Hey guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 that I got from somebody to replace the cracked screen. This is not my first screen repair but it is my first time working with these Samsung tablets. I went out and bought a new screen for it which showed up in the mail damaged, so I contacted the seller and he sent a new one which was in good condition when it arrived. I went ahead and put it on the tablet with no problems. I turned the tablet on and it didn't work. I googled the problem and then I found out that there are different revisions of this screen. The screen that i had installed onto the tablet was a rev 0.2 and the one that arrived damaged was a rev 0.3. None of the screens work including the original but I think that is due to it being broken beyond use while I was removing it.
The original screen doesn't say what revision it is. The flex cable has MCF-101-0403-V3 ISU 1238 on the cable. Would this be a rev 0.0 cable? I am assuming that it is because there is no stated revision number on it. The problem I am having is that I cannot find any digitizers that are being sold on ebay that specifically say rev 0.0 on them. Does anybody know a reputable source that sells rev 0.0 digitizers? Preferably black.
I really need to get this tablet fixed because the owner has waited a long time and I'm still no closer to fixing it.
Any replies or help will be extremely appreciated!

Hate to bump my own thread, but I really need help with this.
Check out YouTube.
Pp.
I have done extensive searching but I need a source to buy a rev 0.0 from.
Thanks
I found this on ebay - http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Samsung-Gala...ablet_eReader_Accessories&hash=item5657a7329f
I just need to make sure that it will work for my tablet before I buy it because it is quite expensive.
Any solution??
Did you find the right one?
Resolution of problem should always be posted, that's how forums are helpful.

Indeed.
I will post the solution when I find it but I am not getting any help in finding one.

turns out my digitizer cracked with that glass, i wasnt 100 % filled out on what a digitizer was, but... i need one, i cant find any online anywhere! i can find them for a galaxy tab... but not a transformer. If you know of a website where i can buy one it would be much appreciated, also if you happen to have a broken transformer but still has the glass on it ill buy the glass and digitizer from you for 100$ anybody!?
did you have any luck ever finding this digitizer... or does anyone else know where i can get one... thanks
i just did that with my htc droid eris last week. i ordered one off ebay with a bad esn (dosen't matter with a wifi only tablet) and swapped out the glass/digitizer, if you can't find a digitizer maybe try to find a tf101 on ebay that the main board died out or something and then swap the glass/digitizer.
Funny how it's hard to find parts for one of the most popular android tablets...
All I could find was was this from globalpartsdirect.com but it's out of stock.
Have you tried Asusparts.eu?

Yes, buying some spare parts for my asus devices.
Too complex for you?

Then surely you noticed that they ain't got no digitizer glass screen.
Looked at my Chinese sources. Found all kinds of internal parts, motherboards, and LCD screens. But no digitizers. Also searched for 10.1" digitizers, but came up empty. I find it strange they have the LCD but no digitizers. I assume if you broke the LCD, you prob also broke the digitizer.
Good luck finding it.
Ask Asus, I'm sure they can order it. Might take a couple of weeks to come in.
Back when there were no chargers/cables to be found, I ordered some through Asus. It took two weeks, but I got mine about a week before stores/ebay had them in stock.
Any luck finding this? I'm trying to find one as well....
Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone would be able to help me with my question/problem. I'm kind of new to this site, so please excuse me if I seem noobish. I tried looking everywhere in the forums for something similar to my predicament, but I didn't find anything. Either that, or I didn't look very well.
Anyways, I'll try to be as brief as possible. I bought a broken Samsung Galaxy S2 with a cracked screen and broken digitizer for $100. My plan was to swap out everything with replacement parts, but when I took it apart to check the model number (because I noticed some differences from my i9100) I found out that it was the Korean-type S2. The model number is SHW-M250S. I looked everywhere on Ebay and Amazon for the lcd screen and digitizer for this exact model, and nothing came up except the regular i9100 lcd+digitizer replacements. Link below:
http://www.amazon.com/Display-Digit...=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1326413607&sr=1-1owever
I did check on Amazon, and the closest thing I was able to find for the shw-m250s model are these items that are in the link below. Other than the lcd screen and digitizer, it also comes with a brand new housing and other parts I don't need. Which is just making it more expensive. Link below:
http://www.amazon.com/Touchscreen-D..._1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1326418770&sr=1-3
My question is, can I use a regular i9100 lcd screen and digitizer replacement part for my SHW-M250S model, or at least use the (SHW-M250L) model part that I found on Amazon? The SHW-M250L parts look very similar to the one that I have. (That "L" could be a typo) If not, can someone send me a link to a site or place where I can buy ONLY the lcd screen and digitizer part for my exact model?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hmm, 90+ views... but no reply. Can anyone help me?
Hello,
Did you try the i9100 lcd screen and digitizer replacement on shw-m250s?
If yes and it is successful, please let me know. Even I am facing the same issue
Thanks in advance
Hi ,
I have dropped my recently bought Note 10.1 2014 edition and the screen was shattered. Touch is ok and I can see everything behind the shattered glass but it looks very ugly and nearly unusable . I went to the local Samsung repair service but they demanded ridiculous repair fees (~ 400 USD) so I want to give it a try myself. I have seen some posts here about screen replacement for older Note 10.1 versions but found none for the 2014 version.
What should I do ?? where can I get a new screen ??
Edit : I have images of the screen but I can't post them .

You might have better luck posting this in the 2014 edition forums, but I'll try to help if I can.
It looks like there is no ifixit guide as of yet, but somebody else with a similar problem attempted repairs on their 2014 edition tablet and been successful. check it out over here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2617614
That said, don't attempt these repairs unless you're very confident in your abilities and/or willing to throw quite a bit of money at it. Tablets are not designed to be easily repairable. I do computer repair and I won't touch tablet hardware problems.
Best of luck to you, OP. :good:
So I have been doing phone and tablet repairs for a while and my children both have a tabeo 2. Now my son has broken the digitizer on his tabeo and I figured ill just order a new one and get this fixed in a jiff, WRONG! Seems to be near impossible to find a digitizer for this as well as a non working unit with a digitzer intact. Does anyone know where I may be able to find a digitizer for this device? Its actually an Archos tablet model# AC80CP2. However google does not pull up anything for it and I've checked with many electronics suppliers to find the part and no luck. The digitizer is manufactured by Raece and is model# F0425 KDX. 8" capacitive touch digitizer. Anyone know where I might be able to find something like this?

The ad says that it is universal and that it will work for all versions. Is this even possible? I want to make sure that it will work because it is quite expensive.
I really need to get this tablet fixed because the owner has waited a long time and I'm still no closer to fixing it.

That is the one I used for my Galaxy Tab 2 from that same seller and it worked fine. Mine was p5113 Rev2
Did it have the pre-applied adhesive on the back side?
Replacing the LCD or the Digitiser
I have a p5113 and replacing the digitiser was fairly easy. You have to buy the parts with the tools included. I used the prying tools and a hair dryer(you may use a heat gun )to removing the digitiser. On the LCD you may have to unscrew. Be mindful to work in an area that is dust free and you are bound to have broken glass if the digitiser is being replaced. Take a look at eBay or Amazon for the replacement kits. They are pretty cheap to replace. Also take a look at YouTube videos for the replacement of the screen and digitiser.
