[Q] Change Navigation Bar Content on Stock ROM? - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'm trying to get a Nexus 7 like UI in my Galaxy Tab 7.7. I have ICS 4.0.4 running on it. I installed Nova Launcher, set it as default, replaced Samsung Keyboard, changed DPI to 213, replaced some other misbehaving Samsung Apps. So far so good. But I would like to further simplify the UI, like in Nexus:
1) Introduce a new bar on the top of screen like Nexus7, move the icons on the right side of bottom navigation bar to top of screen. I need a new bar for this, any idea how can I get it? the notifications shall also start to pop down from top of the screen.
2) Disable mini-apps bar in the middle of bottom navbar. Anyway many of them don't function anymore in 213 DPI and I don't need it anymore.
3) Distribute the remaining navbar icons evenly onto the bottom navbar. Now they are very close to each other on the crowded left side of the bar.
Is this mission impossible? I was eventually using latest CM10 version which was good, but one morning I woke up with a depleted battery and a boot loop. I will wait some more time in the stock ROM (if possible) to try again either CM10 or PA.

Adw launcher and ics screen issue?

I can't seem to remove the blue line and settings button above it, which are at the top of my screen when using adw ex on ics (slim build dated 20 Feb). I've followed the directions from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494521
but they don't work for me. Also tried asserting a feature to do it but to no avail. But what does happen is when I use the button or gesture to hide the status bar while it stays, when I press the menu button the menu options appear with 2/3 of it disappeared off the screen. I prefer adw as it has more useable screen realestate rather than just the square area for widget placement you get using trebuchet. Are others finding the same thing? Any fixes?
And while I'm asking, if I can't remove the status bar, is there any way I can place some other things in there? Like add the open apps button in there? I can't seem to find a way.
I guess I'm trying to make the top of my screen similar to the first image you see when you look at adw launcher ex on the Android market.

Same issue here. I have tried using the hide status bar shortcut but it does nothing. The blue line is driving me crazy to the point of not even using adw.
add me to the list.. having this issue on a couple of my devices.. I think the blue line/bar is called a "action bar" not a status bar? but i dont have the option to hide the action bar as some threads describe.. such a waste of precious desktop space.. if i find a fix ill post back..

Try in rom control- battery. I only had blue line and not those buttons. Anyway I changed the colour to black to match my home screen. The line just represented the battery on mine
If your on a ICS from then you need to change DPi to 120 or else ADW thinks its on a phone. Don't use ADW anymore since Nova and Apex since both are HW a celled and last time I checked ADW is not.

[Q] How to force full screen for everything?

Hi there. Lovin the N5 so far. Definitely the fastest phone I have ever used (and I've used tons). Trying to move to more gesture based things and looking for a way to hide the status / nav bars so I can just use Pie and swipe down for status bar / notifications. I can use GMD Gesture Controls to hide both, but it reverts back to normal after I lock the screen. Plus the status bar doesn't swipe down easily if at all like that. Anyone else have any ideas or just have to wait till more devs get their N5s to build up the KitKat support for mods?

[Q] Some problems with Xposed Framework

I have some modules that's not working at all and some that's working, but there are some flaws.
The not-working-at-all modules:
NFC Icon Remover. I know it was mainly developed for some HTC devices, but does it work for anyone on the Xperia L?
Adapted Layout also doesn't work at all. I don't know if it should only work if I have a completely hidden navigation bar, cause I have a navbar it's just reduced to half of it's original size and it also doesn't do anything at all. The walkman app looks like this for me and there should'nt be a space where I circled the picture.
The working-but-not-flawlessly modules:
But my biggest problem is with Gravitybox. Most of its features are working properly, but some of them aren't and they are annoying.
Problem 1: I tried to reduce the size of the navigation bar in vertical mode, but it's not working at all.
Problem 2: I set the transparency of the satus bar to 100% percent on the lockscreen, but it's not fully transparent, it looks like this. It used to be working fine and it was fully transparent, I don't know what changed since.
Problem 3: I also set the transparency of the status bar to 100% in the launcher, and it's fully transparent, but if I lock my phone and then unlock it, the status bar is fully black, not transparent at all, but if I swype down the notification bar and the quickly swype it back up, it becomes fully transparent, and I have to do this every single time if I want a transparent status bar.
If you can help me with only one of my problems, it'd be much appreciated.

CM10.2 w/ classical (Samsung) soft controls?

Tired of waiting I installed CM10.2 on the N8010. I must say I like it very much, and it does solve several of the issues that are in Samsung's 4.1.2 Android.
But a feature that I really liked in the old system is the combined status/navigation bar at the bottom. Android > 4.3 has a status bar at the top and soft controls at the bottom which I consider less convenient (and consumes more pixels). Also, my muscle memory is very strong at wanting a back button in the bottom left position, not somewhere halfway the bottom bar).
Is there a way to get this (or sufficiently similar) behaviour in CM10.2? I already installed the Nova Launcher for several other desktop tweaks.

lock screen and status bar queries

hi, apologies if this has been posted before but it's really driving me nuts. 2 days ago everything was fine: i'm simply using c-locker as a lock screen. then yesterday i noticed there was another lock screen which can only be unlocked by swiping up. the status bar also changed. whereas before the bar went all the way up to the edge, now there's a black bar. the phone signal moved to the left side. to view notification icons (like an envelope for sms), the sound would come but the status bar would stay the same. by clicking on the status bar only then would the other icons appear and the status bar would go to the original (be all the way to the end of the screen). i'm still googling about but so far zilch.
solved!
my wife's phone is a nokia 1020 (we bought it as she loves the camera). it rang last night and she was in the gym. so i answered it and afterwards i noticed that the lockscreen and the status bar were very similar to the one i was having issues with in my edge. so i went over to my edge and uninstalled windows 10 launcher. i had previously installed it because my wife wanted to see if i could replicate her phone interface. so i installed but never used the launcher. when the edge did an ota update, windows 10 launcher was part of the other apps touched. whatever updates happened, the launcher forced it's lockscreen and status bar profiles on top of my existing setup. so, in case you plan to install the win10 launcher, maybe it's best to use it on it's own.
