Android project - a game called Color Chains. It's somewhat similar to "Match 3" games, but you have to make "chains" of cells in which each 2 consequent cells have a different color. The longer the chain, the more points you will earn.
The game is on the Google PlayStore, however due to a low number of posts I cannot post the full URL, and I apologise for that. I've also attached the APK.
h**ps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.frozenraindrop.colorchains
The gameplay is pretty simple - tap, hold, and drag to select, release to validate your selection and earn points. You will compete against time, but every 100 points you will earn additional time. Every 250 points you will get the ability to randomize the whole board, which can be useful if you have big clusters of same-colored cells. Every 60 seconds the game will advance in level, which means that you will earn more points (5% multiplier per level), but earn less bonus time (-1sec per level). After 10 minutes of gameplay you will reach level 10, complete the challenge, have your score recorded, and then you can continue playing.
The game was developed in Unity 4.6 and Unity 5.0 (which are to blame for the huge APK size) and is ad-supported.
I welcome any comments, suggestions, ideas, etc. Thank you in advance
The game is pretty simple, but it works well and it's fun to play. It's a nice difference to the multitude of match-3 games available. Good work.

Thank you. It is indeed simple. As a matter of fact I think that if anything, there might be a bit of a feature creep. The "leveling" feels a bit artificial and I'm considering removing it.
Btw, I'd appreciate it if anyone can test the game and confirm that it's working as intended on a Galaxy S3. It stops working after a while on my girlfriend's S3 (running stock Samsung 4.3 ROM), but it's a weird bug and I cannot reproduce it on another device. I've tested it on two Nexus 5s and a Nexus 7 (2012), both running Lollipop, as well as a LG G2 running 4.x, and it seems to run fine on those.

Planet Exis ( Metroid Style game) great storyline, action adventure game

You play as special elite forces Sena on a deadly mission. Earth has sent you down to Planet Exis to find out the mystery disappearance of HammerCrew. Explore various caverns and find upgrades to your suit. Cutscenes between levels let the story unfold and epic boss fights keep you glued to the action.

I saw some downloads and if you have time any feedback will be appreciated.
To the person who downvotes every game thread I make and goes to googleplay to 1 star my game your a punk because you never reveal yourself.
Any feedback from people who have played Planet Exis can help me figure out what I did right and what I did wrong.
Hi!
Why so many permissions?
Hello, @Mr.HB, thanks for posting it in the Operation Undead thread, that's the only way I can come to know about your amazing work.
The feedback you wished,
The game is kinda reminiscent of the style, but I'm really an arse to say this about someone's hardwork, but the game's a lil monotonous after a while and the green kinda is overwhelming.
Its a lot of fun to play. The game is really enjoyable!
Thank you for your work!
I hope this helps.
And keep up the work man, I've been a following your work for quite sometime :good::good:
PS: I think the reason why you're having less downloads is cuz of the preview video in the 1st post. I guess it'd help if it showed more short previews of other levels.

Its the AD networks that require more permission. The only permissions I need are is media and file, the media to play music and file to save the game on the device.
Cool game, thanks for the PM @Mr.HB.
Will check it out more later today after I've finished editing an awesome SciFi book... lol
Nice gameplay! But a visual part of the game could be better. You can get free resources from opengameart.org, for example.

Thanks for the feedback I been hoping that at least one of my games gets popular, so I can afford an artist. I can get a artist for free if its a casual game that doesn't have as much artwork, but for a game like this artist want to get paid. I hope this catches on so I can have an artist in the future.

I'd like to pitch in some advise,
The game displays just one ad, and that too is dismissable. Rather than that, why not display a fullscreen ad on launch and exit of the game, I know it's not too help full, but the time complexity decreases (if u know what I mean)
In some time, it could help you afford an artist, I believe.

I have to check on this because there supposed be 1 fullscreen AD on launch and 1 banner both of them dissmissable easily. I can't do exit ADs because google doesn't allow it anymore. AD revenue's are low so in order to make any money you have to get around 10,000-50,000 downloads to make pocket change ($20-50 a month).
Plus I don't like to fill the game with ADs I want the game to be enjoyable, I could have the game display video ADs but that would be annoying to users. I can use your help if you rate the game in the store that can help the game move up on charts.

I don't really do that. But sure man, why not.
I guess, you could show one video ad when the game is launched or rather, just one throughout the session the game runs. So no dissmissable ads, just a vid. That might help a lil with the revenues I guess.

Thanks, I will think about the ADs but 1st I am trying to figure a way to get the word out about the game. I been on facebook, twitter, googleplus and forums like this.
Gameplay wise I tried to make it not too easy and not too hard how did the game feel to you? How far were you able to get before you felt it was tough?

Ok I tried to make the gae with fewer enemies but not too tough but in the future I will tone down difficulty. I will make a playthrough series within 24 hours to help . I really want people to get into the storyline and characters. Yes Operation undead had more humor than this one. The next game I am working on wil have humor plus be a bit easier.

Yes, that'd be great. Varied and more colorful levels with a lil more variety would just do the trick.
I don't think a playthrough is necessary. Just a trailer with the various levels
