Any way I can disable just the home key. I use LMT. Don't want to enable navbar.
What's the point of using PIE is only the home button is disabled and not the menu and back buttons?
Anyway, if you want a seamless pie experience without enabling and nav bar and with keeping the status bar, try out Paranoid Android

Yesterday I removed navbar using "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" and installed LMT.
Today I noticed, that the menu button is gone both in chrome and chrome beta.
Other apps work fine.
Does Anyone have an idea how to bring it back?
Bump
It's because you've told the phone you have a hardware button, so it'll remove the overflow button in (some) apps
Is there a way to hide navbar and keep the software "menu" button?

I believe Gravity Box allows you to remove the emulated hardware keys and adds the 3-dot menu key to almost(?) all apps.
So I have tried a few lollipop roms and I can't seem to find one that has the on screen nav button editor/reorganizer. I want to be able to reorder the on screen nav buttons and also assign longpress actions to them. I know you can assign long press to the hardware keys but I would like to be able to do this with the onscreen nav keys. Does anyone know of a lollipop rom that has this feature?

You should be able to open the SystemUI.apk and edit the navbar yourself if you really need it.

Is there any way to turn off the screen (lock the device) without the need to press the right power button?
for example, with OPO you could long press the home button and the device got locked.
thanks!
you can use Custom Navigation bar and add a power button to either side of the nav bar

If you run Nova launcher, you can go to Nova settings, gesture & input and select screen lock for your desired gesture.
actually i just downloaded this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simi.screenlock
and its working
If you use the edge panel, use softkey edge. It has a screen lock button.

i think theres a lock option in the assistant menu, furthermore you can use the bxactions app with nova launcher and remap actions to lock the screen.
I prefer to do everything by the button. I hate swipe left for this and swipe up for that. will the pie update take away my 3 buttons at the bottom? if there is one reason to stay away from pie for me, it would be enforcing the use of gestures vs pressing buttons.
Hi! No, on Pie you can still use the navigation bar buttons. The "one button navigation" option on the Moto app stays in Pie and you can toggle it on or off, to switch between buttons or the gesture pill.
Hi. I wanna ask if anyone knows a way to get back the software system buttons shortcuts customization in OOS 12.1 with rooted phone. By these shortcuts i mean for example double clicking overview button (square) for dragging the navigation bar down and other useful things that were customizable in OOS11. Now we just have long press overview for separated screen, double click overview for sliding through active apps and long press home buton (circle) for google assistant with no ability to change any of these in settings AFAIK.
