I always struggle to find a good case that lets me use it as a tent. I use my tablet on the couch or in bed and flip the cover over and use it as a tent. I have found a few, links below. Let me know if you found a good tent case other than these.

I stumbled on this http://cheapdroids.com/T-Mobile-G2-Monaco-Aluminum-Case-Black-Open-Screen-Design.html
and was wondering if anyone had it or had reviews about it, looking to see that it wont interfere with keyboard like some do.
Hey quick question! This case does not open the keyboard right?

From the picture it looks like a solid one-piece, but then how would you get the phone in there?
"The lock on the side holds the top and bottom of the case tightly together and prevents the case from accidentally opening"
It seems that it's some kind of lock, so that would mean it's openable, but don't hold me to that
*Edit*: http://cheapdroids.com/T-Mobile-G2-Monaco-Aluminum-Case-Silver-Open-Screen-Design.html
Thats the silver one, there you can see the long mechanism a bit better, so from the looks of it, you can still open it.
Ohh I didn't see that shot great gonna order one

Could you let us/me know how it is? It looks rather interesting
Definitely looking forward to an XDA member's review on this with better pics!
Once I get it pics and review will be up i really just want something easier to take on an off then the ones that tmobile has cause I use a case for work which is painting, and the tmobile cases felt like i would screw the phone up taking them on and off alot.
I am very interested in this case as well and will probably order. I found a different seller on eBay selling this case, link below. It includes more pictures as well.
http://cgi.ebay.com/T-Mobile-G2-Mon...Accessories&hash=item256083857c#ht_1724wt_983
Also found this retailer that has a video of it, looks slightly bulky.

Well a lot of people around here are looking for that. Something to lock the keyboard in place during normal day to day use. That way it isn't opening in your pocket and stuff like that.

Yea that works out for them but it means im still on the hunt >>
I agree in theory you shouldn't have to need this case. But if you are like me, my phone hinge is loose and it feels wobbly to even text. So if this case can hold the goods together securely then it looks like its worth it.
Just ordered one. Let's see if its better then the otterbox.

Looks sturdy. The added bulk keeps me away though.
I agree, I am worried about the excess bulkiness. Looks like a brick! All my friends have iPhone 4's so I dont want to pull out something looking a decade old! However pics and youtube videos can be deceiving. The G2 is a beautiful phone and doesnt seem to show scratches easy. I too have the loose hinge and like I said in a previous post, scotch tape on the sides is the best answer!

Agreed. I always find myself buying cases for all of my devices. 2 weeks later i end up ditching them going back to naked. right now i just have the stealthguards full body protector on which is excellent even for 10$. I, for one, hate the g2's keyboard, however, its one of the best ones out thus far. (if that makes any sense)
Anybody who ordered this case received it yet? Ordered mine on the 17th and still hasn't arrived....

DO NOT ORDER. Took forever to come and the case is complete crap. Finish sucks. Build sucks. Overall suck

Heres a link: http://store.androidcentral.com/clingo-universal-vent-mount/3A78A8427.htm
Looks cool but does it actually work? Does anyone have any experience with these type of mounts?
Thanks everyone!
Haven't tried that one, but this one looks pretty similar and got a great review (though it's not available yet).

This one also looks really cool I think.

(you gotta add the www's to the front of the links, since I can't post links yet)
They have a suction cup one of these too that I meant to get for my Vibrant. I always looked in the cell section of stores like best buy when I was there, but never took the time to order from amazon. They get great reviews everywhere I looked.
I got an OEM one for the G2X and it works very well. I love that it has a sensor to put the phone into car mode automatically when docking. I know thats not new but after buying 3 flagship phones this is the first one that actually has this feature.
I guess the big advantage to the clingo is you can use it with a case.

This looks really cool too! I might pick it up for watching video at the poker table and as a bedside stand. I seriously doubt most people will be toting it around and reconfiguring it for each and every task throughout the day as their video suggests. Maybe I'm just not cool enough to own one yet, those people all looked pretty cool...
The Clingo stuff works really well actually. Leaves no sticky residue and if you start losing stick (after about 3 weeks), just use a lint free cloth and water to clean the surface and the sticky comes right back.
I only got rid of my Clingo for the one that mounts into your CD player slot.
there's a comment about the oona suction cup won't work well with the g2x because of the google strip on the back cover. anyone tried any type of suction cup with this phone before? i don't have one to try.

I'm hoping it will work with the TPU case which is pretty flat and seems pretty sticky. Anybody have experience with small suction cups and TPU cases?

I ordered one of these... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050ISVW6 It should be here next week.
Looks like this one has a ridge or a raised hood-scoop looking stripe down the back so I dunno if it's gunna work.
I'll post again after I get it.
I was wondering what my options are for a rugged case. I've seen so many for the iPad, but not a single one for the TF700, can anyone point me to a few?

Do you want a case that you carry your tablet in or something that surrounds the tablet it self from drops and bumps? Because I have recommendations for both! IMO they both are top of the line!
Gumdrop makes some good cases. I don't know if they are rugged enough though. If you're planning on really taking it somewhere where this is going to happen (and its a must have, etc) you might be able to get one specially made.
I was thinking a case that surrounds it like the gum drop. Plan B would be something similar to an in case sleeve

Right now I do not have anything around the tablet! I put in a pre-order for a gumdrop case! It's kinda pricy At $60 but I want my daughter to be able to use it without me worrying whether or not she's going to drop it or god knows what! She's 8 and somewhat careful but I have not let her use it yet for the fear of it getting dropped. All the reading I have done about other tablets that use the gumdrop have been really good so thats kinda how I base my judgement on. 99.5% of the time I am right because I do all the research before I buy cause I hate getting took to the cleaners. BTW the gumdrop is in pre-order and it is supposed to ship in October per their web site. Here is the link http://www.gumdropcases.com/dt-asus-tf-700.html

They look really rugged to me! I'm not going mountain climbing with it...lol! Plus I have read about other people that use it on other tabs and they seem to be pretty happy for the most part! It's definitely good for home use and taking it outside in the yard and such and letting an 8 year old girl use it ! It looks to me like they made it out of a tire its got tread on it lol!

right lol, really rugged!!!
i think the protection is good, but would like something a bit more calm, like a simply thick gel casing to protect the edges and back, not too much to ask and not sure why there arent plenty available!!

Because it's not an Apple iPad
Looking for a SLIM case that doesn't cover the entire phone, like my current case : http://www.amazon.ca/Duzign-Mirage-Black-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00BITDH66
By the way, all the photos of cases that don't cover the chrome completely are always while and don't look as good as it does with a black phone IMO.
Anyhow, i'm looking for a case that's slim, doesn't cover the phone all around (leaves the top and bottom chrome exposed) and has a kickstand.
Not sure where to look other than amazon, but don't know how best to search. If you see one, or know of one, please reply.
thanks,

Anyone using Pop Sockets for the v10 they're a life saver for people with tiny hands lol but also since the phone is a bit heavy this is useful for anyone!!! Got mine at TMOBILE but they're cheaper on the website! You can even make custom ones

Pretty interesting product. I like the fact that they seem to lay a little flatter than the FlyGrip. I'd definitely pick up the case with the sockets integrated into it but they don't seem to offer one for our phone.

I like that it's reusable and can be moved around wherever you want
I have it pretty much in the middle of the phone's back in the outside of my phone case which saved me from having to buy a new case since it also functions as a viewing stand! Neat little gadget for bigger devices and tiny hands

The girl who waited on me when I was buying my v10 was using one on her phone and really liked it.
I was tempted but since I already had my flygrip I decided to save the 14.99 (for a 2 pack in store)
If they had been selling 1 for $7 I probably would have bought it!
It's really the first time I've seen one of this type of product available in store vs online. It's about time!
Glad to hear it's working for you and that it's available with different options online.
Now I have another choice if I want something new!

+1...sounds like a great idea but im wondering how well it will stick to the v10
I'm pretty sure it's just using the 3m adhesive which is the same thing my flygrip uses. No problems here. It's stuck on nice and tight.

It should work fine either way mine is functioning fine on my case and you can move it around whenever you want
I picked one up from Amazon while Christmas shopping. I had never heard of them before seeing this thread a few weeks ago.
I have to say, it's an awesome product. Works great as a stand while watching videos, and really helps in handling such a large device. Hitting the second screen with one hand is easy now.

No one has/had any issues with it detaching from the back of our wafflesque surface phones? I like the product and could see using it, but I'm looking for confirmation that it worked on a stock phone without a case.
Thanks in advance for replies.
I have used one on my phone without a case. It worked great. I took it off when I added a Spigen case and have been too lazy to put it back on. My wife is very small and she loves it on her Samsung S3 phone. And yes you can take them off and reuse them over and over. Nice invention.
