Hey there, if this is of any interest to you guys, I've found a pretty nice deal online for the HOX. Note that the $499 deal is through the Canadian website. These are unlocked, quadcore, NON-LTE versions of the phone if LTE isn't an issue for you.

Just to let everyeone know this is the International Non-LTE Version. Since that one is the Tegra 3 version aka the One X not the One XL (ATT)

Just saw this in my research. I believe I will have a chance to try the S3 soon using CDMA Workshop. If anyone has any suggestions or experience with Samsung phones in CDMA WS, let me know! Only done Motorola and HTC up to this point, although I have heard of success for nearly all VZW LTE devices.

OK I'm on att with my droid mini and I really want LTE on my phone! Is there anyway we can put moto x bands on the mini to get LTE service?

I asked the same question a month or two ago. I think the answer is no, unfortunately. Wish they had released an AT&T version of the mini!

Unfortunately the name "Droid" is a trademark of Lucas Films and Verizon (not Motorola) has purchased the right to use the Droid name. So you you will never see a phone named "Droid" anything on any carrier except Verizon. IMO that's why even though the Moto X fits right in the line with the Mini, Ultra, and Maxx, it didn't get the Droid name allowing it to be used on other carriers.

Right but lots of times Motorola will release something similar on other carriers. Like the Atrix. Doesn't necessarily need to be called "droid mini" or look identical but I wish there was an att equivalent!

You can try the radios for at&t moto x on your mini. Those radios should be fine with your mini. If not just flash the old radios back

Amazingly, they do flash. I just flashed NON-HLOS.bin, then ran "erase modemst1" and "erase modemst2" and then flashed fsg.mbn. My radio now shows as the same radio on my AT&T Moto X. I then added the "phone" APN.
Very disappointed to report that I'm still not getting LTE on the mini on AT&T.
Too bad. Worth a try. Would have been awesome if it had worked, but I guess it just doesn't have the correct bands, even with the AT&T radio flashed. If anybody else has any ideas, would love to hear them.
You will get LTE in areas that have band 4 active. I have it some places and others not.
The at&t bands are different then Verizon. And as the mini/ultra/maxx was made exclusive for Verizon....... You may never have luck. Sorry about that. If I had better news for you I would let u know. Even with a locked boot loader, you can still flash a lot of things

I went out and got a prepaid TMobile sim for my maxx today to try out their service. As I typed this, its being posted over Tmobile LTE which is suprisingly faster by 8Mb/s than VZW LTE
Maxx'd out Kit Kat

Is band 4 available out there. If so then that is why it works. There is a will work won't work issue. It all depends.

I assume band 4 is available. Was really surprised by it

In metro areas you have a better chance of picking up band 4 on att. Most areas are not band 4. T-Mobile is (for the moment) exclusively band 4.

I work for a wireless company and I saw posted as coming a Motorola XT 1225 64gb. I wonder if this could be a gsm version of the droid turbo for verizon. Anyone knows?

Yeah that's definitely an international (or possibly just BR) version of the DROID Turbo!
Well, I am almost certain that this is an international version of Droid Turbo:
1 - Recently Anatel (the equivalent of the FCC here in Brazil) approved a smartphone with model number XT1225
2- Some Brazilian websites are stating that they were invited to an event on November 5th. If you look at the attached picture you'll see the back of a device which looks like the Droid Turbo.
3- The same website I took this picture from is stating that the smartphone will probably be called Moto Maxx because we once had a Razr Maxx which was just a rebranded version of the Droid Maxx from Verizon.
4- Knowing the market here in Brazil, I will be EXTREMELY surprised if I see the exact model you showed being sold here because it has 64gb of storage. For us, the only device that has this option right now, is the iPhone.
BTW, you just made my day! I was really hoping the Droid Turbo would come to Brazil and practically confirmed it! Thumbs up for that!

Do you know if http://www.indianmailbox.com/ is a legitimate post forwarding service? The indian Turbo seems to have lollipop installed unlike the brazilian one.
Hi Guys,
It has been a while since I used an android and the usual problem with carrier phone is they lock some bands (dont know why they do this) and undeletable bloatware.
Saw some ads in eBay that are selling refurb pixel phones and the price is not that bad.
I just want to ask will there be some issues of using verizon pixel in Canada or is it possible to change the firmware of the phone to make it global so it can unlock the bands,
Thanks for those who will reply
Today or tomorrow you can find out!
New firmware will be floating around. Try to take the update to your device. See what update it tries to push.
Hopefully it does a good thing for you..
