and btw i think he is asking weather he can directly flash his foryo os to the latest gb fw directly.
i think that he should post some more info regarding his ques..

Don't know buddy... If the file is one file as provided by odin than as per my understanding it should be flashed as pda...
Since it is an upgrade to xxkc1, you should be able to upgrade to gb from froyo. I would recommend downloading a froyo binary, hard reset the phone and then flash this file as pda. In case you get bootloop, go to recovery and remove cache and data and see if you can get to gb desktop...
If this didn't work, you should be able to downgrade to froyo....
I have seen drawbacks of gb bootloader... Lost 2 motherboards
Please take extra caution...i wrong be responsible for bricking or anything else

Hello All:
First of all thank this great work and I e know many waiting to be ported to a custom rom.
What I've done:
1) install the firmware THROUGH Odin. XXKPE
2) Install the firmware PDA XXKPH as Odin.
3) install GT-PDA-XXKPE I9003_PDA-fixed with Odin.
3) open and press SuperOneClickv1.9.1 GingerBreak and Root.
4) install CF-ROOT - I9003 - Beta as a PDA with Odin.
and voila, I have installed Legen _x_tripin and so far so good.
this is what I have done
I hope he does well
there's no such thing that Turkish people are not familiar with English.
as to your question, my friend, you need to flash XXKPE first. to do that, just make a quick search on this section. i'm sure you're gonna find what you need.
anyway, if you need help just send me a message.

First off: Flashing this firmware seems to be a bit problematic. I would suggest looking at the feedback thread beforehand.
A prerequisite to flashing this from FROYO would be to flash using the .pit file, the Boot file (APBOOT), the Modem file (PHONE), the multi-CSC file (CSC) from the XXKPE release from this link.
Use the file from this feedback thread (mentioned above too), as the PDA file.
First you must use just the .pit file in ODIN and check that re-partition is selected.
Hit reset.
Then add the aforementioned files to their respective sections in ODIN and flash.
Into my knowledge if you are on froyo then first flash with kpe with all available files under rar file(please follow flash guide thread ) then for kph (single Flash), select single file as PDA in odin then flash.
If you stuck on boot loop then factory reset your phone under recovery mode ok
I hope this will help you.

I have been using this forum for a long time and i just recently signed up because i need help with a step.
3 Turn off the phone and restart download mode.
4 Put the ROM JVU (prevented from posting outside links Password: samfirmware.com) from in download mode from odin with marked repartition and reboot the mobile. Shut it off and reboot in download mode again, from odin flash now cf-root on pda without repartition (prevented from posted outside links)

I need help with step 4.
I have put my i9000 in download mode and i have downloaded both the files needed. I dont know what to do with the JVU file. please help me.
I cannot post in the thread because i am not at 10 posts.
Even for the stock firmware. In the Official Firmware thread the only link I get is a download manager. I have downloaded tons of files before and know to avoid all those big download buttons because they are garbage software. But where is my firmware download? What am I doing wrong?
Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but if I understand correctly if you reflash a stock rom that will unroot you, and is safer/easier than any unroot methods that are out there...

Yes it is safer to unroot that way.. other than other methods of unrooting your tab... but why do you want to unroot your tab? Any problems with root?

Assuming you managed to download the zip file( yes, you can downoad it from that site, just look for the small download buttons )
The .zip file that you download isn't a "update.zip" type file, it's just a normal zip that contains you rom image. You're suppose to extract the .md5 file in the zip and flash it with Odin.
What works for me:
- Start Odin 3.07 : http://samsung-updates.com/Odin307.zip
- Click the PDA button and select the .md5 file, let it process for a while
- Put the tab in Odin mode - Shut down then hold power + vol down key
- Flash the firmware in Odin( Start button )
PS : 10th post for me, Ima gonna go spam the dev forum now MWHAHAHAHAHAH

You also must "factory reset" your device, as in erase all user data. Power + Volume up and then choose facotry reset / erase user data or similar, I can't remember
install supersu, in the settings there's a function for a full unroot. that should fully "unroot" our device. all root does is add some files to /system. nothing more. at least that's the case with our tab+.

After flashing CM11 KitKat ROM, my phone no longer works, sdcard not detected, no camera app, gallery not working as well. I can't use my phone. Hopefully flashing the stock firmware via Odin will save my phone. I'm downloading the stock firmware as of this writing, thanks for the link, download speed is fast. Hello Dr.Ketan
i'm a beginner developer
i need a few files from tab 3 7 neo for porting multi window to various devices
if ur support is with me then please reply
or anyone else seeing this message would like to help that would be great
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to root my T111 just updated with the latest official Samsung firmware (Sept 2014), now I correctly flashed recovery through Odin, but when I enter CWM and select supersu.zip to install it, it returns signature error...
Could it be related to the latest official rom?
Do I need a different supersu package (I downloaded the latest)?
I tried do download it few times, thinking about a corrupted zip, but it's intact...
Thanks in advance.
Danilo
EDIT: I follow xda since 2008, first post 6 years later...

Really?!
Odin said it worked...
By the way, I try again, should TWRP.2.7.0.1 and the latest Supersu work?
Thanks again.
P.S.: ketan, are you working on a new rom on this device? I'd like to have a clean naked one...

Use twrp one I have said in op.
I am busy with other development and no any plan to update rom for this device. One is based on previous version is there on Dev section. Basically this is not my primary device but only gaming device for my little kid. If I make any new version then will post in dev section.

Thanks again.
All the best. :good:

Hello , I got a Galaxy Tab 3 Neo (SM-T111) , I followed your process for rooting my device , all steps followed and were going correct and i flashed recovery.tar.md5 file via odin but the problem is after flashing , and pressing power+vol up+home , I can't boot in recovery , I also left the power button when logo appears , but it goes black . And once it went to stock recovery I think and there were 2 error's (No Command and then simply Error) . Please a quick and fast answer will be thankfull.
Thanks in advance ,
