Hi All,
I've been using 33R stock and have been using 340 DPI on my System UI (using xposed app settings) and everything is fine. I like having the tablet style notification shade (the one that doesn't cover the whole screen) and usually the notifications resize properly. When I tried updating to 38R, the notifications became huge and didn't fit in the shade. I even tried updating to 44S, and it's also the same. I attached 2 screenshots to show what I mean. Does anyone have any ideas?
Its just the way that DPI is, sadly. Theres not much you can do about it except raise the DPI higher.

Hi,
I'm trying to get a Nexus 7 like UI in my Galaxy Tab 7.7. I have ICS 4.0.4 running on it. I installed Nova Launcher, set it as default, replaced Samsung Keyboard, changed DPI to 213, replaced some other misbehaving Samsung Apps. So far so good. But I would like to further simplify the UI, like in Nexus:
1) Introduce a new bar on the top of screen like Nexus7, move the icons on the right side of bottom navigation bar to top of screen. I need a new bar for this, any idea how can I get it? the notifications shall also start to pop down from top of the screen.
2) Disable mini-apps bar in the middle of bottom navbar. Anyway many of them don't function anymore in 213 DPI and I don't need it anymore.
3) Distribute the remaining navbar icons evenly onto the bottom navbar. Now they are very close to each other on the crowded left side of the bar.
Is this mission impossible? I was eventually using latest CM10 version which was good, but one morning I woke up with a depleted battery and a boot loop. I will wait some more time in the stock ROM (if possible) to try again either CM10 or PA.
I have a nexus 7 32gb running the kaos ROM based off cm10 well I used romtoolbox to change my DPI to 160 well on the video the guy swiped down from the top right corner of the screen to bring down the settings and where it shows brightness and WiFi well its suppose to show the screen rotation mine is gone including the battery icon why?
Hi
I'm in the process of installing a Android-stick in my car by HDMI to display on the original 7" screen and controlled with a touch-plate overlay.
That part is done and its working, but with such a low res screen (800x480 native) with stick running 720p the menus and text become unreadable even in "huge" mode. This i was able to more or less fix by using an app "Resolution Changer" which allows for changing resolution and DPI.
Problem is that icons will start to overlap/cut eachother if tweaked too muuch and app names disappear, also the standard android menu and statusbar remains tiny.
My biggest problem now, after trying a different launcher, this one with a "windows 8" kind of layout, all icons are on top of eachother and I cant switch launcher back or find the icon for settings or Resolution Changer.
Hope anyone have tips on how to solve it other than reflashing, well, Its not a biggie, but would prefer not to.
Hey guys. My wife has an issue with her OP6. She's running full stock at the latest firmware. She's having issues with notification not showing in the notification panel. I have checked it and it turns out that the notification is there is just that is transparent for some reason. I was trying to see if it was the theme she was using. I changed it from light to default to dark and it happens the same issue. Also when I pull down the notification panel it's cutting the top part of the bar. I've attached a screenshot for you guys to see. Again she's running full stock, no root, no substratum.
Okay so I'm rooted, stock OOS, ElementalX kernel.
I'm using gestures and whenever I swipe to switch apps, the status bar takes longer than the rest of the screen to change. It basically "pops" in after the rest of the screen displays the app I switched to. Anyone else seeing this issue?
Update: problem doesn't occur with stock launcher. But I want to use the pixel launcher...
