This is stable enough for me to use as an everyday (12/6 nightly). Will OTA update list show when an official stable version releases? Will I be able to update CM versions OTA using the update feature in settings? Great work last CM i used was CM 7 for my HTC One X hahaha:good::good:

tonight it is... 20141209 is there :good:

Camera quality seems to be great on CM11. I tested this next to a stock Verizon G3 and the only difference I noticed between the 2 would be the color temperature. One macro image I took with both was noticeably better on the one with CM11.

so does the laser auto focus still seem to function correctly with this?
is there any real way to verify that it is working except supposed time to capture image by estimation

Best flashed rom yet... Tried Liquid Smooth and ran into a bunch of different issues and wanted something more stable. This runs fast and smooth, no issues as of yet. Wish the LG quick remote would one day work on this rom. Thanks for posting!

What does this mean exactly ? its updated nightly ? or ... haha
a nightly-build contains all the newest changes which come step-by-step.
all the changes will be offered in a new release candidate if there are stable and harmonize.
so if you always want the newest fixes, patches and so on..you have to flash the nightly-builds. but there is no guarantee that it is stable.
if you want a stable build you have to wait for the rc
sorry for my bad english

Team Douche do work on the rom every day. You can see what commitments they make to the code on the git hub. Every night an automated build bot compiles the code into a flashable rom. As stated in the op, these are experimental builds which add new features but may be quite buggy. In my experience with the nexus one they are usually very stable apart from the odd annoying glitch.
Most importantly for bleeding edge lovers like myself you get to check out new features before, often weeks before, people using the stable branch.

But, now Cyanogen has got all organised, at this stage in the cycle i.e prior to release of the stable version it tends to mainly be bug-fixes rather than additional features so in my experience these late nightly release are often better than the RC's on which they are based

hi i'm new to Android and have a few questions. Just flashed this rom and it looked amazing except that I didn't have market or any other apps. Is it just me (do those apps fall under the Google stuff mentioned earlier? And is it possible to get my contacts from leedroid (just switched after full wipe) also would it help if I flashed the "normal" CM and install the nighty Rom s update ?Anyone can help me? Thx in advance

yup market, gmail, maps etc come under the GAPPS package which you have to flash after flashing cyanogen mod.
If you sync your contacts to your gmail then it should be restored after entering your account details with the new rom
And it doesn't matter if you install the normal CM and then install the nightly, you can just jump straight into the nightly if you want. As previously stated, normal is a stable release whereas nightly is untested but usually stable.

yes you need to get the google addons for theDHD its HDPI-20101114
http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/
but if you downloaded the rom from rom manger it asks you if you want the google add-ons after the rom as well.
when you install google add-ons sould get your contacts back
only need to do full wipe if you coming from a different rom, eg leedroids rom, if already using CM 6.1 rc2 or rc1 just need to flash the nightly over it.
Thx a lot you both saved my day

Still having homescreen lag + notfication bar lag. I wonder when it'll get fixed, I think aosp managed to totally iron out the popup dialog animations a few builds back, but I think it came back.
I wonder what it is that does this? Anyone else who's experiencing the same, feel free to chime in, this time I'm looking to see if we share something common about our phones.
(This is in comparison to Froyo)
RC2 already! That was really fast!!
I know the camera quality has been an issue in all the nightlies thus far. Is this release any different?

Before posting on this thread, make sure of a few things:
Make sure you have the LATEST version of ClockworkMod recovery. Other recoveries may work but will not be supported by CyanogenMod
You've utilized the search function of the forums. Nothing irritates me more than lazy people who do not search for an answer before asking.
If you are the only one having a problem. Boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, reflash the rom/gapps and nothing else. Boot up and see if the problem persists.
Make sure your post is relevant to this thread. "I'm having problems rooting/unlocking" is NOT relevant here.

GApps
Should we use the PA KitKat gapps when flashing or use the 11-19 gapps you have in your collection?

So glad to see your name in this forum. A trusted name for years now! Thank you so much Invisiblek!
Is this based one 4.4.1 yet? Will the camera upgrades make its way to us on the S3 or were they just for the N5? Just wondering.

Thanks Invisiblek for this thread and your work!
I got some early errors with gapps crashing after I switched over to ART but rebooting after that, haven't had a problem.
Not supposed to be using ART on this phone. Its for devs only. No need for it. It doesn't do anything except make certain apps unusable.

Thanks for the information guys. I appreciate it. Its turned on now and everything works for me - I'll probably shut it off if something becomes unstable.
I did notice that the "Location" item in the Quick Settings menu says it is off even though location services are turned on. Not a big deal I don't toggle it very often but just thought I'd mention it.
Also, anyone know any setting to make the new launcher do landscape?

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

It seems to be a common, known issue right now. I'm not sure what the cause of it is.
can we get a quick rundown of any major bugs/what's not working so far?

I'm on 12/9 and I am experiencing no major bugs. Just make sure you use 4.4 gapps (I'm using invisiblek's latest in his OP post). Your milage may vary but I have no reason against using it as a daily driver. Just do a nandroid backup and if you have issues you can fall back to it. My only complaints are minor: the LTE toggle I added to quick settings appears to be buggy/not work. But I changed mobile network settings to CDMA/EDVO auto and that works for me. I needed to install the Google Keyboard before I could type anything but that was before I flashed gapps. Do a factory reset before flashing etc and let us know how it goes!

I can't seem to find where to go to disable the volume indicator sound when adjusting the volume. Is that missing? I looked though all settings categories.

Based on what I've read from people's experiences switching to 4.4, I would say no. It simply won't boot. Wipe the usual and do a clean install. In general, when in doubt, clean install, 'cause why not?

On 4.4? I haven't personally tried it yet. I've been busy. Once again, from what I've read, people are amazed at how from the first nightly on, this has basically been daily driver material.
Which Google Apps pack do I want for this? Thanks
Sent from my SCH-I535 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Just installed, smooth once I got the newest version of ClockwerkMod.
Question, I see CM11 replaced it's old launcher with two new ones, "Launcher" and "Launcher 3".
What is the difference?

I did a semi "dirty" install over 10.2 RC1 and things like bluetooth and the Google keyboard proved buggy. I have just formatted, wiped cache and dalvik and installed 12/12 nightly fresh. I used the gapps from 12/8 found in the link in the development thread. I used the mirror at invisiblek. Seems much better now.
Edit:
Is anyone else having trouble with their Bluetooth devices reconnecting once paired, powered down, then powered back up? I have a Motorola Elite flip. I pair it. It works. Then if I shut it off it needs to be resynched upon powering up.
How's the camera resolution on CM4.4.1 compared to stock TW? Thx in advance!

Google+ Locations FC?
Hello,
Installed the 12-12 Nightly and am having a problem with Google+.
When I try to access "Locations" (the old Latitude option on Google Maps) to see my friends, I get a FC.
Anyone else get this?
Thanks!
Thinking about going from CM10.2 Stable to CM11 here in a bit. Just a (probably really stupid) quick question: How do I determine what my current firmware is without much trouble? I'd rather not worry about updating that if I don't need to once the time comes.
I see the OP links to VRBMF1 firmware, which is what my Baseband version says (I535VRBMF1) in Settings > About, but I'm not sure if those are one in the same or not. Thanks.

IT SEEMS THERE ARE NO MORE UPDATES FOR CM12! 12/10 seems to be the last one. If you flash CM13 without looking into things first, you could be in for a world of hurt! CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Notes:
Please Use Firmware: VRBMF1
and
Modem/Baseband Version: NE1 (Also, see "Notes - Possible Bugs" section below)
(EDIT: The following statement might not be true. It happened to one user. Unsure about circumstances... If you've done it or want to try, please tell us what happens.)If you have recently downgraded firmware from 4.3 to 4.1.2, DO NOT flash the MF1 firmware. You'll brick your device!
If you know you never took the 4.3 OTA, then you can flash the firmware and modem to your hearts content.
CWM Recovery addicts: Please seriously consider giving up CWM and come on board with what works for sure with 5.1.x, TWRP. Problems have been coming up with CWM users so if you have one, that's were to start. Hopefully there's a 12-step program somewhere for y'all

Download Links :: Download Links Broken!! - On or about 12/18 the links for 12.1 ceased to function. The links for 12.1 and 13 are all listed on the same page at the moment as well. While 12.1 builds have continued to come out every few days or so for other devices, the last one for the d2vzw is for 12/10 at the moment. I don't know if this is a temporary of permanent state of affairs but inquiries are forth coming. In the mean time, the 12/10 build is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link below so at least we got that, thanks to XdrummerXboy.
Also, if you have a build from about 11/15 and later hanging around you could upload it for others to access, if need be, by following the instructions from this post: Upload Instructions

Google apps addon:
TK Modular GApps by TKruzze. Get your GApps from the Master. Follow his installation instructions.
Open GApps:opengapps.orgThey are modular AND have the option of Aroma Installer. Updated daily. Very interesting story on these. There is the website, and an XDA thread.
>>>WARNING!!<<< The first time one installs Open GApps, you have to do it with a ROM update (or reinstall current ROM) AND manually wipe the system partition first. Then install the ROM and the GApps normally, then wipe Dalvik and Cache. After that, you can flash them anytime. (More info on Website.) ALSO, for now, don't install Webview as it might not work. There is an "Android System Webview" in the Play Store that will work.
Other Options:
The Gapps Central For those of you who just have to be different, a GApps Smorgasbord, by TheXGX
Banks Gapps removed after just one too many malfunctions... If you use 'em and have a problem, update from the Play Store your offending app or flash one of these others, but don't come complainin'.

Link to TWRP Recovery You can flash the .img file right in TWRP recovery 2.8.4 or later!
- All you ever wanted to know about how Cell service works but were afraid to ask: Cell Wiki
- Samsung Galaxy S 3 the most popular phone of all time? Still? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_III
Notes - Possible Bugs
Bluetooth observed as flaky with some connected devices.
CMUpdater apparently only functional with TWRP 2.8.7.0
4G/LTE Data might not start on bootup (lately) - With Wifi disconnected or off, go to Settings>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names and select one of those not already selected. Give it a few seconds. Should be good till next reboot.
Addendum to Data Issue: If you can't live with the above solution (like me) then downgrading to the ML1 modem has fixed it, seemingly without any ill effects. Modem is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link above.
>>Attention ATT, T-Mobile and other GSM Network Users (International)<<
If you use your d2vzw on one of the GSM networks, you will have to flash the d2gsm_rilblobs.zip file in the 'd2vzw ROM Extras' link above or your phone won't operate properly!
The CyanogenMod team (of which I'm not a member) always thanks everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

@Master Cylinder, you can use mine for now.. http://mastamoon.truelinux.net/firmware/ Just note that you have to flash the firmware first, then the modem. Otherwise the firmware, which contains a modem, will overwrite the newer modem.
CyanDelta sounds greate. However, I get FC with it. Reboot does not help.
I'm on 5/13 nightly.
Anyone has the similar problem?

And you downloaded or had a 5/13 build zip to operate from to setup? And you had at least 750mb free space before pushing the zip over or dloading it? Maybe one needs more than that amount space? When did it fc?
