I'ev been trying to find a case for my Z but I only find Z1 cases.
I know that the Z1 is a little bit larger than the Z.
But would the Z1 case fit on the z?

I don't think so. As you've said previously, it's a little bit bigger than our loving Z. That's mean, the phone won't fit correctly as it should to. Therefore between the corners, screen, back may be spaces left, and due to your phone will be like in some shaker, mixer or sth, I guess.
And there's a lot of cases for Z. You can surf the whole net and e-shops, in that list including : eBay, aliexpress, amazon, dx.com, tinydeal and many others.

Nope & they have different their camera position are different.
Search for "xperia z -z1" to exclude Z1 results. I usually end up going -z1 -z2 -z3 -ultra -tablet
On sites such as eBay you can also search for L36i or L36h, the Z's model number.

Had a look at the cable as I was interested myself and the spacing between the pins is much larger and the phone has a matching metal plate or magnet on it for the cable to stick to. I just placed a magnet over the connections on my XZ and there is no reaction, nothing to stick to. Also have an X Acro S and it is the same, no reaction.
Was hoping I could be able to make a magnetic cable, for in-car use, which could be used for both devices

It will not work because it doesnt fit..
Although theres some uncompletely-revealed tutorials for how to build a DIY magnetic stuff that might "Convert" the size of the z1's magnetic charger to work with us..
I can't link or describe more because I too am searching for that.. never found exactly..
I was on an Xperia L fan page on FB & noticed a post mentioning that the Xperia L had a special type of glass. I did some research & checked the white paper & discovered that the L has "Schott 2nd source" glass which turns out to be darn good stuff. Schott is a German company which provides various products/services including toughened glass overlay. It is often competing with Corning to provide better product e.g. the toughened glass. Things like this just make me love my Xperia L even more .
Just thought it would be informative to share this because from my xperience (get it? ) Sony (Ericsson) often only mention scratch-resistant glass in many Xperia white papers.
Yea sony always provide good hardware for reasonable prices regarding other manufactorers but u got to admit that sony is kinda unfair when it comes to software..like firmwares updates..

If Sony's unfair...how's samsung?lg?
And about glass quality...yes,it might be resistant, but it's not as responsive and sensitive as other phones like galaxy express for example.
And you can't say that you can use XL w/o a screen protector in order to get better response from touch because of tough screen, because little scratches will always appear...
i dont have 2-3 weeks any screen protector, 0 scratches i had it less than weekend cuz it simply started to look ugly. i have second one but simply i dont know how to put it in, and mt yeah works better withought it it may be me that im "different"
the glass in xperia l is amazing.i did some test by trying to scratch it with srewdriver, scissor, blade, stones, etc bt no scratch bt the problem is that it will b very hard to use xl in sunlight as it reflects a lot of light.cant c a thing when playing games in sunlight without screen protector
Hi,
Has anyone seen any actual videos of Xperia Z3 Drop or stress test? For the sake of science, it must know if the z3 is better or the same as z2 as well as how it'll hold up . I've been seeing to many of the fake drop tests on youtube so just wondering if anyone came across anything.
How do you know that they're fake?
I have not seen any drop tests yet, might be a few weeks before we see some.
As I see: Z3 has much stronger bezel than Z2 but the glasses easy to crack when drop!

I have heard similar reports, that's why I was very careful with mine.
is it possible to makre scr26 working with z1 compact? I bought it buf after nnfc parrying I can see only new tag found
is's all about coverapp.apk and coverwidget.apk, from z3, any ideas?
Have you been able to get the cover display working? How does the Z1C fit into the cover? I was wondering if I dare to order one as the Z1C is ~10% thicker.
My Z3 has a really visble touchscreen grid. I don't live in the Sahara and this little spring sun makes it light up and sparkle like it wanted to remind me it's there.
They said Z2 was affected and Z3 was problem free, probably Z2 had a grill more than a grid.
Tell me I'm the only one and Sony will be happy to swap my unit for a new one.
Please tell me
ps a part from that (and other problems my screen has) I'm absolutely in love with this phone and it has been only a dozen hours.
The Grid is on every Z3 I've seen so far. One mate has an protection cover and its the only way to make it "barely" visible.
I let my phone repair under warranty because of this dots but the new touchscreen is only slighly better. The dots and grid is still visible in sunlight.
The iPhone and Samsung I owned before didn't have this "grid". It annoys me a bit and for sure I will never buy an phone again which shows these.
Z...Z1...Z2 and now Z3 - all devices had or have those dots..
That's digitaliser Sony is using...
If I can remember well, I think my old Xperia S had same digitaliser as well...
That's right, I also saw this only on Sony devices but I really don't care a bit for that....
It's not problem, it's not hardware failure - Sony built it that way...
