Since yesterday, when the phone battery reaches 15%, the phone shutsdown. When I plug the phone in the charger, the "Battery Low" Message is displayed in Chinese but the phone does not start immediately. After remaining on charger for 5 mins or so, I can start the phone. When the phone is started, I see around 16-18% battery.
I have noticed today that its taking too long to charge and the battery dropped from 15% to 5% in 2-3 minutes.
Miscalibrated battery perhaps?

How to calibrate OPO battery to fix this issue ?
Root your phone and use the app BatteryCalibration.

Seems I fixed mine. I had put an extended battery on this guy, and it would never change in battery level. I would have to reboot the phone to get it to register the new power level.
Discharge your phone to 0% until it shuts off. Try to turn the phone on several times to make sure its discharged (should shut off immediately). Charge the phone to 100% without unplugging it (will take a while, do it over night).
Today my % seems to be registering and no need to reboot the phone to change it. HTC tech support claimed they had nothing to do with the battery manufacturing so they wont help you.
if you reboot your phone how accurate is it to the actual battery meter showing you the percentage? I am at 6 percent left on my phone in hopes of discharging it and than charging it full to get mine to work

It will still probably jump down about 10% but it will sit there for a LONG time until the system is actually to that percent. My recommendation is dont reboot the phone if you want to keep accurate %. The rebooted value I dont believe indicates actual battery life remaining. There is a communication problem between the phone and the battery - HTC confirmed this is going to be patched (on the phone with them last night).
Does anyone else have the same problem? It turns off after reaching 30% and wen i try to turn it on, a symbol of a battery with red color in it blinks and shuts down again.. i have to charge it to use the tablet again. I'm on revolver rom 3.11.1.. and changing kernels wud not help..
pls help with any solutions...
Sounds like your battery isn't calibrated. How long (hours/days) does it take you to get from 100% down to the point of shut off? I've noticed mine will "forget" calibration if it's discharging for more than a few days. I.e. if I take it off the charger on Monday morning, by Saturday night it will be around 20%, and will turn itself off around 15%. Now, if I were to use it non stop, playing games or whatever, for the life of the battery, it will actually shut off around 2%.
TL;DR... Try this - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration

it takes a long time to get from 100% to 99%, but after tat the battery drain in normal(i.e, time taken for 1% batt to be used is normal)... and while charging too, the charging will be stuck @ 99%.. i tried wiping battery stats in recovery, isnt tat the same as battery calib?
My phone battery remains in charge until the morning and closes at 1% seems to be. I fill with an external charger is 100% plug in but the phone is going on and off 1%. I tried another battery still the same result.
Hello, how are you?
I have an issue with my OPO.
It is currently running 44S.
The issue is:
I charge it fully with the original wall charger.
Unplug and then star using the phone.
The battery remains on 100% for longer than usual.
Then it starts coming down.
When the battery gets around to 30%, the phone switches off.
I plug it and there is the message that the battery is too low and that I should charge it a bit before turning the phone on.
This then repeats itself after I charge.
My observation is that the battery remaining info is not correctly calibrated and that 30% should actually be 0%.
The battery life is normal. It just doesn't give me the correct info on battery remaining.
Anyone else have this issue?
Ideas on how to fix it?
Cheers!

how many charge cycles you been through? let it fully drain and then charge too 100% without stopping a few time. also, there are a few battery drain/calibrator apps to help you in the play store
Hello,
I bought a second hand S6, and after some while I noticed a battery issue.
While discharging, everyting is normal until about 11-12%, when it drops to 5% and then continues like normal, 4-3-2-1-shutdown.
If I put the charger even for a second in any percentage below 5% it jumps to 8-9% , and then contunues the discharge from there without missing capacity.
If again I continue to charge without disconnecting, if goes lets say from 1% to 8% instantly and then continues charging like normal.
Is this normal for an old phone? Or can I fix it somehow?
I had never noticed anything like that in any of my android phones before, ever 3 years old.
I have already deleted battery stats, and performed 2-3 times full charge/discharge cycles, without results
The ROM is original 6.0.1 rooted.
Hello,
Tried at 100% and stayed at 100%
Should I try at 10% or 1% ?

It happens for me too. It's just Samsung's failure. Sometimes my battery jumps %1 to %17 when i plug the charger.
To be honest, you can't do anything about it.
I did the proceadure at 14% it dropped to 0% after some seconds and then shut down.
I charged it OFF but when it reached 95% went to 100% in seconds.
When I unplug at 100% and wait 5 minutes (always OFF) at next connection to charger showed 95%.
So it took me 1 hour of intermitted charges to reach 100% and stay there.
We'll see what happens next. I'll keep you updated.
