I don't like gestures... AT ALL - Moto Z3 Play Guides, News, & Discussion

I prefer to do everything by the button. I hate swipe left for this and swipe up for that. will the pie update take away my 3 buttons at the bottom? if there is one reason to stay away from pie for me, it would be enforcing the use of gestures vs pressing buttons.

Hi! No, on Pie you can still use the navigation bar buttons. The "one button navigation" option on the Moto app stays in Pie and you can toggle it on or off, to switch between buttons or the gesture pill.

[Q] Swipe up to press hidden soft keys?

Hi all,
I've been using GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys to, well, auto hide my soft keys. But I'm frustrated by the two-step action to press a button--first an upward swipe at the bottom of the screen, then a press on one of the buttons. But since the buttons are always in the same place, I'd like to just swipe up in the vertical of the button to engage the press--for example, swiping up in the bottom left corner will press the back button without ever showing it.
Does anyone kow of an app t hat does this, or how I can go about this?
Thanks!
Update: Got it. GMD Gesture Control!

Disable home key ? and use pie

Any way I can disable just the home key. I use LMT. Don't want to enable navbar.
What's the point of using PIE is only the home button is disabled and not the menu and back buttons?
Anyway, if you want a seamless pie experience without enabling and nav bar and with keeping the status bar, try out Paranoid Android

Turning off screen without Power Button?

Is there any way to turn off the screen (lock the device) without the need to press the right power button?
for example, with OPO you could long press the home button and the device got locked.
thanks!
you can use Custom Navigation bar and add a power button to either side of the nav bar

If you run Nova launcher, you can go to Nova settings, gesture & input and select screen lock for your desired gesture.
actually i just downloaded this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simi.screenlock
and its working
If you use the edge panel, use softkey edge. It has a screen lock button.

i think theres a lock option in the assistant menu, furthermore you can use the bxactions app with nova launcher and remap actions to lock the screen.

Navigation bar buttons

Does Honor View 10 have Back and Recent Apps buttons to the left and the right of the Home button with fingerprint scanner? Or onscreen navigation bar and Home button gestures (where tap is Back, long tap is Home and swipe is Recent Apps) - are the only options to navigate the Honor View 10?

No capacitive back and recents button next to fingerprint scanner. You can use onscreen nav or the home button gestures using the fp scanner like you mentioned or another mode where there's a floating nav dock..

SW System buttons shortcuts customization in OOS12.1?

Hi. I wanna ask if anyone knows a way to get back the software system buttons shortcuts customization in OOS 12.1 with rooted phone. By these shortcuts i mean for example double clicking overview button (square) for dragging the navigation bar down and other useful things that were customizable in OOS11. Now we just have long press overview for separated screen, double click overview for sliding through active apps and long press home buton (circle) for google assistant with no ability to change any of these in settings AFAIK.
