i am flashing the stock rom again and again even though i am not getting wifi(the wifi is not turning on) also the mobile hotspot......
please help me i am facing this problem since 2 months
my device: XT1033(Asia retail)

When flashing the stock ROM are you also reflashing the stock kernel that goes with that ROM version? If the ROM image doesn't have the right kernel modules for the boot.img you are running your WiFi will not work at all.

No Mobile Data on Moto G XT1033 using latest Nightly Build of CM11

Hello guys a complete noob here, have flashed the latest nightly build of cm-11-20140730-NIGHTLY-falcon on my Dual Sim Moto G retail Asia (India), everything seems to work fine except for Mobile Data connection, there seems to be no response while selecting the APN settings or turning mobile data, have read somewhere there was an issue, wish I had read it earlier.
So is there a work around for turning on mobile data on cm11 nightly builds for xt1033 on Indian networks ?
Or is flashing stock rom the only option left ?
Kindly guide me on getting my stock rom back and working.
Thanks in advance !
Try reflashing cm or any other rom....

Reflashed CM ROM thrice, doesnt seem to work, tried reflashing 4.4.2 stock rom, getting an install aborted (expected signature to be 4.3 error) on CMW recovery, my phone came with 4.3 out of the box, so do i have to flash 4.3 stock rom to get my phone back to normal or will 4.4.2 stock rom work ?
Thanks in advance !

[Q] about kernels of moto g [CM12]

i am not overly familiar with many things regarding different kernels and how to work with them, so i was wishing a few questions that i had could be clarified by someone who knows:
1. when a kernel is flashed? i mean except for the times when we flash kernel.zips via recovery, is it flashed whenever we install a custom rom? or is it flashed with bootloaders when we flash firmware?
2. I am using CM12 official nightly and facing camera frizz issues. I came across a post in the official CM12 thread where they said flashing a modified kernel supposedly fixed this problem. Now my question is, after flashing a custom kernel, is there any way to go back to the stock one? by stock i mean either the one i was on right before flashing the custom kernel or stock moto g kernel provided by motorola?
that also begets the question, can kernels be backed up like roms using recovery?

1. The kernel is first flashed when you install a ROM. You are supposed to flash a custom kernel after flashing a ROM otherwise the rom zip will overwrite it. It doesn't matter if you install it in the recovery or the boot loader.
2. To go back to the stock kernel just take it from the zip of the ROM and flash in the bootloader
where can i find the kernel inside the rom zip?
and if i want the stock motorola kernel that comes with factory firmwares
how can i collect that?
A ROM.zip contains the system folder and a boot.img
The kernel is in the boot.img
So if u flash a different kernel and still facing problems then flash the ROM again.

flashing only the boot.img of a rom wont bring back the default kernel?
and is there any way to make a flashable zip of a kernel from that particualr boot.img?cause all the kernels i see (like donkey kang/customized cm12 kernel) there are all distributed in .zip format.....

[RESOLVED] Screen Inverted after Flashing Wrong Kernel

Hello guys
I have flashed Arter Kernel and now my screen is inverted ! I have Wiped all the partition (Data,etc...) and install the Stock Firmware but the problem is still there !
Need Help fast please. (G920F 6.0.1)
Tap quickly on the recents button 4 times.
Your issue should be gone when you flahed Stock Firmware. The inverted Screen comes when you flashed the wrong Kernel (flashing a 920F kernel on a 925F device and vice versa ).

You right, I have flashed 925F, but flash the stock firmware do not resolve the problem.
I have follwed this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/inverted-touch-screen-x-axis-flashing-t3095205
And that works fine ! But I did a clean install for nothing :silly:

Stuck at patching system image unconditionally.

I was running RR rom on my device then i wanted to change to aosp today but while flashing it got stuck at patching system image unconditionally for like an hour so i flashed the stock COS13 via fastboot.
I can flash MM based roms but no Nougat based roms (
EDIT:
I managed to fix my issue. i went back and flashed twrp 2.8.7.0 recovery and then flashed the latest firmware image. that seems to have fixed my issue. successfully flashed jgcaap's cm14.1 rom now <3
What recovery version are you using?
Re-download the zip rom and flash it again...
