Hi!
I'm in stock firmware 4.4.2 (Yes, i installed this week 'cause is better for me), i made root my device and then i installed TWRP 2.8.1.0.
I use a flash package with new bootlogo and after this, 3 issues appear in twrp.
Today i flash again stock thinking that maybe this could fix this problems but, after make root and install again TWRP, this issues are there.
I tryied to install CM11 but the rom stills in boot animation.
These are the issues that TWRP show:
E: Unable to stat '/data/misc/location/mq/location-mq-s'
E: Unable to stat '/data/property/persist.atvc.log'
E: Unable to stat '/data/property/persist.atvc.netmon_ih'

Works fine with 4.4.2 stock and 4.4.4, but doesn't work with CM or another ROM flashed T.T
How can i fix it, and why i couldn't install CM11 or CM12?
Edit: I tryied to do a backup and other issue appears:

And then, failed to do the backup :worry:
I flash another stock (GPE 4.4.4) and only could see the boot logo (Google logo and padlock)

I fixed it (or i believe that xD)
Just i installed a stock rom (GPE, when it doesn't boot) and i made DATA & CACHE wipes in stock recovery... then i installed Retail US only to check if there isn't a problem...
I installed TWRP and CM11 with his respective Gapps and... Works!!!!!!
Jejeje i was trying a lot of things and this works.
If a Mod wants to close this thread it's fine for me

I tried the ALPHA version of CM12 but after going back to 4.4 everytime I flash custom rom (tried at least 3 different) in CWM I recieve this error (please see the screenshot).
Tried to flash a custom with TWPR but I get the same error.
The ROM is successfuly flashed but most of apps doesn't work "Unfortunately, Viber/Maps/etc has stopped"
I think I have partition problem but I've never touched the partitions. Maybe because CM12 use only ART something happened?
When I flash stock rom with Odin everything works perfectly. Flashing a custom after the stock - same problem.
Can someone help me resolve this? Thanks!

Use TWRP from Luk1337 2.8.1 there's no problem with your partitions its cwm/twrp (some ve versions) bug heads to here

I used cooldevlepoment's CMW. It works for me, but i used restore instead of installing a fresh rom. But after restoring my Kitkat Backup, i can flash other roms.
Today i updated my recovery from twrp 2.6.3 to twrp 2.8 in order to install cm12 RC4..Rom failed to install so i tried to restore the backup i made..it failed too recover as well..i decided to freshly install cm10.2 as i was using it before all this.after all the wiping .the rom installed without any problem but when i rebooted the phone to system its stuck on htc screen..i have tried installing other roms include stock rom but similar result upon booting..RUU is not available for my radio 1.12.82.08...i dont know what to do now please help asap as i dont have any other cellphone

Please change the recovery to flash other roms, the recovery provided in cm12 OP cannot flash other roms... In order to flash other rom please flash other recovery...

use TWRP 2.7.0.0 FOR cm10.2(i'm using it).for CM11 RC3 and CM11RC4 use modified recovery given in respective post.
don't restore backup of one recovery with other
flash superwipe before flashing any ROM.

So I wanted to revert back to KitKat to make a proper flash since the beginning, wich was ofc a bad idea. So I flashed the 4.4.4 stock ROM and now am in soft brick. I'm stuck at boot logo (The boot loader unlocked one). I tried to flash a stock 5.1 ROM (GPE_5.1_XT1032_LMY47M.M001_CFC.xml.zip) without any success.
My bootloader is updated to 4118, I can boot in recovery/bootloader.

Well if you can boot into the recovery and if its custom (TWRP) wipe all the data on your phone. Second I would try to flash a ROM onto your device such as Resurrection Remix and see if that works. Update on your progress.

I tried to flash a ROM through twrp but I think I can't because of that partition mess. I can't adb push to /sdcard, or sideload (seems to require /data).
I think that my issue is that I flashed the 4.4.4 gpt.bin, and I shouldn't have. If I'm right, is there any way to recover from this?

I crashed my S3 using camera on old cm12.1 and got into loop with services stopped. Try and D/L the new 4 22 and Slim ggaps 20150422 wipe chache and devik and reinstall cm and ggaps get it working this is what I did but I haven't read any info except to find a file for Odin but don't think you can use Odin. It be nice to have stable way to downgrade. The flash will hopefully get your phone working.

Thank you. But I can't flash a cm12.1 atm (see my post below). I can only flash through fastboot. I'm not sure I properly understood you, what do you call 4 22 ?
FYI I managed to boot again. Here's what I did:
Flash a 5.x ROM, try to boot to let the system make partitions and stuff (I think)
Boot in TWRP and saw that system and cache were not mountable, so I wiped them.
Flash a cm12.1 (+ Gapps) and here we go!

Trouble Flashing Galaxy S3 I9305 back to Custom Rom

im wondering if i can get some help. A friend of mine put Pac Rom on my phone in May 2015 and me being stupid, i decided to put it back to stock a few weeks ago using samsung kies. little did i realise what im actually missing out on. so i have tried to flash back to Pac Rom and Carbon Rom and nothing is working. i can flash GAPPS but when i try to reboot, it only comes up as the S3 Stock boot. i cant access anything. i have wiped system, have wiped Dalvik Cache and Cache. i still have TWRP installed to use but nothing seems to work except GAPPS
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME?!?!:crying:
PS until someone can help i will use kies stock rom (LTE Telstra 4G Australia) I9305

Into TWRP, open the Wipe menu and select Data + System + Cache + Dalvik. Then flash the custom rom (zip file of PAC ROM).

It seems you don't have a custom recovery, do you?

Hi,
I recently wanted to install a stock rom but for that I have to factory reset my device but I get "E: failed to mount/data" for anything I want to do.
Therefore I can't do backups, change /data file system, wipe data or flash anything.
It seems like my /data partition is corrupted but I can still access the current OS (lineage 13) and use it.
I'm using TWRP 3.1.0-0.
Any help ?
I dont think I can flash any ROM by now but I'll give it a try. I will give a feedback soon.
EDIT : I have to flash it with TWRP or use dload method?
I've already tried to flash a stock recovery but it didn't ask me to flash via the sdcard... Maybe I'm using the wrong stock recovery (BLN-L21_B130 from a xda thread) ?
I'm going to try with TWRP nethertheless.
I successfully flashed a stock Marshmallow ROM with TWRP but right after booting I cant accept terms of service..
I wiped cache, did a factory reset and got through this step. I think everything is fine now ! Thanks a lot

I tried to update the firmware to EMUI 5.0 using Firmware Finder but it seems like I can only download the .zip (there is no "Send to Firmware Updater" button).
Do you have any clue on how I should proceed to get to Nougat ?
