SONY XPERIA MIRO (ST23I) GONE BLACK !!!
Hi MR./MASTER./MRS
My phone just stopped after installing 'Jelly Bean Mini Project ROM'. I flashed from ext SD, but ended in bricking it. Now I cant use my phone.
Only Black screen ,vibrate when I press power button AND tuning between Green LED and Blue LED can be done any time
Now when I try to flash the phone with official (ftf) firmware with flashboot, the error says:
" 30/016/2014 19:16:40 - ERROR - Drivers need to be installed for connected device.
30/016/2014 19:16:40 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool."
I'm sure that I hv installed as it says, but still the error shows up.
P.S I have done nothing with Bootloader
Picture of FLASHTOOL error saying and SONY XPERIA MIRO connected is in attachment.
What am I suppose to do?
A BIG THANKS FOR HELPERS!!

Download Sony PC Companion .
Connect your phone in firmware flashing mode.
it will automatically install the required drivers.
And make sure to put the firmware ftf file into the folder named 'firmwares' of flashtool.
Please press the thanks button on the bottom right corner of this post if I helped you.

Don't worry, Your phone is not hard bricked. As you mentioned that on starting , phone is vibrating that means there are chances to recover your phone.
1.First go through this guide :Using Flashtool
2.Download your current stock firmware . Visit this: Miro all official firmwares
3.Install proper drivers as mentioned in the above 1.flashtool guide.
4.Flash the firmware for your phone , according to the above 1. Flastool guide.
5.Wait untill flashing completes. start your device when you are told to do so.
Good luck

[Solved] Hard bricked my Xperia J...

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I've tried to update my Xperia J to the new Jelly Bean firmware, but before that, I've done a full wipe and format system and cache through CWM. After that, I reboot my phone and it never goes after the Sony logo. I've tried to repair it with PC Companion, SUS and Flashtool, but everytime it starts to flash new Rom, the green led goes off and nothing is done.
Is there any solution for this, or should I go to the store and pray that it isn't to expensive to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Re: [Help] Hard bricked my Xperia J...
Its not hard bricked. Its really normal for green light to go off while flashing ftf.Just wait for the flashtool to complete preparing files and then connect your phone in flash mode(green led) after the prompt appears. It will instantly start the flashing process (and yes, the green led goes off as soon as flashing starts so dont worry).
You may also experience a strange problem where the flashtool gets stuck at 0 percent. You can fix that by trying some older version of flashtool.
Good luck

Thanks a lot for your help, I'm really getting stucked at 0 percent at Flashtool. I canĀ“t even repair it with PC Companion, that's why I was afraid that is was an hard brick. I'm going to try with an older version of Flashtool as you've said.
Thanks again.
EDIT: I've tried with an older version of Flashtool and still no luck, always getting stucked at 0 percent. I read somewhere that my problem must be that my phone at this moment don't have any operating system and that probably I couldn't fix it at home. Is this true or is there something more I can do?
Re: [Help] Hard bricked my Xperia J...
Well i used to get this problem with my flashtool.Installing an older version did the trick for me.You can try flashing from some other system

Re: [Help] Hard bricked my Xperia J...
If you got unlocked bootloader then you can fastboot flash fxp kernel followed by the rom itself. This will atleast make your device functional again.

Unfortunately my bootloader is locked.
I will try again, but this time on my computer here at work.
EDIT: Still no luck in another computer. I guess I will need to go to Vodafone Store at the end of the day and see what they can do with my phone.
Good news!!
I've installed PC Companion here on my work computer and it repaired my phone. Probably there's some kind of problem with my computer at home. I'm already flashing Jelly Bean normally with flashtool.
Thanks a lot for your help balboarocky.
Use Flashtool for this

Try flashing the stock rom, it worked for me!!!!!!
the same thing hapenned to me too
Okay so I seem to have soft bricked my Xperia J too
Only this time I can't seem to get into Flash mode or Recovery mode!
Holding/Pressing Vol+ doesn't bring up the blue LED and the phone doesn't vibrate at all.
Likewise for Vol+. Nothing happens and the phone remains stuck on the Sony boot logo.
Any idea what I could do? (USB isn't recognised on PC either so I can't connect that way.)
Edit: Okay scratch that, randomly button mashing Volume DOWN seemed to work for me. Only took about 50 or so reboots
Sony`s PC Companion can repair Boot Up problems after CWM install faild
Just watch this video on youtube and follow exactly the description on your PC Companion. Just search for this video on youtube "How to fix a (soft) bricked Sony Xperia Play( any Xperia )EASY METHOD, when stuck on the Sony logo"
Wanted to post the Link but it`s not allowed before posted at last ten contributions - sorry for that (XDA rules!)
This will fix all Xperia Models - it works so easy and pretty fast (about 20 minutes) and after that you have a phone just like brand new from the dealer with the latest software rolled out for your device in your country - sweet
Pls help me S1 fastboot prblm

Try this first :
Open Sony PC Companion, and select the very first option (Support Zone), then the last option (Repair device) and there select Xperia C (do not connect your phone until here), now after selecting Xperia C when PC Companion asks you to connect your device, now connect your device and make sure you are continuously pressing the Volume Down Key (it will come written there and pics will also be there) and then wait till it detects your device. Then PC Companion will repair your device.
If this does not help then try method given on THIS thread.
If nothing helps then you have to go to Service Centre.
Connect your phone to the computer, Reboot into CWM , then in advanced, select mount USB. thats it.
Or just use a card reader and place the rom in ur SD card.

Sony xperia z5 bricked (video included)

Hello xda it's my first post here
Recently i tried to install on my xperia z5 android 6 by following these steps from the link below:
http ://xperiafirmware.com /8-firmware/108-sony-xperia-z3-e6553 (delete space after http)
In detail, after downloaded Android 6.0 - firmware 32.1.A.1.185 i tried to install it into phone from flashmode with flashtool as tutorial shows.
In flashtool after:
"processing system.sin
Checking header
Flashing data"
the program stacked there the green bar didn't load at all and after 6 hours passed it popes up an error message and phone's disconnected.
After that the phone is acting like video below(rebooting all the time and says "software update fail make sure your phone is connected to computer and try again" )
https ://www .youtube.com/watch?v=Ou0v0ifxzZk (delete space after https and after www)
Any suggestions what's going on ? Is there any way i can fix it?

Your given link shows that you have installed Z3+ fw.
Try to download your model FTF and then flash it with flashtool again.
hi, i was in the same trouble before, i was sacaried with my new super expensive brick jajaja, but i found the solution, just try to flash the generic fimeware and marking all de wipe marks in flash tool, after few attempts it flash the rom and i can enter the phone, if you see the green bar doesn't began to go just desconect your phone and try it again. I solve it in my 4th atempt

I have the exact same problem, only it won't do anything when I press the volume down and connect it to the pc. Flashtool won't detect the device. Does anybody have an idea?

Xperia Xa sony emma update firmware

Hello everyone, I hope someone can help me.
I recently unlocked the bootloader from my Xperia Xa F3111 ( I followed the official metod and everthing went smooth )
But i didn't knew that doing that I couldn't update my phone firmware anymore. ( using Xperia companion or software update option on my phone )
So i tried using sony emma. Sony says that Xperia Xa is supported but for some reason it doesn't recognise my phone.
This is what I did affter the install, I put the customization file in emmas folder, I disabled my antivirus and firewall , I run emma as administrator , pressing the volume down key I connect the phone to my pc and then while emma is trying to identify my phone im prompt whit an unknow model picker , if i scrolled down the list it isn't listed my phone model. and if i cancel the prompt it recognizes my phone but also gives me an error triangle saying no available services available to your phone and on the left panel another small triangle under status saying service execution was aborted . Any ideas please ?? Thank you
