Hello, how are you?
I have an issue with my OPO.
It is currently running 44S.
The issue is:
I charge it fully with the original wall charger.
Unplug and then star using the phone.
The battery remains on 100% for longer than usual.
Then it starts coming down.
When the battery gets around to 30%, the phone switches off.
I plug it and there is the message that the battery is too low and that I should charge it a bit before turning the phone on.
This then repeats itself after I charge.
My observation is that the battery remaining info is not correctly calibrated and that 30% should actually be 0%.
The battery life is normal. It just doesn't give me the correct info on battery remaining.
Anyone else have this issue?
Ideas on how to fix it?
Cheers!

how many charge cycles you been through? let it fully drain and then charge too 100% without stopping a few time. also, there are a few battery drain/calibrator apps to help you in the play store

Is this normal. I did try and do a search in my defence.
Yes. It is like that by design. It stops charging at around 95-98%. Its to prevent you from overcharging the battery.

This is a known issue. You can try and reset battery stats in cwm when your battery is charged and/or emptied. It works for some and not for others. I haven't noticed my battery lasting any less when my battery doesn't "charge" past 97%
There have been some discussion on this. I get about 97% myself. From what I've read you may get full charge if you let it drain all the way. I don't do that myself. Very happy with battery life as is.
I used to get 100% before I switched to the Vegan rom.

Either let it drain until it shuts off a few times and then charge it all the way up or if that doesn't work, use CWM to delete the battery stats when it's at 95% (full, with a GREEN light - not charging, with a red light) and then let it drain until it shuts off on it's own.
I did this a long time ago (delete the stats) and it's been perfect since. Charges to 100% and does indeed show battery at almost empty before it shuts off.
Good Luck.
Still no go here but it can get tom 96%... lol
I am sitting a 98% with VEGAn.
I am now having an issue where u can use the device, then I turn it off, and
turn it on the next morning and see about 5 to 10% of my battery was drained.
Confirmed Fix
Confirmed fix for me on Vegan 5.1. Letting battery drain down to zero and shutoff the tablet... reached 100% on next charge. Now the indicator charges to 100% every time.
tried this and still no luck . still get to 95-6% bugger
Vegan here..this is how I fixed it:
1) Drain it till it shuts off, try restarting it a few time to make sure its dead.
2) Once dead, plug it in, boot into clockworkx, and reset battery status (do this quickly)
3) restart, and leave plugged in idling till fully charged
4) use and enjoy a accurate battery level!!

You have to remember that in order to install some apps out there, you have to give them permission to use the internet and to interact with your device autonomously. I have found a few apps that were pulling my tablet out of sleep mode and turning on the wireless to download ads or other updates, and that (along with the length of time to shut back down) was affecting my battery life.
I would say to go back and review what you've installed, and to also check your screen timeout settings. Just doing that saved me quite a bit of overnight battery loss.

Recently when I have my phone plugged into the computer charging it will say its fully charge in a matter of minutes no matter how dead the battery is. After I unplug the phone it shows its true battery level, I have noticed that it still charges the battery if I just leave it plugged in, I just find it really odd that the system is reporting a fully charged battery. Anyone else experiencing this type of problem or maybe know of a fix?

Did you flash a ROM recently with your battery not fully charged? If you have then your battery stats are out of wack. When it says it is fully charged, just unplug it and re-plug it in. Continue to do this. Also make sure to run your battery down till it shuts off. This process will take you some time, but until we can wipe battery stats with CWM this is the only fix I know about.

you could flash your phone back to stock and see if it changes? or if you have a vibrant or an extra battery try using it and see if it says the same percentage or level
Does your phone require a bump charge to actually get the battery to 100%?
Unfortunately mine does. I had an incredible and am familiar with this process. Unfortunately my Charge told me that I was at 100% when it was really closer to about 60%. I know I was at ~60% b/c I turned the phone off and plugged it in and the batter icon showed about that percentage full.
Not too happy about this. It would suck if I have to have the phone off to get almost half my battery full.
Any fixes? Is it possible its just a fluke since this is one of my first couple initial charges?
Thanks in advance.
I havent had any problems like this. It could be that you got a bad battery...

The android battery meter isn't a pure percentage meter, it also uses statistical history and current useage to guage how much you have left. So if you turn the screen on and pull down the notification area the screen and cpu just went to full use from nill, and the battery is probably a little hot, so with little statistics yet the battery thinks its being drained super fast.
Unplug it when it tells you to and don't plug it in till it asks to be plugged in, this will get you the most accurate battery readings. Otherwise don't worry about it unless its telling you to unplug it and then giving you the low battery dance before you get to your first destination of the day or something terribly bad.
I just got a battery from etradesupply and now im having some issues with charging and fast drain. The battery will charge like normal up to 100% but if i power the phone off it will start charging for another 15 mins before full. After it's full and i power up it will show 85-90%. Ive done this cycle about 5 times. The battery also drains the first 10% in about 10mins after i unplug it then it will slow down. Just strange that even with these problems the battery life is about the same if not a bit better than the old battery. Im rooted running 5.0.1. I might try a fresh factory install when i have time. Anyone have suggestions before i try that?
bump...any ideas?

I'd say try to wipe everything on your device and flash the stock factory image first and see how it goes to rule out a software issue. If it still does not help then should be the battery.

When the battery first reaches 100% it's actually not done charging yet, it takes about 30mins afterwards before the juice stops flowing. If you unplug during that time it is normal for the battery to drop to show you the true charge level. Could that be what's happening here?
Try keeping it plugged in over night and then the next day it shouldn't drop by more then 1 or 2% (trickle charge kicks in around there).
Rapid battery drain from usb_notify and dwc3-otg? Also no "charging" dialog...
Hi guys, I seem to have a weird problem and haven't been able to fix it at all. My battery over the past few days has been draining pretty rapidly when not in use (6-7% per hour). I checked BetterBatteryStats and it shows that usb_notify and dwc3-otg are keeping the phone awake at all times - it literally does not go into deep sleep.
I have no idea how to fix this! Nobody online seems to have issues with these wakelocks. When plugging in my phone to charge, I also don't get a "Fast Charging" or "Cable Charging" notification for some reason. I have to restart the phone to see the updated correct battery percentage - otherwise it just stays stuck at the same number it was when plugged in to charge.
No idea what's going on here, anyone have any suggestions? I've tried reflashing roms, flashing a different rom, and plain factory resetting.
I have a Samsung Note 5 on t-mobile and I am experiencing a very similar issue. My phone has the same two wakelocks, similar battery drain of 6-9% per hour while not using. The only peculiar thing about my situation is that I still get my charger to charge my phone but it does not fast charge and the cable charge has been taking a grueling 5 hours to fully charge the battery. Another thing, although not consistently, the phone will prompt me with usb options as if the phone is plugged into a computer. When I first got the phone it was fast charging the thing from 10% to full in a little over an hour. We're you ever able to figure this out?
