Does the relay have a 900 mhz band for 3g ?
In my country we don't use 850 mhz for hdpda (3g), the droid 4 uses this band (but is more expenive) , but how about the relay 4g ?
wikipedia isn't straight:
UMTS bands I (UMTS 2100), II (1900), IV (1700/2100/AWS), and V (850) are supported
and
3G UMTS/HSPA+ – 850, 900, 1,700, 1,900, 2,100 MHz

It doesn't look like the relay supports 900mhz 3g. You would be probably limited to 2g EDGE on 900mhz.

Proximus deploys both band 1 and band 8: http://www.wireless.att.com/travelguide/coverage/coverage_details.jsp?CIDL=56&MNC=CING
I always thought most places if there's band 8 there's band 1, rarely seen band 8 alone.
There was a lot of confusion on whether XT1033 has 1700/2100 and will work with Wind/Mobilicity in Canada. Some website listed it with 1700/2100 other did not. So I called up Motorola and asked them to email the info. Here's what they sent:
Dear customer,
As you requested, this is the information for the MOTO G - XT1033 in regards the Networks
Networks - Moto G with 4G LTE
US GSM Model:
4G LTE Bands 2, 4, 5, 17 (1900, 1700, 850, 700 MHz)
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz)
Does this mean it should work with Wind/Mobilicity in Canada? Can anyone please confirm it working (or not) with Wind/Mobilicity in Canada?
Thanks!
anyone??????
Dear Colleagues
I would like to purchase a sony experia z3 right now in UK but want to ensure I can use in India and USA as well later on including 4G.
I am not technical guy and unable to figure. I believe amazon uk i selling D6603 whereas Indian flipkart is selling D6653. Any idea of usability?

I would like to purchase from amazon uk but just want to makes sure can use later on in India as well?
Kindly advise
whitepaper
Get the D6653, it has LTE Band 40 (2300Mhz), thats the LTE band in use in India.
If you don't care about LTE, either one is ok. 2G/3G will work on either phone in all those places.
D6603 is better for US LTE compatability.
AT&T LTE - 2,4,5,17
T-Mobile USA LTE - 2,4,12
if so, what model will work best in USA? Is the appropriate model rootable/unlockable yet?

I bought the 6603 from a US online e-tail shop and it works well with TMo.
The ones from Japan only support bands for Japan so it'll not work in the U.S
Sent from my XT1053 using XDA Free mobile app
Talking about LTE in North America below. Bare in mind that band 12 (700 mHz) is T-Mobile only, band 13 (a different 700 mHz) is Verizon only and band 17 (another 700 mHz) is AT&T only. Don't worry about anything below 4G LTE, they all work anywhere. Lacking a band that your network provider has doesn't mean you can't use 4G LTE with them, it simply means it won't be the best the provider can give (i.e. not the fastest/worse single received indoor.)

D6603
Most adaptable version, Band 2 & 4 work with all major US LTE network providers
Band 13 works with Verizon only while band 17 works with AT&T only
Lacks T-Mobile's band 12
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20)
D6633 (dual SIM)
Same as above but lacks band 13 from Verizon and of course, two sims
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20)
D6643
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is probably sold in Brazil even though it has the same bands the aboves do
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17, 20)
D6653
International version, but not international enough for US LTE bands. (I think it's the Asia version.)
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz
GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
TD-LTE (Band 40)
FD-LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28)
D6616 (32GB)
US T-Mobile version, only support T-Mobile's LTE bands
Band 12 is T-Mobile only
Band 2 & 4 work with other networks
UMTS HSPA+ 850 (Band V), 900 (Band VIII), 1700 (Band IV), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) MHz

Remember, if the phone writes "DoCoMo" or "Softbank"...instead of "SONY" on the top front area of the phone, it's built only for Japan. Avoid those! Hope that helps!
tittle says it all
is there differences in band support? Im from brazil
I bought my 5T and flashed it from H2OS to OOS using local upgrade, no problem.
Seems OP7 supports all frequency bands in Brazil. But you should check with your carrier before getting it.
