[Q] Trouble flashing ROM's - AT&T LG G3

My G3 is ruuning the latest software from att. I am running TWRP 2.8.2.0 Bump recovery. I have tried flahsing CM11, CM12, Fusion and others. I cleaned flashed all these and all failed. They all said something like "Cant flash over incompatible data." Also something about updating binaries. If you dont know what the problem is let me know anyways. It helps. Please help me out. I really want CM12. Thanks in advanced.
Update: Used philz touch recovery 6.58.9.1 and worked!

Where did u get philz touch cwm for the att lg g3. I looked and couldn't find it. Googled it and searched threads. No luck finding it anywhere. Thought we only had twrp. Post a link if u can.

TWRP vs Philz CWM

I've been reading through tons of posts trying to figure out which recovery works best for flashing zips and/or installing OTA updates. I'd like to get a thread going so that it's more clear which recovery ROM is recommended and why. I've been using TWRP but find the touch to be spotty at BEST, also I got my phone into a bootloop after installing the 174.44.1 OTA update and it seemed like a lot of ppl that had no issues were using Philz CWM. So anyway, please post opinions!
I have the same query.

Have also been reading a lot about those recoveries.
I started with CWM because I had good experience with it on my Acer S120.
Recently (yesterday to be precisely) I changed to Philz CWM after I had to do a reflash of the whole system.
I decided for Philz because of the buggy touch functions from TWRP I read about.
So far I'm pleased with Philz CWM.
Can you link to where you obtained Philz CWM and which version are you using. I have just installed TWRP v2.6.3.0 and it seems fine (I couldn't find v2.6.3.2 which I think is the latest ver).
i had philz cwrm and when i did "restore default" for resetting settings original from menu settings, didn't work. it is a bug and for me, that want a phone complete working, this is important. most users use wipe from recovery but i want that function!!!
now i have v2.6.3.2 twrp and all is workind, even touch slide that before (until 2.6.3.0) was bugged.
same issue of philz recovery for my ex phone htc desire 500.... is philz that insert something error for restoring and even i asked many forum, noone know solution and many users don't know because don't try (or don't want try)
I use twrp with no issues at all (pretty sure the touch bug was fixed a while ago). But then I've also heard that Phil's cwm is brilliant, so I guess it's just down to personal preference?

Can someone point me to the correct twrp 2.6.3.2 for moto g please. The one I found installed but says its 2.6.3.0 although its working fine.

I read somewhere that it was a typo. Mine says 2.6.3.0 after the install of 2.6.3.2. And yes its running fine, no bugs that I can see.
@slamor. OK, thanks yes its very responsive and seems to be perfect, the date is now correct too. Just that niggling v2.6.3.0 that shows up. I am reluctant to try Philz CWM only because I have several backups that I want to hang onto. Maybe Philz CWM uses the same backup/restore format? But right now it ain't broken, so no need to fix it!

I dont know about that. From past experience I could Never use CWM backups on TWRP and vice versa.
Think about it as ...working.

[Q] Recovery Issue

Hello,
I am running KK on system version 182.46.10.xt926.
My boot-loader is unlocked and I am rooted.
I have xt926-KK-CWM-6048 installed.
When I try to boot into recovery I get a blank, black screen.
I know recovery worked at one time, but do not understand why it stopped.
I was wondering if I should re-flash xt926-KK-CWM-6048 or flash CWM6049-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.
Would this actually take care of my problem? Would there be anything else I would have to do?
Thanks for any input.

Try flashing the newer 6.0.4.9 CWM. I also had that black screen problem occasionally with 6.0.4.8 and I think other people did as well. FYI, I was able to get to recovery eventually if I kept rebooting. Sometimes it works on the first try, sometimes it doesn't.
But I flashed the TWRP 2.7.1.0 image that dhacker posted last night and I haven't gotten any black screens yet, even after booting into recovery several times just to test it.
Thanks for the quick reply. Question for you.
If I flash TWRP 2.7.1.0, does that overwrite CWM or will I have two recovery options?
It will overwrite CWM. Stick with whichever recovery you're most comfortable with. I prefer TWRP but some people like CWM more.
And my last question....
Where do I get TWRP 2.7.1.0? Can you send me a link?
And thanks for all the great information. Appreciate the help.

[Q] XT926 CWM Issue?

I'm rooted and was running stock 4.4.2 with an unlocked bootloader. I flashed CWM 6.0.4.4 touch recovery and I can't even boot into recovery. It bootloops. Any ideas?
edit #1
Actually it just booted into fastboot and it gave the reason "Flash Failure" huh?
edit #2
Seem's the best bet is to steer away from CWM and use TWRP, Booted to fastboot, flashed twrp and than cyanogenmod and boom. I'm where I wanted to be. I'll try to help figure out what's up with CWM though if that would help anyone else that had this issue....
there is nothing wrong with cwm. you used a version not compatible with your system version.

This. 6.0.4.4 is not compatible with the KK OTA. If you want to use CWM you need to use the 6.0.4.9 one dhacker posted last week.
I'm new to rooting/unlocking. I used towelroot and Moto-pocalypse on an XT926 running KK. I know that I need to use CWM to backup my phone, but all the tutorials I found online seem outdated. I was wondering if someone could link me to a more recent tutorial or explain to me what I need to do. I would really appreciate it.

[Q] Help with 'status 7' errors on several roms. Currently running CM 10.2.0 stable

So far I've tried installing the latest CyanogenMod 11, CarbonRom, and Paranoid Android with the same errors after each factory reset/dalvik wipes. Finally had to go back to CM 10.2.0 stable. Help!
Tried all the getprop/batch script edits, even tough they all list SGH-I727 compatible. I don't know what else to do.
Installing through CWMR Touch v5.5.0.4, with the .zips on the phone. Don't know anything about ODIN, sadly.

I am running on T-Mobile, however, as I have switched carriers. Would this be an issue? I'm not so sure, since I am running 10.2 with minor issues.
Please & Thanks for your suggestions!
no ones really going to help you unless you do some reading first, maybe you did but i dont think so since ur still on cwm v5.5.0.4 and you dont know anything about odin, odin is ur friend.
start here, its the sticky just above your post
Alright, I'll investigate ODIN. I think I did use it to flash the CWM I have now, but I'll try and flash current to CWM 6.41.

You could flash the latest CWM from the current CWM you have. Try Philz CWM found here:

Great! Used your sticky to flash the new CWM through ODIN, currently installing the new Paranoid Android ROM.
You are awesome, vincom. Thanks for all your hard work/contributions!!

That's exactly what I did! Thank you--going through my initial boot with PA. WOW, it's been awhile.

I need a rom for GT-I9300T

Hey Guys i downloaded a I9300 CM13 ROM for my I9300T, i tried to flash it via TWRP, but i got status error 7, which is i think because the ROM isn't compatible with my phone.. maybe it is? I dunno, if it isn't then what ROM do i download, i would highly appreciate some help here, i have a I9300 as well and that was flashed in such a easy stress free manner, but this I9300T just wont do it, can anyone point me in the correct direction? Thanks!
Sorry the error was " Updater process ended with ERROR: 7 " it wouldnt let me flash CM13, so all i done was just done a factory reset from TWRP Recovery and attempted to flash again, it worked, so problem solved.
Seems the I9300 CM13 Rom worked with the GT-I9300T, no problems so far.
