Hey guys I'm a newbie here. I was just wondering if the G Pro 2 would work in Canada. I'm kind of confused because I've seen many sites and each site gives different different cellular frequencies and I'm not really sure if voice/data would work here. Just FYI, I'm with Fido which is under Rogers; 2G-3G and fake 4G = 850mhz/1900mhz. LTE/4G+ = 2100/2600. Thank you in advance!

I think this is something that you need to consult in the telecom carrier.

I am with Bell with f350s, I can only get 3G. I setup bell apn, and choose prefer lte in setting, still can only get 3g connection.
Update: While walking downtown Toronto, pickup the lte signal. So I can confirm it works for both lte and 3g network on Bell
Hello,
I have a Verizon M8 that i'm using with AT&T. Is there a way to convert my Verizon M8 to AT&T so that I can get LTE? Or can I at least flash the AT&T radio? I noticed this video shows a method for converting Verizon M8 to Tmobile https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GhybCyd4Pg He is getting Tmobile LTE with Verizon M8 no problem.
If someone can point me in the right direction that would be great!
This phone doesn't have the bands for At&t LTE. Best you would get is HSPA+.

Yes I know it doesn't have compatible bands for AT&T LTE. It doesn't have compatible bands for Tmobile LTE either, but someone demonstrated how to convert it so now he's using the Verizon M8 and is able to get Tmobile LTE without a problem. So there seems to be a way.
I figured it out. For anyone else out there that has a Verizon M8 and are using it on AT&T, you can convert your phone to the AT&T variant. I'm getting LTE but not constantly, it switches between LTE and HSDPA but it's staying mostly on LTE. Yay!

Hey there. I posted how I did it somewhere in the AT&T forum. I'm not sure where the post is though as it's been a few months and I don't have the M8 anymore. I sold it and bought a One Plus One, then sold that and bought a Note 4, so that was a couple of phones ago.
hi
im trying to find a way to enable/disable bands ob the verizon m8.

Why would you want to disable an LTE band?

cuz im trying to understand why i cant use 1800mhz (band3) on my verizon m8.
i live outside the u.s
would s-offing a sprint a9 and converting it to unlocked version or at&t sim unlock my sprint a9 to use with at&t network?
No, you won't get LTE because the bands are different on the Sprint model.

I checked on the site Captain Throwback linked and though LTE will not work on the AT&T network, it looks like it will on the T-Mobile network. So maybe go that route.

Is it possible to flash a s-off Sprint A9 with firmware that will enable band 17, or is the HW completely different?
Hello.
Anyone have one and can help me? I cannot get LTE on Tmobile no matter what APN settings I use. I know I have LTE here so I know it's not the band.
Thanks.
flash tmobile firmware on it

Yeah don't listen to this guy. The F model is exynos correct? That means no Tmobile software.
The F model you bought might be region locked so it may not work in the USA right now without unlocking it. I know there have been other threads about this not sure if a solution has been found or not.

Yeah I was not listening to him cause this isn't my first rodeo. I bought it region unlocked. Do we know if band 12 is supported if the F or FD?

i have the 955FD model and it works just fine with T-Mobile USA. did you call T-Mobile to ensure your account is provisioned for LTE access? (I assume you're in the USA). where did you purchase your 955F model S8+?

Hey Cortez. Good to hear this as I have the FD as well. Bought it on eBay from a trusted seller and it is region unlocked. I have LTE provisioned. So...i have "4G" and not 4G+ although I have seen both. What do you show and what band are you on?

4G = LTE. Go to SETTINGS>ABOUT PHONE>STATUS>SIM CARD STATUS and you should see LTE under Mobile network type. that's how i determine LTE access... there's also an app name LTE Discovery that can be used to determine which band you're using. by the way, i believe 4G+ is LTE-A, or carrier aggregation, which is faster than standard LTE..

not sure... i do know that when i use my T-Mo SIM (vs ATT) calls are super clear. i'm using my ATT account at the moment because i'm tethering my laptop and TIDAL HiFi music in my car. (my monthly data allowance with ATT is 100GB + rollover).

If it drops to H/H+ then you don't have VoLTE. If it stays 4G then you have VoLTE.

It should be if band 12 is supported. VoLTE is software driven also so maybe a custom ROM will add it in. Waiting...

Wouldn't matter on band support. VOLTE should work on all supported LTE bands for T-Mobile. If it drops to H then that means there is not VOLTE support for T-Mobile.

It should be using the Tmobile csc to get Volte support..
I have US and international version, US version supports Volta same sim not supporting in international version... Problem is due to the Csc configured to the international version won't support Tmobile Volta..
Unless we have success in flashing tmobile Csc it won't work same as WiFi calling

Goes back to what I said. Wouldn't matter the band. If the support isn't there which as you pointed out it doesn't support the CSC.

whoops lol. Forgot if F or FD variants of the S8+ uses Exynos 8895, and U.S. models use Snapdragon 835.
