The problem so far was the back panel , the glue didn't do a good job with this one . And for the real model i mean compatible LTE in Canada and for Usa too , but this phone is the best i never seen so far !

The back of my D6603 feels rather elastic. It makes a clicking noise that I don't particularly like. Is this similar to the problem you had? I would be up to rma the device if need be.

@Jumaqidi , The D6603 and the D6653 are not the 2 international version ? i think it's the D6616 the locked version of the phone ?
@xnerdx no... you should check the pressure sensor. With mine the problem i only notice it when i wash it , so after that the little piece of water indicator became red... i only open the sim & sd flaps like 10 time..

There should only be one international variant of a phone at one time. If you search for 'sony z3 international variant', u will get d6653 as the search results.

D6603 can be considered the international version as it has the most LTE bands.
D6653 is more for some countries in Asia like India. Also Australia.
D6616 is meant for T-Mobile US only as it only has those three LTE bands.
L55 u/t is for China.

D6616 is T-Mobile US, only has LTE Bands 2,4,12
D6603 is the unlocked version in US also, it has all bands needed for AT&T & T-Mobile (except band 12 on T-Mobile)

Dear Colleagues
I would like to purchase a sony experia z3 right now in UK but want to ensure I can use in India and USA as well later on including 4G.
I am not technical guy and unable to figure. I believe amazon uk i selling D6603 whereas Indian flipkart is selling D6653. Any idea of usability?

Kindly advise
whitepaper
Get the D6653, it has LTE Band 40 (2300Mhz), thats the LTE band in use in India.
If you don't care about LTE, either one is ok. 2G/3G will work on either phone in all those places.
D6603 is better for US LTE compatability.
AT&T LTE - 2,4,5,17
T-Mobile USA LTE - 2,4,12
My gf has the Moto G 2013 (1st Edition) Global GSM xt1032. Will it work in Japan?
Here are the specs from Motorola's website:
Global GSM Model:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz)
Requires a microSIM card (not included)
GSMareana.com claims Japan supports the following frequencies:
JAPAN
2G capabilities
3G capabilities : UMTS 800, UMTS 900, UMTS 1500, UMTS 1700, UMTS 2100
4G capabilities : LTE 850, LTE 1500, LTE 1800, LTE 2100, LTE 2500
It would appear Japan supports UMTS 900 and 2100 which the xt1032 supports so 3g should work, but I don't know if I am doing this right so I would like confirmation.
Thank you!
I've used mine with no issues for around 5months! I believe Japan uses UMTS 2100.
However, you will probably not be able to use the special mobile email that Japanese networks use.
if so, what model will work best in USA? Is the appropriate model rootable/unlockable yet?

Talking about LTE in North America below. Bare in mind that band 12 (700 mHz) is T-Mobile only, band 13 (a different 700 mHz) is Verizon only and band 17 (another 700 mHz) is AT&T only. Don't worry about anything below 4G LTE, they all work anywhere. Lacking a band that your network provider has doesn't mean you can't use 4G LTE with them, it simply means it won't be the best the provider can give (i.e. not the fastest/worse single received indoor.)

D6603
Most adaptable version, Band 2 & 4 work with all major US LTE network providers
Band 13 works with Verizon only while band 17 works with AT&T only
Lacks T-Mobile's band 12
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz

LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20)
D6633 (dual SIM)
Same as above but lacks band 13 from Verizon and of course, two sims
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20)
D6643
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is probably sold in Brazil even though it has the same bands the aboves do
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20)
D6653
International version, but not international enough for US LTE bands. (I think it's the Asia version.)
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
TD-LTE (Band 40)
FD-LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28)
D6616 (32GB)
US T-Mobile version, only support T-Mobile's LTE bands
Band 12 is T-Mobile only

Remember, if the phone writes "DoCoMo" or "Softbank"...instead of "SONY" on the top front area of the phone, it's built only for Japan. Avoid those! Hope that helps!
Hello everyone,
I am planning to buy a new phone, and I am considering to choose either Xperia Z5 or Xperia Z5 Dual.
For me, it is necessary to use a dual SIM phone for working purposes. But if Xperia Z5 Dual has missed some critical function, then I may consider to buy Xperia Z5 instead, just like Z3+ Dual does not support Quick Charge 2.0, that is a very important function for me.
I have searched information over the internet about these 2 phones and I found some of the information are different between different web sites.
Could somebody conclude difference between these 2 phones?
Some critical functions for me:
1. Do both phones support QC 2.0?
2. Xperia Z5 Dual supports less 4G channels? Will this affects me to use the phone in different countries?
3. Anymore other differences on hardware specification?
Hope somebody can help and sorry for my terrible English grammar.
Regards,
Henry
We have same interests also. I'll just leave my comment here so that I can get a notification.

Dear schecter7,
Thank you so much for your detailed information, I feel comfortable to buy Z5 Dual now, thanks!
This link should be Handy Dandy...

Hello, Z3+ dual sim about the bands the same of z5 and support QC 2.0. This phone has heating issues. Someone know if with inminent update to Marshmalow will improve it this problem?
I say this because the device is cheaper.
Thanks
Z5 Dual Community support
I would like to know if the ROM building will be available to Dual version also?
I would go for Z5 if the custom Rom support wont be extended to the Z5Dual. This is very imp for me. If there is a custom ROM for Z5, can it easily be ported to Z5Dual?
Hi Guys, someone knows if is possible to root this device? Thank u so much!
beside these differences...
Dual tend to get less love from Sony and from Developers... Dual software updates takes longer to release than single software updates... Z3 & Z3+ for example dual versions will get the software update 1 - 3 months after single version.. I don't know if Sony changed this with Z5 or not which is unlikely...
Developers side means there's much less chance of having ROM's, mod's and even basic root... and if there's these will take longer time than single...
I've been quite used to flashing ROMs, but I had a Nexus 4 for the past few years and I am quite lost regarding the Z3 state in the development field. Could somebody answer a few questions?
Is there any Newbie Thread where I could read everything regarding flashing, restoring, backing up DRM keys, etc? Nexus 4 was quite simple and I am really lost with these new Z3 concepts.
I have a Z3 d6643. Can I flash a Z3 d6653 or 33 or 03 ROM? How does the model number influentiate everything? Can I follow all the steps for other model numbers without any problems on my phone?
Are the AOSP, CM, non-sony builds any good? Or should I stick to sony-based for a great experience?
Thanks in advance!
First thing first, in your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status > What does Bootloader unlock allowed say ?
If No, you can get root, use Xposed and ROMs for LB ( locked bootloader ), meaning stock Sony ROMs plus little mods, but no new kernel, steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056
If Yes, you can get root, use Xposed and ROMs for UB ( unlocked bootloader ), meaning even CyanogenMod or other custom kernels.
If Yes, before unlocking be sure to BACKUP your TA partition, DRM keys and such!
If Yes, it's safer to just NOT unlock bootloader (yet), you get plenty of customisation power anyway, no reason to play risky games with DRM and TA.

Thank you very much for your feedback!
This raised me 2 other questions:
1- I remember reading a long time ago about unlocking the bootloader and loosing some proprietary stuff (ie, from camera). Does this still apply? Is there any disadvantage about unlocking the bootloader? Mine is available for unlock. Should I?
2- can I install a d6653 on my d6643 with no risk of messiing up, then?
3- which roms do you suggest right now?
Thank yoh for your reply once again!

1 Atm yes is you are exigent with camera in low light environments. But may change because sony is more open with theirs drivers.
2 Main difference between D6603/6643/6653 are the LTE frequences so it may work fine but if in your country they use specific frequences you can lost LTE or speed in LTE with a D6603 Rom. For some rom they are patches for specific device like dual 6633 or single 6653 but never see one for 6643. NEED TO BE CONFIRMED.
Edit :
D6603 UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV),
1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20)
D6643 UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV),

TD-LTE (Band 40)
FD-LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28)
3 Suggest you to wait Official 6.0 which seems to be very interesting if you want more stay on LB roms with mods (best compromise stable/camera quality (LB)/mods/lighter) and if you want to quit stock unlock your bootloader to go to CM or others. But keep safe Ta partition in case you want to go back to fully stock (DRM and LockedBL)

Thaaaaanks! You saved me big time.
One last question, I promise. What are customized ROMs? What are their advantages?
Port apps like Z5 one .. Optimisations .. Tweaks .. Personnalisations .. Look moonbreakers thread for an exemple.
Not a problem how many questions you have ^^
If someone else can confirm the compatibility it would be great.
