I have been trying to load custom ROM's but I have not found one that everything works. I have one but the Data won't work no 4G. So what is everyone using?

Just for future reference, there is a search function on these forums. For example, I typed 'custom kernel stock rom' into it and a whole bunch of useful information appeared.
Having said that...
Is your phone s-off/rooted? You could flash a custom kernel provided that the build numbers are compatible. For example, Bricked kernel is stated to work with the majority of roms since it creates a boot.img from the one on the phone. Ultimately I would recommend extreme care and I would personally be flashing a stock-look custom rom if you still wanted the stock experience with the custom kernel.

i can't tell about roms because i have never used another one but about flashing kernels find the one that suits with your chosen rom and flash it via recovery.i suggest you to install 4ext recovery.many of us use it

I would like to see your advice whether should I flash a cutom rom like NOS_v2.0.0_X920E or to still run stock?
My device is HTC X920e with unlocked bootloader, S-ON rooted and TWRP installed.
Are there any advantages to go for custom rom? I know i'm running and there are some chines app installed even we delete it removed it using other advance apk or ultimate backup.etc, but after restart the phone, thos will be auto installed which is very annoying.
But maybe you can help bring some more reasons why we should still on stock or custom one.
Thank in advance and feel that in HTC butterfly's forum seem silent and not more developers like to pay much here.

phone's really not that famous to devs out there. so far I've used the NOS ROM and nothing else. not much to choose from, that is. but the ROM's running great for a daily driver.
Hey guys, so I got a brand new HTC M8 and Ive been reading all of the rooting guides and such and had a few questions. After doing a search I'm not really seeing many suggestions. So after I S-off, install custom recovery, do a backup of my stock rom, and then put a permanent root on my phone, what ROM do you guys recommend to be the best? Someone out there that has tried most of them? I love to tweak so thought Id get your guys opinions. Also, do most of you use keep the stock kernel or use a custom kernel, if so which kernel do you like? Thanks guys!!!!

I've tried Almost all. For my daily driver I use cleanrom 1.3 on stock kernel atm. I don't mess much with kernels but have just browsed thru a few threads and found some kernels that do not have "official" release. Look into them as they have gotten nice reviews. Sky fall is nice for stock as well. D.h. and his GPE ROM is pretty on point with that straight google experience. I have not tried sinless yet but that has good rants for being a GPE ROM. As far as aosp they are hit or miss for my device. Play with those for your own experience. I prefer the stock sense and great battery life so since I have been following @scrosler from my past few phones and know what to expect I am partial to his creations. Good luck. Hi i was wondering how to change custom roms if already there is one install. I have insertcoin rom install but i would like to change and install to another custom rom like viper. How do i do that. I have an htc one m7 att unlocked and i have twrp recovery. What do i have to wipe,etc. Thanks
