[VIDEO] Best Note 4 Screen Protector - Ionic v. Spigen v. iSmooth - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

Hey everyone, I made a video where I compare three of the highest rated screen protectors for the Note 4. Hope this helps anyone looking to get a screen protector for the Note 4.
Update: turns out people who have tried the iSmooth say that the weird feel actually goes away after a few days. If that's really the case, I would say that the iSmooth is probably the best value as you get a lifetime guarantee and also a nice kit to help you install the protector.
In today's video I compare three of the highest rated screen protectors for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Here are the links to the protectors:
Ionic Clear Screen Protector:

Spigen Crystal Series:

iSmooth Ultra Clear:
http://amzn.to/1G48mL3

Good review. Just a note about the iSmooth protectors. I have used them before and you have to use it for a day or two and that sticky feel goes away. They do honor their free replacements.

Oh that's nice to hear. Is it glass like smooth or does it still have a slight resistant feel?

The ones I used on my note 3 were smooth after a day with no sticky.

ISmooth are the best non tempered glass imo. After the silicone adhesive wears off after 3 days you can't tell the difference between this and the pure screen feel. Great price, great warranty.

I might need to update my review with some annotations then, if the feeling does really go away after a few days then I think it's probably the best for the value.

It definitely does.. I've had mine on for over a week and I really can not tell the difference. I've been a ISmooth supporter for several years now.

I put my vote in for iCarez. I use them on all my device if I don't run tempered. Package comes with the directions and materials to apply the protector using the hinge method and they apply perfect without bubbles. You can't even tell there is a screen protector on it.

I can confirm the weird feel goes away for the iSmooth. I have installed it on three Note 4S.

Might as well throw in my confirmation too. Also, their warranty support is excellent. They sent me 3 replacements w/ free shipping after I ran into an issue. Definitely can't beat it especially for the price.

Mr Shield Screen Protectors - Different than shown

I got the el-cheap-o screen protectors in to use while we all wait for some decent tempered glass options. These things are not the same as what is shown on amazon. i have to assume they will work... although i really don't know.
and this is what amazon looks like.

No problem. I'm sure as soon as the Moto has been in more peoples hands that more proper fitting protectors will surface. For now this will have to do until I get my overpriced protector from Motorola.

Return to Amazon - I have same issues as others. Arent we going to have this issue with ANY screen protector? If it is smaller, you will distinctly feel the "drop off".
Little different
Just got the clear ones in today. Mine aren't what Amazon shows but they differ from the ones you received as well. There are cutouts for the bottom sensors and a centered cutout at the top. It's also smaller than the screen to avoid the curved edges. They actually sent me an email after ordering it explaining why it's smaller than the phone.

I was just looking at these from Amazon, I usually go straight otterbox for my phones and I've found the screen protectors that come with it are adequate so I've never shopped around for other screen protectors. I just got this bumper/case in: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00N3VHD6C
It fits quite snug and I'm wondering how it will sit with a tempered glass cover.

Best looking note 4 case....

Hello guys I personally believe the body glove satin case is the best case design for the note 4. It's very good looking and will get you plenty of compliments. I have the black one for my white note 4.. Also I have the spigen neo hybrid and it's ugly and thick. The body glove satin case is as slim as the note 4 but offers protection and a luxurious design. Check it out here....http://www.bodyglovemobile.com/styles/slim-series/....ps you have to see it in person to know how nice it is...pictures don't do it justice....it also keeps your standard volume keys without covering it up, also the heart rate monitor is fully accessible with this case and even the power button is not covered.....keeps the note 4 looking fancy

Attractive but not conventional, two step process to see my phone...no way
And for that price the Mont Blanc case, the liner should be real leather not fake.... And come with a hooker for the night
160 pounds for that?
Lol, you can buy the Note 4 for that price in 1 years time.
The best case is UAG.
I just got the Samsung protective cover. Great color(s) and can't wait for red. Slim fitting but still adequate in the most necessary of areas. I'm happy... especially cause I got em both for the price of one.
Sold my neo hybrid. Much bigger than looks in pictures, uncomfortable to hold one handed, can't use the heart rate sensor and not all that grippy for a mostly tpu case.
You literally have to be in the 1% to spend $250 on a case, or you just REALLY like the look, which I doubt would be the case since it doesn't look that special to begin with. It doesn't even make you breakfast.

Wet/Dry Screen Protectors

I know there is a "Tempered Glass Screen Protector" thread, but since those seem to be ineffective ATM.... Also please leave tempered glass discussion and info in the other thread.
Has anyone tried a dry application or wet application screen protector on your Moto X? I like how wet fit protectors seem to mold perfectly to the phone, but they always feel rubbery which I hate. Dry applied protectors seem to suffer from the same issue the tempered glass protectors do, they don't hold down on the curved edges of the screen.
Has anyone tried anything they like?
I'm using dry protectors sold by Verizon. Sticks very will for me. But it is a fingerprint/smudge magnet!

Yeah strange. I don't see it on the web site either. I was walking through the mall here in phoenix a couple days ago and was able to get one
Rhino shield said they are making one and the preorder page is up.
Please preorder one, it will be quality unlike anything else available. Would hold my breathe on tempered glass due to the curved screen.

Doesn't look like this will happen since there are only 4 pre orders
Any similar to zagg yet?
Since zagg hasn't made one for the moto x 2nd gen, I desperately wanted one. I bought one for an Sammy s5 for 9.95 and modified by cutting the top and bottom off. While the top section and bottom are exposed, the main screen is covered. Width is perfect. Feels so much better than the dry application ones from vzw I had. Combined with my otter box defender with the built in screen protection removed, I'm a happy camper now. Protection with the right feel for me.
For wet skin protectors, give Best Skins Ever a try. I discovered and tried them against Xtremeguard and Skinomi (I refuse to try any other skin brand that goes over $20) back in the days when I had a Nexus 4, which also had a curved screen. I found the BSE skin to have the slickest feel on the screen, and they're cut to within 1mm of the absolute edge of the screen. The back also has 3 separate pieces, for the camera flash and dimple. They run $8.99 for a full skin set. I plan on buying one soon for my incoming Moto X, as a temporary solution until somebody makes a proper fitting tempered glass protector.

Tech Armor Edge 2 Edge Glass protector for Note 4

Tech Armor has fixed the issue with the protector not adhering.
I have purchased 5 and all 5 have stayed on for a total of 4 weeks with cases on. No haloing.

Do these go with the curve of the screen?
I just got mine. Put it on and took it back off. Only the edges have adhesive. The clear center part for the screen doesn't touch the screen so it makes the screen look dull or hazy. The good thing about this is that the edges are solid color so you don't see any halo if there are any. It's flat so I'm sure the halo is there but you just can't see it. I put my old tempered screen back.
Also wanted to point out, I bought the edge to edge glass version.

No, Im sorry I dont have any pictures, and I have sent over 20 emails to Tech Armor about the issues, and I keep getting the same question about my Amazon order numbers, then an appology then no reply for 6-7 days with the same question being asked. Very bad support from them.
Recently took my Note 4 back due to lack of root and picked up a Nexus 6.

The best Note 7 case but could it scratch the rear glass ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SENNmR4M-o
I have had the Note 4 LED flip case for almost 2 years and it is amazing.
I will definitely be getting this one for Note 7 too.
One thing I wonder, could the case part scratch the rear glass on the phone ? I think it is made out of plastic so I am worried about the back getting scratched due to dust/sand that gets in between.
Perhaps leave the original plastic on the back or get a Dbrand skin ?

It's just a thin body skin, you shouldn't have any problems with any case fitting over it.
Regardless, keeping things clean is key:
The Gorilla Glass 5 is tougher than Gorilla Glass 4,but,a LOT more prone to scratching.
It apparently only rates 3H on the hardness scale before scratching, barely beating out plastic.
A test hit the tech sites earlier today,a YouTube video shows the results.......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=571pu66vEBc
I agree. A full body skin protects the back and sides of the phone. I use the IQ shield. It will not add thickness or interfere with nfc / wireless charging / cases. Im using both of these with no issue.

There's no case that will protect from scratch on the rear. Neither slap a back screen protector on, or consider Dbrand or Slickwrap. My S7 edge got scratched because of this.
I have the spigen wallet case on my s7e for over 6 months with no issues at the back of my glass!
There's a similar leather wallet case for the Note 7 and cause it's Spigen, quality would be excellent!
