[Guide]Solve installation Aborted Error After Updating To Lollipop - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As we all know LOLLIPOP[5.0] is released for nexus 5 now....
So when installing some roms you will get installation aborted error.....
In this thread I will provide a guide to solve this error....
Why You Are Getting This Error
If you update your nexus 5 via OTA then your bootloader also gets updated..And in some updater scripts there is bootloader check to verify your bootloader version...If it miss matches then you get INSTALLATION ABORTED error
Requirements:
1. 7zip OR winzip
2.Notepad ++
3.Brain
Steps:
1.Take the rom which you want to install and extract it.
2.Now navigate to META-INF\com\google\android and open updater script with Notepad ++
3.Search for 'assert(getprop("ro.bootloader") == "HHZ11k")'
4.Now change HHZ11k to HHZ12d.
5.Save it and exit.
6.Now zip your rom again and flash it..
It should not give installation aborted error now........
HAPPY FLASHING
Press Thanks If It Helped You....

[Q] I need help install cyanogenmod 6

I'm new to rooting and installing custom roms. I used unrevoked 3 to root my ego, then I created an nandroid and wipe my phone. Next, I rebooted the phone to download the free version of ROM manager from the market. I used the ROM manager to download cyanogenmod 6 (stable). After downloading the rom, I did as the screen prompted me and wipe the phone and created a backup. From here the installation process begins and end with
Welcome to Cyanogenmod 6.0.0-supersonic assert failed: getprop ("ro.bootloader")="0.76.2000"//9.000"
E: Error in /sdcard/clockwork/download/mirror.kanged.net/cm/stable/supersonic/update-cm-6.0.0-supersonic-signed.zip
I haven't a clue what to do at this point.
Can someone please help?
"E: Error in /sdcard/clockwork/download/mirror.kanged.net/cm/stable/supersonic/update-cm-6.0.0-supersonic-signed.zip"
Read this link, I think it is about the same problem.
http://www.actuarialoutpost.com/actuarial_discussion_forum/showthread.php?t=195406&page=46
If I still can not post a link cause I am new, then I googled this:
mirror.kanged.net/cm/stable/supersonic/update-cm-6.0.0-supersonic-signed.zip"
I got three hits, read the first one "maybe we need and android tweeking ...."
Also check this out. I am tempted to say you downloaded the link to the actual file that you want and not the file. Here is the link to the actual file.
http://mirror.kanged.net/cm/stable/supersonic/update-cm-6.0.0-Supersonic-signed.zip
Click that link and then you download the file you need.

[Q] Energy ROM install faild

Hi,
I have a rooted HTC Evo 4G with Clockwork Recovery installed, I tried to install the Energy ROM following the steps from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1290300
I've followed the steps carefully and the installation fails...
In the instructions post says: use the download link in post #3, I've downloaded the file twice and verified the MD5 with MD5 Checker and are different...
The error message when installig says:
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E:Can't open /sdcard/Energy_11.23.2011.EVO4G.zip (bad)
Installation aborted.
Any help?
Thanks in advance...
copy the rom again to your sd card and if it says the same thing try redownloading
*** ( solved ) ***
Thanks for answering...
After a lot of searching I have solved the problem, formatting the sd card in fat32 format on my pc, copying again the zip rom and when I tried again to install it and no problem
Thanks!
(I've downloaded the lastest version of the ROM Energy 11.23.2011)

[Q] E: Error in /sdcard/cm-10-20121 (status 7) when install from sdcard cm10-20121005

installing update....
symlink:some symlink failed
E:Error in /sdcard/cm-10-20121010-unofficial-infuse4g.zip
(status 7)
installation aborted.
Status 7 means a getprop error...in other words, cwm detected that the zip does not suit your phone...if you are really sure that the zip is for your phone, extract the zip and find a file named "updater-script"...open it with a text editor and delete all the lines starting with "assert(getprop..." (something like that, forgot the lines )..save the file and rezip everything you extracted...then try flashing again...
Which version of CWM are you using? I've seen this on another Samsung device when I was using the wrong CWM. You need to be in CWM 6.
I had this error happen to me too, you need to odin back to stock and just flash your way back up to JB

[Question] Me172 Rooted Firmware Upgrade - Installation Aborted?

I followed this guide, and luckily got through it alive.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42080337#post42080337
Downloaded Root Dump (dump_20140520Rooted) from here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2216390&page=114
In clockwork I go to Installation from zip and locate the zip file, getting installation aborted. I have tried to wipe cache .
What am i missing in the process?
Thanks

[Q] OTA modifier

Thank's to this forum I have phone with 16gb memory, fastboot , TWRP and rooted - this is really great, thank you!
There is new update for 6039H - - 010 07p ~55Mb the of size, waiting for installation.
1st - where is this the file? Where "System updates" app is hiding it?
2nd - should we check update.zip somehow before flashing or just modify, flash and see results.?
Thank you.
Sent from my 6039H using Tapatalk
Just found where is ota hidden : /data/data/com.tcl.fota/.fotadownload
You need to have "Show hidden files" enabled in file manager to see/find it.
I tried use ota_modifier.sh get error:
ota_modifier.sh update.zip
The provided file is not a zip file!
then:
file update.zip
update.zip: Java Jar file data (zip)
In my system LXLE 14 witch is actually Ubuntu there is "zip" not a "Zip" witch is expected from script. I had to change this - editing script. One letter - big difference for linux.
Flashing update_modified.zip filed...
"/system/bin/app_process32" has unexpected contents.
E: Error executing updater binary in zip .... [path to my modified zip]
Error flasing zip [path]
[edit]
If you see this error reason is - root. Need to be fully unrooted!
Now everything went fine. Flashed thru TWRP, rerooted. Whole process takes quiet of time be patient.
