I thought I share this experience, 'cause I don't found anything solbing my issue...
When getting my opo I unlocked bootloader, flashed twrp-2.8.1.0, flashed homebuild cm11 and cm11s apks for cm11.
Everything worked perfectly. First I thought wifi 802.11ac is slow, but then I realized it's only esexplorers cifs implementation that doesn't played well - scp on commandline gave my about 15Mb/s netto. So everything was perfect and I started condiguring.
Suddendly I lost gps: not only the fix was gone, but there was no single sattelite... Rebooting: no change. Switching location service off, waiting an hour and switching it on again fixed it - untill next screen lock-unlock-cycle:mgps gone again. When gps was running and screen was on (navigation in car) it worked perfectly - but when turning screen on, gps was gone. Tries playing with NTP_SEERVER to no advance. Was just before RMAing my opo.
I have chronus as custom lockscreen widget (cause I like the colored calender markers and like to use weatherunderground as weathermservice), and I have saved the configuration on my former phone (s3) copied to opo and restored in chronus on opo. And this breaked my gps: after deinstalling chronus and usimg lockclock in the same config (with yahoo, 'cause there is no wu in lockclock) I have no lost gps anymore.
BTW: using wu-widget on homescreen does not harm gps.
Maybe it helps someone.

I'm having a strange issue with my HW keyboard.
The keyboard is working fine most of the time. But there are moments it doesn't respond (ones a week).
Example: When I open the keyboard and start writing a mail it's working fine. But after two rows text it's just not reacting anymore. Even the keyboard-backlight is turning off.
When I close and reopen the keyboard it's still not working. Even the keyboard-backlight stays off after pressing any hardware button.
Solution: Wait for 15minutes.
Tried fixes for HW keyboard lag without success.
This is what I have:
T-mobile NL rom
Rom: 1.69.114.6 NLD
Radio: 1.02.25.19
Is there anyone else experience this issue with a T-mobile ROM?
Or is there a fix for this.
Thanks in advance
Assume you have WiFi on? Go into the WiFi settings and the power mode of the WiFi, if it is set to best performance change it to best battery, or do the opposite. Not 100% sure why this works but its something to do with power and comms interferance.
Mmm have seen this fix before in other threads.
Somehow i'm losing network connection when I switch the energie bar to someting else then "Best performance". Think it have something to do with my old wireless router. Will test this today on my work. Thank Gav_
Hi there,
I have seen a simular issue on my Touch Pro as well - Keyboard is not responding as soon wifi is turned on manually.
I have encountered this first while using IM (Beejive and also QIP). Having data connections turned on and activating wifi while data connections are on will stop the keyboard from responding.
Solution for me is to turn off either the data connection after turning on wifi and / or switching wifi on/off two times.
I use the stock rom and wifi energy option is set to best battery. Is this a known issue that the keyboard has glitches with wifi?
Rom: 1.90.407.4 GER
Radio: 1.02.25.19
Performence bar
Changed the energie bar a few times yesterday. To test on which position this issue appears.
And guess what?
Keyboard stopped responding when the bar was placed on the "best performance" position.
I've configureerd it to "best battery" (think this is the name, I'm having the Dutch Rom )
Still don't understand what Wifi have to do with the keyboard. Is WM using the same driver to start / stop Wifi or keyboard?
Anyway I think/hope it's solved by setting the performance bar to "best battery".
Thanks guys
still have issues with hw keyboard
I have an unsolved Issue with the Hardware Keyboard of my HTC Fuze.
When i turn on the Wifi, the HQ keyboard becomes totally unresponsive and unusable. Keyboard lights turned off, and i have to Reset or turn off the Wifi in order to get the Keyboard back to function. (it back to life after couple of minutes)
I have searched for any possible solution in the forum and google without luck
i have tried all fixes i have found in this forum so far:
-modify the up/down repeat rate
-disabling t9/cleartype
-adjusting wifi to middle, better battery and better performance
-RR Keyboard Speed Increase.cab
After all this attempts, my Keyboard still tend to die. Anyway it works well with the Data Plan, with no Lag at all. So is definitely a Wifi Issue.
Hardware keyboard Not working for Htc touch pro
Hi, My HTC touch pro slid out keyboard was working fine but after updating ROM to English it had stop working. can anyone tell me what is the problem?
I've been having intermittent keyboard issues for a while. Sometimes it won't respond until a sort reset while other times it'll just suddenly start working again. I had no idea it was a WiFi related issue. My Kaiser did the same sometimes.
Now the damn spacebar is playing up. It either identifies a press as two spaces requiring the use of the delete key every time or it just won't recognise key presses. It's infuriating. Anyone come across this before or will it require a manual (warranty) fix?
keyboard issues
I had issues with my keyboard stopping intermittently it would work sometimes and not others. It would rotate screen when I popped it out then it wouldnt type and a few seconds later the backlight on the kbd would go out. I flashed to a different rom and that helped sometimes but not others. Then right before going to sprint and asking for a replacement I flashed back to their stock rom for a week, still no kbd. But magically when I re-locked the phone the keyboard is back to normal.. still had the phone swapped out just incase it was something else. I hardly ever use the wifi so I don't think that was my issue, it was off the whole time I had the issue. New phone works great.

Just noticed this:
update-cm-7.2.0-RC2-smb_a1002-signed.zip
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=smb_a1002&type=RC
Anybody try it yet?
I'm still on a 1.1 Recovery, but that should not be a problem for this ROM right?
Post if you install and the success you have please. Thanks - Dan
CM7
I am running CM7.1.0.1 i am afraid to change roms due to lack of success with past flashes. I am pretty much outdated on my rom but it doesn't seem like developers are producing a lot of this particular tablet....or maybe its just me. Are any of you guys rocking a must have ROM for the tablet. I am also running into issues where i'll have to reset my tablet to access wifi. It'll freeze between screens when I enter my wireless settings. If you want me to i'll back everthing up using TB and Nandroid and try this new one if no one wants to take the plunge!
OK, I've installed it. Here's my review:
Upgrade Details:
Viewsonic G-Tablet - 1.1 Bootloader
Clockwork Recovery newly from latest ROM Manager (5.0.0.6)
Previous ROM - Official CyanogenMod 7.1.0.1
Method:
Reboot into Recovery - Wiped/Deleted/Formatted/Erased/Reset to Factory Defaults - Everything I could.
Re-partitioned 2048/0, even though I think it was that way already.
Wiped/Deleted/Formatted/Erased/Reset to Factory Defaults - Everything I could - again - and then again - a few more times, and then once again.
In case you are not comprehending the subtly of the above, let me clarify: I was trying to do a clean install.
Installed 7.2.0 RC2 from link in first post of thread.
Did NOT install Gapps, Sound Fix, Camera Fix or do any Market fix.
Observations:
- The 7.1.0.1 Bug of not having WiFi turned on upon reboot is fixed.
- WiFi Seems to connect more quickly/reliably than 7.1.0.1 - Probably (should) has DHCP bug fixed.
- Seems to have it's own audio fix. Multimedia Volume appears momentarily after boot, and sound seems to work (mostly) fine.
- DPI is set low for me -- I'll have to mess with build.prop
- Camera Works - Orientation seems correct, Snapped picture was clear, and there are more camera settings.
- There is no DSP Manager.
- In CyangenMod settings -- if you enable Screen-off Animation (Twilight Zone effect), it won't wake from a manual sleep.
- Still has problem of dockbar (not notification bar) disappearing, and I do not know how to get it back. Have to place an open/close app draw Icon on the home screens.
- Web Browser stability/speed seems better than 7.1.0.1 - This may be as much because of the wipe as anything else.
- I installed the Google Apps via the run-once market fetcher. This worked well with the exception of Google Maps:
- Current Google Maps causes almost immediate *bad* crash back to the Cyanogen Spinning arrow, and it stays there. I have to force a full reboot by power cycling. Will need to downgrade to a Maps 5.x.x I have on an SD Card someplace.
- Not sure whats up with Google Talk - Camera works for an instant, but seems to freeze, no audio. Google Talk does not seem to be in the Market, This Google Talk was in the ROM.
- Market Updated to Play automatically. Works fine. Most apps seem to be there.
- Some YouTube HQ videos still only play with HQ off. While messing with this, at some point I lost audio, and had to do the headphones in-out to get speaker audio back.
- 3D Tegra optimized game worked well with good frame rates. (Ground Effect XHD)
Look:
Definitely good ole' Gingerbread - Very few cosmetic changes from 7.1.0.1 - No CM9/Honeycomb look/icons or wallpapers. A few new Cyanogen wall papers that were not in 7.1.0.1
Skype
Just curious if you have tried Skype and the results.

Sorry, but I do not use Skype.
I'll try a standard SIP client, and report back.
Now, with a Little more time on it, I can report that it is a perfectly useable ROM. I have not seen anything that would be a show stopper, or prevent this from being a release.
WiFi is definitely improved, and I would recommend it as an upgrade from 7.1.0.1.
Now an official CM9 would be better, but until then, 7.2 will keep me from feeling like I need to buy a new tablet for a while.
RC 3 out
I came over from Flashlight. CM7.2 rc3 works very well. Only issue I have is some video resolutions act like there is no sync, just get wavy lines.
Looking at the changes, which can be found here:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_malata_smb_a1002
It does not look like much has changed from RC2 to RC3. (Which is a good thing, since by RC3, we should be getting pretty close to a release). Just some build stuff which probably does not effect the packaged ROM at all.
So I have not upgraded from RC2 to RC3.
I also get the diagonal lines in Youtube videos for some settings.
Only the fairly low resolutions seem to work at all.
Hello
I have a HTC HD2 flashed with ParanoidAndroid 1.5b. I was trying to run the Sygic GPS navigator but it crashes after a while with ICS. This is not a problem with the ROM but with the application. So far so good. However, I found out that since the application opened the GPS to try to get a fix, when it crashed it left the GPS "on" (although the icon on the status bar disappeared after a while). I tried another GPS navigation program but it couldn't get a fix. I thought it was the GPS configuration, so I changed it to reflect my region (Europe, Greece). But to no avail. Whatever I tried, I couldn't get a fix. I rebooted the device and tried GPS status, it got a fix after a minute or so. If I run Sygic (which crashes) again, it is impossible to get a GPS fix afterwards. If an application that uses the GPS crashes while the GPS is on, it leaves the sensor working. However, there is no indication that there is a problem, as the icon disappears after a while, and gets back on when another app tries to use the sensor. It just can't get a fix. What's more, the battery starts to drain after that (easy to spot with Current Widget, since the draw goes from 6-7mAh to 105-107mAh)
Switching the GPS on and off (from the notification drawer) does not fix the problem. The only solution is to reset the device.
My question (finally) is: is there another solution to "resetting" the sensor to its original (after the boot) state?
Best regards
George
Hey All,
You guys are the experts so, if I'm being stupid just tell me. Here is my issue/question:
I noticed in late august/early september 2014 that my phone is starting to skip when I stream bluetooth music over to my truck through the Google Play Music app. This happens on any vehicle that I pair with and I am confused. I have two other issues that may be related so I'll list them next but, for now, here is what I've tried to fix the music issue.
-Removed external sd card
-turned off wifi
-turned off gps
-re-synced bluetooth
-factory reset and/or installed new rom and/or upgraded firmware(several times for each)
The next issue is screen lag. The lag issue, to my novice brain, seems like it could also be affecting the music playback which is why i'm including it in this post. It's most noticeable in games but I also notice when scrolling through screens in settings, webpages, text messages, etc. It's a small skip that usually corrects itself within a half a second or less. I have not found any times or circumstances when it is more or less prevalent.
Lastly, while trying to eliminate other possible causes I've tried troubleshooting display issues such as my auto-rotate. I have the auto-rotate feature turned on, and I have re-calibrated my g-sensor. Regardless, I have no auto-rotate whatsoever. I have run this phone in safe mode to no avail, still no auto-rotate. This is true 100% of the time and not just on "some" applications. Possibly related: I can't figure out how to turn off motion launch gestures. I uncheck the box, and anything that may have something to do with motion launch such as media gestures but, no dice.

Hello, I have a very annoying bug on my phone. When I turn off the screen, GPS will signal is lost. I recently got a Mi Band and I record my workouts, but I can't use GPS because of this.
I tried setting the Mi Fit app to have no restrictions in the settings, turning off battery saver, using a maps to keep GPS on (that actually worked once, but only once), but none of them worked...
If someone got a fix for this, please tell me.
Ok, so it magically started working.
I don't think there's a fix for this.
I'll try installing a custom ROM.
