I have successfully Ported Philz Touch Recovery to our Gionee Elife E3 device.
All credits goes to Master yuweng for the simple and easy instruction to build it.

Instructions:
* Download Philz Touch Recovery.img
* Replace it in the Rom downloaded from Gionee.co.in/gcafe file of Kitkat
* open spflash tool
* open Scatter loading
* Select MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
* uncheck every thing except Recovery
* click Download
* Turn off ur device
*connect ur device(Gionee E3) with usb cable given by Gionee.
*wait for 'Ok" message.
*disconnect and reboot ur device.

Instructions for flashing in your phone:
1.Download the recovery and Put it in root of your SDCARD
2.Open Mobile uncle tools and select Recovery Update
3.Flash recovery file
4.Done
Instructions For getting Aroma File manager in CTR
1.Download the flashable zip from here
2.Extract to root of your SD card
3.Next boot into recovery goto Carliv option and Choose Aroma File manager
Instructions for flashing using SP Flash Tools:
1. Install drivers for your phone using SPICE MI 535 Driver.
2. Extract the Stock ROM folder and replace recovery.img with cwm recovery.
3. Extract and open the SP Flash Tools.
4. In SP Flash Tools, click on Scatter-Loading and the program will ask you the location of the scatter loading file for your device select mt6589 scatter file.txt
5.Check only recovery.img, preloader and uncheck all others.
6. Switch off your phone (Remove the battery to make sure it is switched off).
7. In Flash Tool, go to Options and Click USB Mode so that it is enabled. Click options again and then go to DA Download All > Speed and finally select High Speed.
8. Click the Download option (present on the right of Firmware
> Upgrade option) and the flash tool will start looking for your phone.
9. Connect your phone now. The Flash Tool will start the flashing process, the progress of which can be viewed from a yellow progress bar at the bottom of the flash tool.
Warning 1 - Don't interrupt this process as it can potentially brick your device.
Warning 2 - Make sure no power interruption takes place. (Use a laptop to ensure this).
10. After the process completes, a green ring will appear on your device signalling that the process was successful.
11.Disconnect your phone.

I know. That's the reason I made all these (guide, ported resolutions, and so on) to help as many people as I can, to get a custom touch recovery in their phones. But is not very easy to accept to be removed from your work.
It's ok now that you added proper credits.

* Follow the instruction and reboot.....

Yes you can use this recovery for KitKat firmware. You have to flash it with spflashtools.
I don't think the battery drop issue is because of recovery.
My experience says otherwise as whenever i have tried normal custom cwm recovery i have had these battery drop problem but with carliv and original or cwm made by rua1 roottools i never faced that problem anyways i will flash this. Though no longer using this mobile but will keep as backup

How to Install:
Step 1. To get started you need a TWRP recovery. Here is the guide to root Symphony i10 and Install TWRP. If you already done that, then leave this step and follow the step 2.
Step 2. Download Leagoo OS For i10 zip file here and save the file on your phone’s internal memory
Step 3 : Download SuperSU V2.76 and keep in internal memory.
Step 4. Once all Zip files are saved on your phone. Boot your i10 into TWRP Recovery Mode. To do this Turn off your phone and Turn on the phone while holding Power and Volume UP buttons.
Step 5. From the TWRP recovery main menu, Go to Wipe and select "Data", "System", "dalvik" and "Cache". Now Swipe to Wipe, This will wipe your ROM System.
Step 6. Now go back to main menu of recovery and go to Install and find the zip files you saved on your Symphony i10 Internal memory.
Step 7. From here, Select the Leagoo OS For i10 zip file that you downloaded on step 2, after that select Add more zips option and select SuperSU > Swipe to flash.
Step 8. Wait for the flash to finish and press Wipe Cache & Dalvik.
Step 9. Press Back and press Reboot System. First boot will take some time, wait for 10-15 minutes to apply the CM 13 update on your phone.

but neither of them worked.
can u just port this recovery to my device.
i'll send u the stock boot.img and recovery.img of my device.

Part One: Installing drivers
1. Extract the driver file.
2. Run dpinst.exe . Note that "x86" folder is for 32-bit computer while "amd64" is for 64-bit computer
3. We have to verify if the driver is installed, right-click on My Computer(WinXP)/Computer(Win7)/This PC(Win8) then Manage>Device Manager
4. Turn off your phone and remove the battery then insert back the battery again.
5. We have to first detect the phone to PC if its driver is working. Plug in the micro USB cord to your phone first but don't connect the USB cord to PC itself.
6. Timing is important! Hold volume down then immediately plug in the USB cord to your PC.
7. A poped-up notification appear to show if the drivers are successfully installed.
8. You may now remove the USB cord to the PC if success but don't remove yet the micro USB cord to your phone.
9. Now, we are ready to use Research Download!
Part Two: Using Research Download
1. Extract Research Download file
2. Extract your downloaded stock ROM file
3. Run ResearchDownload.exe
4. Click the first gear button. This will open up a browse menu. Use this to locate your .PAC file then click "Open" button.
5. Once the PAC file is loaded click play button .
6.Connect your Starmobile Play Click (while holding volume down)
7.You should see in research download that it has started flashing! (you can let go of the volume key now). When it is finished just press the stop button and disconnect your phone!

How to install
- Download Sp Flash tool.zip and [Hovatek] TWRP for Gionee M5.zip
- Unzip Sp flash tool and Hovatek TWRP for Gionee M5.zip
- Download Copy miui_v9.2.2.0beta_gionne m5.zip rom on phone external memory card
- Execute flash_tool.exe in sp flash folder and click on choose at scatter section
- Locate scatter file in Hovatek] TWRP for Gionee M5 folder and clic ok
- Now clic on daowload button
- Power off your phone and connect it via USB cable
- Wait sp flash progress finish
- Disconnect the phone and long press on power and volume up button to boot on TWRP
- wipe data and system
- Clic install and chose external memory to locate your rom
- Choose the rom and , slide install and wait the progerss bar finish
- Reboot and wait about 10-15mn
- Enjoy miui features-
