Long story short, day after rooting, SuperSu suggested to update the program. It was late at night and I clicked one of the options which was TWRP/CWMR but for HTC devices . I agreed and it rebooted the device. Now I am stuck in booting page where there is an exclamation mark with product name.
Volume UP + HOME + POWER dont get me nowhere. I also tried to go ODIN mode (Volume DOWN + HOME + POWER) but no help.
Only thing it does is after 8 seconds of power button, it gives me black screen and goes back to boot display.
Took out my and put back in my battery, later external card and SIM but always stuck at booting.
When chargin battery, it doesnt even show the visual of the battery charging(green area) but only buffering ring on battery icon.
I think the whole firmware is bad, but how is it possible to reset everything ?
I hope it isnt bricked.
Hi,
First, we need your exact model number to guide you to help. There are several S2 models.
Also, did you have twrp or CWM installed already? It sounds like SU tried to boot to them but you had stock recovery? Or am I wrong?
How did you root originally?
And yes, you need to get into download mode, you likely need to flash stock with Odin again. Without download mode or even recovery mode... You are stuck.
At the moment I am trying to get my hands on JIG USB which enables me to go Download mode. and then flash ROM from ODIN.
The exact model is S2 i9100.
Hopefully it works for you! In the future then, all questions and issues about your device would go here,

Hi
I cannot get my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus (GT-P6200) to boot in recovery mode.
I tried the following:
1) Switch off the Tab.
2) Press the Power + Volume Up buttons simultaneously until I see the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus" screen, then release the Power button and keep pressing the Volume Up button. The tab then get's stuck on the Samsung screen, even if I release the Volume Up button. It stays on this screen indefinitely, only option is to reboot by keeping the power button pressed for 5 seconds.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Same problem
any help ???
On which verison thar ur on???? have u tried to wiping data in stock recovery
??
same problem I'm having with my Samsung Gt-p6200, it just boot-loops to the "samsung galaxy tab 7.0" boot loading screen and hangs.. these happened after i flashed my firmware from stock honeycomb to jellybean(the austria firmware, i think that's been posted in this forum).
here's what happened before the problem:
-I flash the stock honeycomb firmware with the jellybean one that i found here..
-after i flashed using ODIN, the new firmware works great, i was even informed that i have free 50GB worth of dropbox space,
the file was named P6200XXMC3_P6200OXAMC3_ATO
- I have used it for a day, until the battery drains and i have to charge, but when i opened it again, it already does this "boot loop" problem
- i have tried flashing CWM with ODIN(as i've read here somewhere that it might help) and do that wipe cache and factory reset thing but that didnt help solved the problem.
hope anyone could help me, im also thinking flashing it back to it's original stock firmware but I dont have a backup of that and I dont know where to get one, I've been searching the net for two days for that stock rom but all i found are the new jellybean ones and some old ones but is uploaded to hotfile which is now deleted or locked.
I hope you guys could help me out and thanks in advance!
try flashing a new , latest firmware on odin

Hello guys! Im also having this same issue.
*Using the same firmware that was posted here in xda because i was having trouble downloading those official jellybean firmwares
*The battery got drained
then if i charge it, it will remain in a "blank slightly illuminated screen"
* after a few munutes, the tab gets really warm.
*but if i dont charge it, it will get drained again because it keeps on turning on itself back to this time to the "galaxy tab plus screen"
I cant access recovery mode.
I can access odin mode and can flash successfully with cwm or the same firmware back but the problem still persist.
I havent tried other firmwares though.
4 days passed already and i cant figure this out
Please help
So I had this happen to me yesterday, where it rebooted randomly on me, only to freeze on the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus screen. I had custom recovery (TWRP) don't know if that matters, but I was able to access it by holding Power+UpVol but keep it held. It would freeze on the same spot but since I was still holding the keys it reboots a second time and this time it would go into recovery.
I then wipes cache and dalvik, no go. Sadly did a full wipe. Still no going past the tab plus text. So I flash MF1 official 4.1.2 firmware (I was previously on 4.1.2 UK official) still no go. Put in latest 2.8 TWRP and booted into it still with some trouble as I mentioned above. Did another wipe and it then hung on blank screen or so I thought. Took a long time to boot and after a long time, and the Android is upgrading message, by some weird chance I was on the MF1 official rom but all my apps settings everything was saved.
Working 100% now and I still don't really know what the hell happened. But if this helps anyone then all the better!
My samsung p6200 is woking almost fine but i am not able to go into the download mode when i press volume down button and power the screen is at samsung logo it stays for a while and then it restarts from there, its the stock rom that's messd up i belive any help how to go into downlod mose other way would b apriciated
Hi There,
Firstly I do apologize if this has already been posted, but I have searched through the forums and have not been able to find any specific information about this particular problem.
I have a Galaxy S3 (purchased in 2012) and a few weeks ago, the phone started to automatically switch off (when I locked it) and I would have to hold the power button for about 15-30 seconds for it to switch back on.
I checked the power button(to see if it was broken and pressing down all the time) but it seemed to be fine as whenever I pulled the battery, the phone would NOT come on unless I held the power button.
About 1 week ago when i tried to turn my phone on, with the power button, but it would get stuck on the samsung logo screen (it was frozen, not looping).
I was still able to enter both recovery and download mode. So I tried wiping the cache but it did nothing.
Then I tired flashing the ROM with ODIN and it passed but it also did nothing (tried flashing multiple times all with "PASS" as well as wiping the data cache in conjuction with the flashing but to no avail).
Tried flashing it again with BL and it also passed, but now whenever I try to enter Recovery Mode or Turn the phone ON it would display a White Scrambled Screen which probably means eMMC failure.
Now for the problem:
How do I retrieve the information on the phone ?
N.B;
- I do not care about fixing the phone, only want the information
-I cannot enter Recovery Mode, BUT I can enter download mode.
-When I connect S3 to PC it is detected (In Device Manager it states "Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite Device")
-I did have my phone password protected before this happened using the Pattern Password (you have a 3x3 Dot grid in which you can use to draw a line(s) which will function as a password)
-My phone is an S3 GT-I9300
-Never interfered with the ROM or software on the phone before this (was running the official android software from Samsung which I believe was Android Version 4.3).

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
I was going to suggest this thread...

...but I see you made it there already.
So yeah, flash those (CF-AutoRoot and TWRP/Team Win Recovery Project) in order via ODIN/Download Mode. Should be able to be in a state to back up your files to a MicroSD (or go the more readable, but slower process of "adb pull").
Hope this helps, and good luck!
Ok, so I tried to root my phone using odin and cf auto but at the end of the process when my phone got rebooted I was stuck on the logo screen for ages and this small red text showed at the top saying something like recovery is not seandroid enforcing. So after searching through solutions I tried formatting the phone but when I tried to go into recovery mode it just rebooted back to the logo screen. So I then tried to reinstall the firmware but after doing this Odin said failed and then my phone got rebooted and is now stuck on the message "An error has ccured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software." But Samsung Kies and Smart Switch says my device is not supported and when I try to go into recovery or download mode the phone just turns of and goes back to the error screen. Can anyone please help me. This is a new phone and my parents would kill me if they found out I screwed it up already.

Put your phone in download mode and use odin to flash ROM. It will work.
Good luck
1) smartswitch or kies wont work at all because you already tripped your knox
2) recovery is not seandroid enforcing <- this text shows you have custom recovery installed.
3) you possibly didnt turned knox off. settings>lock screen and security > find my mobile> there will be an option to switch it off
now solution
1st of all you havent bricked it! its soft bricked and not hard bricked(hard brick wont even turn on)
what you can do is let the battery drain off totally charge it and try to put it in download mode > odin > flash stock rom first(important step).
from there try to turn it on if it does you great. and dont use cf auto root if you are not familiar with it download some other roms which are way better than stock touchwiz, pre rooted and way better than it(like the note5 rom for s6 by arter).
by the way keycombinations >
downloadmode = vol down+home+power to switch off download mode vol down+ power only
recoverymode= vol up+home+ power
if you can put it in download mode follow my steps and hopefully you can, just keep trying

My phone wont go into download mode. When I press the button combination, the phone reboots and goes back into the screen saying the software error again. And the first time I tried to flash stock the phone is how the error message came up.

Ok so I let my phone completely drain of charge, then the second I put it on charge, the phone goes to the software error screen. Download mode just reboots phone into the error screen and recovery mode doesn't seem to do anything. Ill see if Odin recognizes the phone though
Ahm probably you missed something that could help you resolve your issue in much less time.
1. Press Vol Down + Power Button for 5 seconds until it reboots. After the screen is off then quickly switch to Vol down + Home + Power button to access download mode.
It is the key combination to safemode but it your case, it will just force restart your phone. No need to drain your battery.
2. Maybe most of the newbies always missed this part before doing anything to their phone. Backup (either on smart switch or Nandroid*best option)
3. You need to have proper samsung usb drivers installed and check in odin if your phone was recognized.
The only thing I see from your first post is that the firmware installation (odin) was interrupted. Please let it finished installing before doing anything in ur phone. Check faulty usb ports/usb cables to ensure your pc/laptop works well with ur s6.
Let us know how if u still encounter any issues.

do as the guy above said in 1st step thats a key step to put it in download mode
Thank you guys
The phone is all good now. It turns out that the software error screen was also the download mode. So I flashed the stock rom and everything is fine now. Thanks for the help.

Even though knox is tripped you can use smartswitch.
I know this because I have done it.
I rooted my phone, installed custom kernel, etc.
I then broke the screen, and since it was a hardware issue, I got it covered by my phone provider. (I am in Aus, we have different warranty laws compared to the USA.)
But I had to return it to stock. So I used Smartswitch to do so, even with knox tripped.
Ok, I bought a galaxy s7 from my friend, because he was getting a new phone, but I discovered that wifi wasn't working at all, so I thought it had to do something with the firmware and I decided to flash the rom with odin, with a newer version of the firmware.
This is where all my problems started, when I restarted my phone for the first time I noticed that the startup/booting animation was some weird ****, not like the usual one (the samsung logo) but was a weird loud animation with the letters of MTK, in that moment what came to my mind was that I just could be a custom rom or just a custom boot animation, so I didn't gave it too much attention, I continued to do what I was gonna do and tried to boot my phone into download mode with the classic normal method , Volum Down+Home+Power, when I tried this apparently It didn't work, I could stay there pressing the buttons for like 5 minutes and nothing would happen, and once I would release them, the phone would turn on and do the weird animation and boot like normal, at this point I was already worried so I proceded to Root my phone with KingRoot and install an app to manually boot my phone into download mode, it didn't worked. After hours of searching for a solution I found about ADB and I did all the steps to boot my phone from there, still nothing, when I typed the "abd reboot download mode" or something like that, the phone would just restart and do the ****ing weird animation again, so I tried booting into recovery mode and when I tried to do it, an android robot would appear laying on the ground with his chest open, and the words "No command". When I would press the home button the phone would react and send me to the recovery mode, normal.
So I'm begging you guys for help, since I don't know what to try now.
It looks like the download mode or maybe the firmware is broken, and I can barely do something without the download mode, pls help.
What I've tried so far:
-Basic 3 buttons method (can't remove battery, it's an s7)
- ADB method
- ADB fastboot method
- Vol Up+Vol Down+Home+Power
- Can't do anything with Odin since I need download mode
- Tried to install twrp recovery mode from ADB but says that It didn't found the file
If someone knows a solution for this please tell me what I can do.

My galaxy s5 has a broken volume Up button, and it mostly hasn't been a problem up to this point. I could reboot into recovery and download using advanced reboot or ADB whenever I needed to, but then I bricked my phone with a faulty Lineage OS update. I can now turn the phone on, but it gets stuck on the Samsung logo, never progressing. I can't boot into recovery to recover a backup or flash a safe Lineage zip because my phone's Volume Up button is broken. I cant boot into download to flash using ODIN because after I get to the warning screen, I can't confirm I want to go into download mode with the Volume Up button. Is there any way to force boot into Download or Recovery (maybe using some computer program or something like it) so I can fix the OS and get out of a bricked phone? I don't care about loosing data since I knew the risks going in and have plenty of backups. So far, the only "solutions" I have found have required the phone's ADB (which I cannot access since I cannot boot up the phone), and a promising program that force boots Download mode through a charging cable (which I couldn't download because it was marked as "potentially dangerous" to my computer, A.K.A. a virus).
Repairing the phone's volume button is very complicated and expensive, so that is not an option. Getting a new phone is an option, but it is the option of last resort. Is there anything I can do to salvage this phone?
Hi there and welcome to assist,
I would suggest, get the power button replaced, because you'll get locked out, when battery runs out or phone turns off!
