[Completed] Xolo Q800, unable to unbrick! - XDA Assist

I do not exactly know how a phone looks like when its 'Bricked' but I believe there is something very wrong with my Xolo Q800.
Just a week back, a couple of applications stopped working. I restarted and since then its been restarting if I open any application. The OS has freezed itself into the state it was at 2pm on Tuesday 9th December. All I can do is receive calls and sometimes even dial them. Once I restart it says one by one all the Google background processes stop working. At times while receiving calls, the dailer UI goes away, and then it restarts and freezes to Boot Animation, so I have to remove the battery and then start again.
I tried wiping it completely from TWRP recovery that is already installed. Didnt work. Tried formatting by going into the settings inside the OS - MIUI, that is installed. It will restart but would come back to same state as it was at 2pm Tuesday 9th.
I tried using the following links, followed the exact process to unbrick and install the real OS, still it would come back to the same state as it was on 2pm Tuesday 9th.
Not to mention I did use 'Run as Administrator' while using SP Tools.

and a couple of more links, which I cant find now.
I'm really desperate now to make it work.
Really in need of help.

Hi,
You can try flashing any rom again from twrp, or the stock firmware. If it's always the same, it could be a hardware issue. I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and issue, so for further help, you will need to ask here,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

Thanks for your reply.
I have tried multiple custom roms to flash, but nothing helped, nothing changed. I even tried installing CWM recovery http://xoloq800roms.blogspot.in/2013/10/unrooting-and-flashing-stock-rom-and.html
Nothing helped, nothing changed. Its still on that same state and would restart if I would try use applications.

Perhaps if you ask in the section I linked, someone will have an idea.
But again, could be hardware... Especially since a full wipe of the system doesn't correct it.

[Q] Pantech Sky A800 Root and CWM help needed!

Hi all,
Firstly i hv learned a lot from xda developers and been coming to these forums for over a year now, but this is my first time posting here so apologies if my question is in the wrong section, guide me to the right forum and i will move to it.
I recently bought a used Pantech Sky Vega A800s, very nice device for its cheap price imo
but i have been having some problems with my phone.
the first is that battery drains very fast, but i figured it could just be a degraded battery so i chose to ignore it for now.
i was aware of korean phones sms limit problem (80 character limit) so after buying my phone i started searching for its soloution and came across various guides including installing 3rd party sms apps and rooting the phone to replace original sms app.
3rd party apps didnt work for me so i chose to go with rooting method.
now the real problem began,
i followed tons of guides and used many tools to root my phone but none of them worked for me, the process would finish but phone will always restart with normal unrooted os.
finally i was able to root my phone using a desktop pc app called VROOT.
now i tried to install CWM on this phone but after trying several methods and using many tools still i am unable to do it.
so far i have tried,
> using automated CWM batch scripts (from official Sky A800s forums/XDA threads)
> manually using FASTBOOT FLASH RECOVERY RECOVERY.IMG in fastboot mode
> trying FASTBOOT OEM UNLOCK and repeating above steps
here is what happens every time, (doesnt matter which of the above methods i use)
Phone reboots to fastboot if not already in fastboot
cmd window shows successful writing of recovery image
cmd window shows reebooting to recovery mode
now the phone reboots, screen turns black-ish for a few seconds, then it reboots again the logo shows up a couple of times and then it continues on with normal boot process into the stock os.
i have been digging around the internet for a soloution and so far i have found no soloution.
according to my understanding, all the tools and scripts i found on the internet were either for stock rom 2.3 or 4.0.4
while my phone is updated to stock 4.1.2 via official update, so maybe this is the reason i was unable to root my phone the regular way in the first place and i had to resort to using VROOT.
now maybe 4.1.2 is the reason i cant install/boot into CWM.
i really need recovery on this phone bcz i want to flash the MIUI V5 rom for sky a800s
also there is another major problem i which i think might get solved by installing a custom rom,
problem is that my phone sometimes will work fine for hours with normal texting and calls, but randomly sometimes it will crash upon recieving a sms with this mesage "YOUR PHONE WILL RESTART DUE TO AN ERROR WHILE RUNNING APPLICATION. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE BATTERY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR PHONE"
then phone restarts but immediately upon entering the OS it crashes again with same message. this continues untill i remove the SIM CARD from phone, leave it out for an hour or more (meanwhile the phone runs fine without sim), after sometime i can put the sim back in and it works fine now.
i have observe this happens randomly upon receiving a text message.
another thread on xda developer said to wipe data and wipe cache (reset ro factory) will solve this but it didnt work for me
thank you for being patient enough to read through my post
i just wanted to include all about my problem and all i have tried to solve it so far so you people can help me better with my problem.
any help with getting CWM working or solving the SMS CRASH problem is needed.
anyone!
bump!
so nobody will reply and i cant post my prob to official pantech sky thread bcz i hv less than 10 posts
I guess i will just have to make 10 posts to be able to get help from the official pantech sky thread then,
6 more posts to go
Hi there
5 more to go
6th post now

off to official pantech thread now

[Completed] [Q] I think im soft bricked? HTC Inspire 4g/DHD

I bought a used HTC Inspire 4g/DHD and it had already been flashed with "Jellytime." Thats all I really know. I know the basics of flashing and such. But here is the problem. Everything seemed in order, so i gave the phone to a friend to use, and then it started having a ton of issues. Video would go all wonky in landscape mode, phone would lock up, become unresponsive etc. So i attempted a factory restore via the boot menu and clockworkmod. Everything seemed to be going all good, then suddenly it gave me 2 errors saying it could not find and could not mount recovery files.
I thought, okay, weird, and let the phone finish doing what it is doing and restarted. It took probably 5-6 minutes after the restart and i finally got to the first screen to setup android (select language) and got a slew of pop up error messages saying XXX app has crashed or is not responding or that files were missing. and would not let me progress past that first screen. Now the phone will not even boot past the "jellytime" logo. (HTC logo flashes first, then jellytime animation and just stays there).
So i am at a loss as to what to do next because i cant get into android to enable USB debugging to use whatever process to reflash a suitable ROM. My friend really needs a phone back so a prompt response would be appreciated.

Maybe you have to re-flash the whole ROM. Startig freshly (with a factory reset / wipe data) is recommended.
And don't give the device to this friend again
If you have further questions, please ask in the Inspire 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Good luck !

I posted over in the other forum. But my issue is that I cannot do the factory restore and data wipe. It will not complete. It give me a missing recovery file error. And it can't mount the missing recovery files. It is why I am so stuck.

As I can see, you have already posted your question in the Q&A forum ([Q] soft bricked or screwed?).
So now you have to be patient and wait for someone to answer there.
Thanks for your understanding. Thread closed.

[Completed] Moto G 2nd Gen Marshmellow update.

I rooted my device using king root, in that state i got the notification for an official update. I went to settings, about phone, and updated. after it rebooted, it started installing the update. halfway through the the status bar was a little less half full, it stopped and booted normally. It said the the update installation was unsuccessful. I remembered that i had the stupid kingroot, so i uninstalled it, it rebooted, everything so far so good. i went just to double check the OS version currently installed, still on 5.0.2 Lollipop. This time i went ahead and started installing the update. I noticed that this time it looked fine because the status bar didn't stop halfway through like last time. It kept going until it was more than half full. So I was like "ok, lets just leave it for now to do its job and ill look at it later" Later, I looked and it had a black screen with the android model with an exclamation mark. It said: "No Command" I decided not to **** with it, so i jut left it. I went to Motorola's website, and chatted with one of their technicians. She told me to factory reset it. She gave me instructions on how to do that, Which those instructions did not work. I went on YouTube and figured out a way on how to get into recovery mode and factory reset it, and that was what i did of course. Now all it does is boot, show me android model, power off. Then it keeps doing the same thing over and over until the battery dies, or i force to shut down from recovery mode. BTW i still can access recovery mode, and everything is useless and leads to boot-loop thing i just mentioned. Please help i feel like i really ****ed it up.

Hello,
I'd recommend you to restore your device back to stock firmware Restore to Stock][XT1068][All Dual Sim Model][4.4.4] with fastboot.
Also, I would advice you not to flash bootloader again. (Since if yours is updated with marshmallow one, flashing the older one (downgrading) might end in a brick).

[Completed] Rooted Innjoo One 3G softbricked, undetectable on SP Flashtool, etc. PLEASE HELP!!!

So, last week I got my phone rooted using Kingroot. I use an Innjoo One 3G HD phone. A couple of days later, I wanted to try out SuperSU. I installed it and it prompted me to get rid of the KingUser first. It gave me 2 options. The first option was a faster, more convenient approach. It suggested installing SuperSUME which would help me to be able to uninstall Kingroot. So, I installed SuperSUME and initiated the process of uninstalling Kingroot. After SuperSUME prompted me that it had successfully completed the process, it automatically opened up SuperSU. However, as SuperSU attempted to run, it prompted me to restart my phone. I restarted my phone, opened SuperSU again to run it again, I still got the same prompt to restart my phone. This happened like 3 times. Then I went back into SuperSUME to repeat what I had done before. This time however I noticed that the progress bar couldn't go beyond ''installing SuperSU''. I should note here that at this time, the notification bar could no longer pull down. Even when I tried to get into settings using the icon in the app drawer, it would attempt to open up and immediately close up again. I backed out of SuperSUME and then uninstalled SuperSU hoping this would make it easier to for SuperSUME to reinstall it. I had no progress. I restarted my phone hoping that a reboot would get things working fine. When the phone restarted I got a blank black screen. I pressed the volume rocker a couple of times, but nothing showed up on the screen, except this error message ''Android system is not responding. Do you want to close it?'' I restarted a few more times, but I couldn't get past the black screen. At a point I couldn't even get to the black screen anymore. I didn't get beyond the bootloop. I have searched the internet for possible solutions, attempted a couple of suggestions that seemed to make sense, like wiping data/factory reset, install from SD card, install from ADB, flash using SP Flash Tool, nothing seems to have worked yet. My device can't even be detected by my SPFT even after installing updated USB drives. I didn't enable debugging on my phone, so Android SDK Platform tools can't my device. Right now, I'm blank, not sure what else to do than look for help here. I'd be very grateful to get some help here, PLEASE :crying:
