i told myself i would skip the innovator edition and wait until the final release came out, but i couldn't fight the temptation and just placed an order. they seem to be in stock at the moment. i'll update with thoughts once received. if you've already got one, what do you think of it so far?

They may be better informed over in that section.
On a more useful note, I read something about it being delayed until mid/late octover today, but then, I don't believe everything I read on tthe internet....
Since the leak version of the gingerbread was leaked
Can we expect an official update within the next couple of months?
If not about when will it come out?

Did you not see the other thread about this that was closed?
Dude, your thread is right above another one that was just closed because it is a duplicate of a thread of the same topic. It was on the first page, near the top - a search wasn't even required to see that there's already a thread about this.
Late yesterday afternoon I received 4.1.1 JB on my Verizon S3. I had read here & kept up with Drippler, etc., & had zero idea to expect it.
Anyone else get it shoved in their phone(s) yet, let alone yesterday?
My phone is 100% box stock, ... never even tried to fuss with root or anything like I used to with my HTCs.
Thanks, folks.

Ya considering it was available about 2 weeks ago via OTA.
In all seriousness, this is/was not a bogus, troll-like thread ... I did look around to keep track of Verizon's BS about being the last, or near-last, to release JB ... Therefore when I did get it, I was shocked, & wanted to reach out to folks on XDA that I knew would be snotty about my OP.
Thanks for keeping the hope alive.

Hello,
where would be the appropriate forum to post this link:
Mod Edit: link removed
thanx
Hi,
Since that is essentially a paid commercial app... With a long trial period, it would be best to contact @jerdog, our OEM relations specialist, about that and go from there. He handles those sorts of things. Posting it directly in the forums will likely see your thread closed.
Good luck!

Not a problem. I do want to remind everyone, however, and this is based on the last few days of research -
That the Intel Mobile Development Kit in my opinion is currently the ONLY way to test and debug privileged code on Samsung Verizon retail devices running Android 5 OG5 and later, and since a way to root those devices may never be found - it will be the only way, period.

Well, please discuss your options with the contact I gave you above. All trial and paid software is removed from the site without accompanying free (non expiring) version as well..... As a general rule. :good:

So here in a couple months I can get a new phone.
I currently have the Galaxy S5, but not quite sure what to get when I get a new phone. Anyone have any suggestions and why? Figured I'd ask now, get some suggestions, look into them and then see what I like/don't like while I have a couple months to decide.
