Anyone have a sucessful method of restoring apps with the specific app logon info (account used for apps)? I currently have the premium versions of Helium and Titanium but neither seems to restore app (data) with app account credentials so I don't have to log back into each single app after a wipe. I just wanted to know what others used since everything I've tried has been hit or miss.
I've nothing. Have to log into everything manually.
OK so I noticed an option with Titanium Backup (MENU --> PREFERENCES --> BACKUP APP EXTERNAL DATA and there is an option to RESTORE the external data a bit further down so I checked that). I tested it on a few apps ( selected to backup\restore external data, logged into apps and backed them up again, uninstalled apps, re-installed and confirmed that app account info was not there, restored data only and rebooted phone) and it restored my login info for the 5 apps I tried. I'm in the process of redoing all my backups (with the save and restore external app data options on) and then I'll do a complete wipe and install of a clean ROM and I'll see if that's the trick.
partial success it worked for some apps but not for others (about 50-50). The search continues.

What is the easiest / best way to backup my app settings so I can restore them after I install a new rom. Google seems to take care of all my wifi settings, etc fine, and reinstalls all my apps from the google marketplace, but I have to manually log back into all of my apps, and re-setup all of my apps which is a pain.
I tried installing Titanium backup, but I'm not sure what to select to backup. I don't want to backup the apps since those reinstall automatically fine, I just want the settings for the apps backed app.
Any recommendations?
Titanium allows you to back up system data without backing up the apps. Just launch titanium, hit the menu button, select batch, and run backup all system data
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
Titanium backup can backup any app including its settings and restore just the settings or the whole app. As was stated above it can also backup settings only for system data.
yes ... but when you restore app + data ,you will feel so bad , specially when you have more than 100 apps ...
I had rooted my S Duos and faced some problem with boot loop.
I flashed new stock after resetting to factory mode and cache clearing. But now when I use clean Master to clean junk file it shows many previous apps like Lucky Patcher, Titanium Backup under obsolete apks menu as NOT INSTALLED. I have Super backup and had backed up my apps before rooting. Now I deleted those backups also but those apps not getting deleted.
I also think there might be Superuser app also available in memory which could be hidden.
Is there any way to clean those files without harming my msgs and contacts.
Thanks
backup everything

Can Titanium Backup be used to backup a secondary user's apps and data?
I'm trying to backup the apps and app data (app settings, high scores etc.) on a secondary account but Titanium Backup just fails and gives the error "Backup failed: Insufficient free storage space". I tried backing up individual apps and batch backup and neither works. Using Titanium Backup on the Owner's account works as normal.
I'm using the latest version of Titanium Backup Pro on a Nexus 7 2013 on 4.4.4.
Things I've tried (looking for a solution):
Uninstalled and re-installed Titanium Backup
Changing the backup directory to various locations, none worked
Updated to the latest version of SuperSU
Ensured that multi-user is enabled in SuperSU
Unchecked mount namespace separation in SuperSU
Check for the error in settings of titanium backu and you will get the anser

Can you direct me to where in the settings to look?
Any ideas on this problem?
I was asking earlier about how to make a list of all the apps I have installed, so that when I root my Note 4 (which involves wiping the phone), I can go through the list and easily remember which apps I should reinstall. But someone suggested just using a backup app like Helium, and then restoring them once I root my Note 4.
Will that actually work? Can I just use a backup app like Helium or Titanium or MyBackup, backup all my installed apps and their user data, then root/wipe the phone, reinstall said backup app, and I'll be able to restore all the apps I have installed, and they'll just work?
And if so, does it include things like user data for each app like configuration options and locally stored saved games? Can I go through the list and only restore the apps that I really want, unchecking all the ones I don't want reinstalled?
I've always rooted straight away, but I'm going to wait a bit on my new HTC 10. That leaves me trying to backup and restore apps without TB. I just downloaded and made a backup with Helium, only there are a few dozen apps that apparently don't allow backups to be made. Is there any way to backup these apps (just the apk's) and install them on the new phone without installing one by one from the Play store? I restored the apps that allow backups but the data wasn't restored. I have app syncing enabled in settings, but it apparently doesn't work. Help!
