note 4 seidio dilex pro - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

Has anybody got the sedio dilex pro yet with the holster. It just came out last week. So please post pics if you got it and how u like it and if the fixed the problem where the rubber and clip didn't work well together. Based on the pics look like the fixed it from past phone models.

I know somebody has got to have this case by now. Please share if you do. Thanks

Somebody posted in another case thread (I forget which one) that they got it and they are gonna return it. I think I remember something about it being too slippery or something like that.

I saw that post also, just wanted anybody else

Anybody?

Anybody with updated thought/reviews on the dilex pro?

I have the Dilex Pro for the Note 4. I don't think it is slippery when compared to the UAG or Spigen cases. It has a soft touch coating on it. It is definitely not as grippy as the old Active cases - which I have for my Note II. This is due to two factors - they have now switched over to TPU and they only have one grip area on each side, whereas the Active had 2. The side buttons are a little stiffer compared to the UAG - but not as stiff/unresponsive as the cheap full TPU cases you find on e-bay. When you press a button, you do feel the button press and there is a slight tactile response.
I have noticed 2 light scratches on the chamfered edges - 1 top, 1 bottom. And I have only taken it out of the case once or twice.
The kickstand is very nice - a lot more recessed compared to the active but feels just as sturdy. Has the right amount of force to hold it in - can be hard to pop it out sometimes, but better to be a bit more difficult than have it open accidentally.
My only complaint would be that the black version shows fingerprints very easily, so you do need to clean it a bit - the same can be said of the Active. I do wish that they had more of a texture on the sides - since they are a bit narrow due to the slim profile of the phone.
I am sticking with the Siedio over the UAG mainly due to the slimmer case + built in kickstand. Not sure if the kickstand will interfere with Qi charging - my charging receivers have not arrived yet.
Overall drop protection - I feel the UAG would be better - but since the hard smooth plastic of the UAG is slippier....
EDIT: I did not get the holster - not a fan of them.

Thanks for the review, if u don't mind post a couple pics

Update:
It looks like my phone does not have any scratches. (knock on wood).
I thought there was, but I just got my Qi charging receiver and had to pop out the phone. It is not easy to do on this case - it fits that snugly. Anyways - I rubbed at the "scratches" and they are gone. Double checked around the phone edges, and no scratches.
Edit: Qi Charging works with this case - even with the kickstand. Using the Choetech Updated Charging pad - the one with 3 coils. NFC does not work with this Qi receiver though.
RE: Pictures. I don't have a camera with me at work right now - I'll take a few tonight - hopefully I won't forget.

Cool thanks ksoze nice to hear no scratches

Here are the pictures. As you can see those are finger marks - the lighting makes it look worse than it is, but I do have to wipe the case down occasionally.
I placed an e-grips pad in the center to aid with one-handed use. Without it, it tends to slide down if you're not careful.

I forgot to mention this previously, but the bottom microphone home is an elongated oval cutout - so should fit the Verizon(?) model with the alternate mic location.
Kickstand hump area sticks out about 2mm when stored - which is slightly better than the 3mm of the older Active series.
Kickstand can only be used in landscape mode - portrait mode is out of the question. I also find my self resting the kickstand over my fingers for a more relaxed grip. Feels sturdy - does not pop out like the Spigen kickstand. On the downside - if you do manage to pop the kickstand out, I figure it will be damaged. Held in by magnets - does not affect S-pen functionality.
Camera is decently protected - unless you are unlucky enough to drop it on a stone - it should handle falls to flat surfaces alright. The front lip area is about 1.5mm - hard to tell now with the glass screen protector on. You can also see the lovely Halo effect in the front shot.

Interesting. I haven't had the slipping or fingerprint issues.
I tried the following cases before settling on the Dilex Pro:
Spigen Tough Armor (way too slick and felt cheap)
I-Blazon Prime (close but not quite the Dilex Pro - my close second choice, but wish the kickstand was easier to pop out)
Otterbox (way too thick/wide/tall/fat/etc...)
I'm used to the Seidio Active cases. I was concerned when I first received mine because it was TPU instead of the softer grippy silicon. I emailed and they explained that the Pro is TPU and the regular is the softer silicon. They said the TPU was better able to provide protection from drops. Also, the edges seemed a little sharp, but that went away with use.
The iBlazon Prime is pretty cool and close, but honestly nothing beats a Seidio. The kickstand is great, it's slim fitting and protective. While I liked the protection that the Otterbox offered, in the end it was just too huge for me. The Dilex Pro is much more easily used with a single hand, and fits in a pocket better. I've dropped mine about 3-4 times and nearly went into shock each time watching it fall, but it's survived in the Dilex Pro without any scraps/scratches/dings. I also have a tempered glass screen protector (yes with the holo effect, but it feels so much nicer than the flexible ones).

Thanks for the pics and info guys!!

Otterbox Commuter vs. Trident Aegis (pics)

I thought I'd start a new thread so the photos wouldn't get lost in one of the other case threads. I received the Aegis today. My wife and I both have the Charge and I bought Commuters for both, so I was able to install the Aegis on my phone and take comparison photos for those of you wondering about the differences.
I have to thank moondrius again, since I believe he was the first to post information about the Aegis, which lead me to purchase it instead of waiting for the Kraken 2.
Aegis:
Dislikes: More difficult to put on the phone than the Commuter. If you plan on swapping batteries often I wouldn't recommend this case. Lack of protection for the hard buttons. Silicon port covers are a bit harder to open than on the Commuter.
Likes: The grip coating on the hard case. The hard case support on the top of the phone. Extra protection on corners of phone. Cover over speaker.
Notes: While the grip coating makes it slightly more difficult to slide in and out of a pocket, the flares at the top of the phone make it easy to grab when you need to remove it from a pocket. A nice little design feature. The Aegis DOES have a cover for the HDMI port. I'm not sure what the holes are for on the back of the Aegis. Heat dissipation perhaps?
Commuter:
Dislikes: Silicon easily separates from the top of the phone when phone is grabbed from the top. Hard case is slippery, so it slides off of sloped surfaces and can slip from your hand.
Likes: Hard button coverage, although dust and dirt could still migrate under the protected area. Silicon port covers are easier to open than on the Aegis. It's a bit easier to slide in and out of a pocket. Case is relatively easy to install on the phone.
Notes: The Commuter is a more svelte case than the Aegis. The Commuter DOES NOT have a cover over the HDMI port.
On to the photos (the green case is the Trident Aegis). Sorry that they're a bit out of focus, my eyes were tired right after work. I also apologize for the hair and dust, but with six furry beasts running around, keeping the phones hair free is impossible.

Commuter silicon can separate from top of phone.
Great side by side comparison! I'll be getting one of these within the next week after I make a decision. Thanks for taking the time to make the write-up.
Nice post. This pretty much sums it up.
Could you comment on the ease of button presses? I have the Commuter and while I like the case a lot it makes the power and volume buttons very hard to press, I have to use the edge of my thumb and give it a good jab.
Its very easy to hit buttons with the Aegis.
Thanks for this. This confirms that I won't be buying the otterbox for sure, since I hate hard plastic. I like my current Incipio, case but the trident case looks like a good alternative.
I have a quick question about the Commuter case. It looks like there is no way for the baclights for the buttons to shine through the case, is that correct? I really like the looks of the Commuter case but I am trying to figure out if covering the backlights is worth it.

You are correct. The hard buttons are completely covered, so no back-lighting will come through.

That is what I was afraid of. I really like the Commuter and it would probably be the perfect case for me if the backlights were visible. I am not sure if I am sold on the Aegis. It looks a little too big and with the plugs being harder to open it might get annoying.
I like the Incipio Silicrylic case as well, but that one has no HDMI cutout which is kinda strange. Not sure what to do at this point, but great review!
My Otterbox commuter came in the mail yesterday. Here are my thoughts:
1) The Otterbox was super easy to install and looks nice. I like how the Samsung logo is covered because of the continutity of black.
2) Wow, this is a a chunky case! It is much thicker than I thought it would be. I definately wouldn't want a thicker case.
3) On the other hand, this looks extremely sturdy (One guy dropped his on off his bike going 75mph and the phone was fine). I'm not surprised.
4) The bottom physical buttons are covered but still have a really good feel to them (possibly better than having them not covered). However, at night I will have to get used to the positions. I was surprised how I instinctively knew where the buttons go without looking anyways.
5) Plugs and other buttons are easy to access. On button is actually easier to press now.
6) Slides in an out of my pocket with ease.
7) Decent grip in my hand
Overall I'm pretty happy. It was chunkier than I thought from looking at the pictures, but it also looks a lot more solid. It has a much better hand feel without feeling bulky in my pocket.
I almost went with the Aegis, but after looking at a video review of it, I decided against it because the case looks HUGE, plus in the video they said that it almost doubles the weight of the phone. I think I have only dropped a phone like 3 times in my life so I don't need some huge case to protect my phone.
I like everything about the Commuter other than the cover over the buttons. I like to be able to feel the buttons and have the backlight (especially once we get BLN support in future ROMs). So I decided against the Commuter as well.
I ended up going with the Incipio Silicrylic case. The Incipio would probably be the PERFECT case if it had the cutout for the HDMI port, but since I don't have any plans to use the HDMI port in the near future I don't think it will bother me at all. I should have my case in a few days so hopefully I like it.
I am guessing that none of these cases are easy to remove? I seem to be swapping batteries a lot lately and would need to remove the case on occasion.
The Kraken II looks easy to remove. Mine should be here any day now so I will let you know. The Otterbox commuter is not too hard to remove. The Aegis is a little odd to put on but after doing it a few times its not a problem at all.

I'll also be reviewing the Neo Hybrid next and will be adding that to the post once I get that video up. Also, if you have any questions about the case, please feel free to ask.
Does this case cover the white bezel surrounding the glass? I have an S-Line clear case and the bottom portion of the case does not fully cover the white bezel portion under the home button.

Yes, the Ultra Hybrid does cover the whole white bezel.

I've tried the heart rate sensor with all cases, they all work as long as you follow the instructions and just press gently.
I'm disappointed the edges don't have much tpu on the slim armor cases. I like to have a good grip, especially on my note
I have the tough armor, and while I like the case (especially for the sale price), the stand is VERY flimsy, even though it is metal. the hinge that connects to the plastic case, seems as if it will just fall off is you wiggle it too much.

The kickstand is not metal, it is cheap thin plastic. In the review I state for the slim armor I said that it has come off numerous times since its held theres no support in the hinge. It's easy to pop back on, but can be annoying since you have to take the case ofd to put it back on.
A tip to prevent it from coming off, hold the hinge area while you try to take it out so that it doesnt come off the hinge.
2 complaints about the Sigen tough armor:
1) flimsy, worthless kickstand. seidio does it right with their surface cases
2) kept the case in pocket with car keys and the back is already scratched up everywhere.

Yea the kickstand is a p.o.s. At first I thought I'd rather not have it, but there are times when I need a kickstand so I'd rather have it then have nothing.
The tough armor also Is tad alippery. The main contact points for your Palm and hand should either have grips points or be made of rubber.
It's very sleek but also very slick, and the volume/power buttons should have more of a bump, or lettering to allow for better differential feeling vs the rest of the sides of the case. I have to always look at the buttons to make sure my fingers are in the right place.
I bought the ultra hybrid, neo-hybrid, and slim armor. Does anyone else have some sloppiness on the left side of the ultra hybrid? Also notice some sloppiness with the neo-hybrid. I lent my cousin my sim armor until her cases come in so I cant comment on that one.

Great videos man. Well shot and covers the information very clearly.
What do you mean by "sloppiness on the left side of the ultra hybrid"? I don't notice anything particular on mine. For what it is and the price I paid ($3.49 + $3.00 shipping), it serves well while I consider more protective cases.
basically I can press on the sides and it squishes in on the left side whereas on the right it just feels solid. Same with the top..press it and it just feels solid. But press the bottom you can feel the tpu move towards the phone

I don't have that with the Neo Hybrid since the fit is just so tight but on the Tough Armor, Slim Armor, and Ultra Hybrid, because the fit is not as tight as the neo hybrid, there is a very very very slight amount of movement if you grip firmly but It's definitely not anything too serious.
I have the neo hybrid and:
- i dont like the textured feel at the back unlike the smooth back on note 3.
- finger cant touch heartrate monitor due to back cover being thick on that part of the case. Never had a successful measurement in like 50+ tries when case is on. So annoying.
Still looking for something to replace this. Sucks because I like neo hybrid in my note 3.
Am I the only one who wishes the neo hybrid came with a white back option? Love the case but don't like the dark color with my white phone.

Best Samsung Galaxy S4 Case - Protective Cover +

Best Samsung Galaxy S4 Cover - Protective Cover - REAL REVIEW - 720p @60fpsIn this review I did an unboxing, and explained why Samsung's Protective Cover is better than Spigen's Neo Hybrid Case. Before I got this case, I thought that Spigen's Neo Hybrid was best, but after less than 1 year of usage the side cover of Neo Hybrid broke up. There were also some other problems with the Neo Hybrid case which I showed in this REAL REVIEW.

I used this case in my device but I like more the Otterbox cases in terms of durability, The Spigen is easier to put on and take of but the Otterbox are made for tougher life. I use my device to do sports and I must use a case that is hard enough and not too bold to fit in my pocket.
I like this cover a lot. It has many adventages. It fits perfectly meaning buttons corners. It has cutouts in perfect places and with right shape. The back is made of tpu harder plastic which makes it quite tesistant to drops and hits. Tje sides are made of silicone which makes it nice in touch. Only thing problematic is that the back could be more sticky to avoid sliding outta hand. The rear cutouts for camera and speaker have small raise ups to help avoid scratches on camera glass and provide the possibility to jear spealer when the phone is on its back on desk or something. The front has like 1mm stick out part ariund screen which saves hits on tje gorilla glass when you put it upside down. The cutout on back for camera has a wall of material between it and led flashlight to male it more stable and avoid bigger rocks or dirt to get to camera glass. It looks lile it
I purchased the Spigen Slim Armor View good case. but.. the sview door broke in two months
Im a big fan of the www.lowprocases.com samsung s4 case. Its slim and make my phone look bad ass. Easily get asked what phone I have. http://static1.squarespace.com/stat...e12/1425585170209/samsungs4b.jpg?format=1000w
I had this case for my old Note 2. Great case, but I don't think the TPU edges offer enough protection from drops. I rock the UAG or Speck Candyshell. Amazon has it the green one for $3.50.
Pknockle, no one cares about your sh!tty cases.
i bought one of those before but it was a very tight fit, and when I put on my wireless receiver, it made it really tight and the buttons did not align. I use a simple roocase bumper case and a UAG case now. Both work with the wireless receiver .

I have one and I haven't had any problems with it. I do notice some lines in the plastic forming near the bottom of the buttons where I can see it breaking eventually. That's only because I take it off to switch batteries a couple of times a week. The case gives the phone a very solid sturdy feel and the rubber absorbs impacts very well. I've dropped it a few times and you can hear that the impact was absorbed.
Otterbox Defender
I used Otterbox Defender for the past 2 years, got it after a week of using the flip case that i hated. Its very durable but its not with flaws, after 2 years (i have no complaints or regrets), the screen protector / plastic is too scratched i just pull it off (im using a tempered glass anyway so no problem.. The rubber jack covers and port covers gives way as well.. and recently the side rubber also rotted more and more but it looked like Rick Grimes in Walking Dead, old and seasoned... haha.. it survived heavy usage as i practically bring my phone everywhere lol and my S4 practically looked brand new because of my Otterbox.. i would really recommend Otterbox if you're looking for heavy duty cover and if you dont mind the bulky appearance.
I have this case too. Bought a Spigen thinking it'd be better but it just added unnecessary bulk and didn't feel as good.
nice case
I use Spigen cases
still prefer bumper cover.. this case makes the phone bulkier..
thanks:good:
I personally think the Speck candyshell grip is the best case for any phone out there. You can't beat it. Great aesthetics, amazing grip, very slim/light, and fits perfectly on the phone, and not to mention, a very tight fight for the phone, giving you a ton of confidence that the case won't come flying off if you drop it.
And shout out to the body glove tactic case for the s4. The only other case that comes close to the Speck grip case, and on certain days, prefer it over the candyshell. Never thought I'd find a case as good as the Speck grip case.

I have a new candidate for best case for this phone. Body glove tactic. Less grip than the Speck, but still gives a good amount of grip, and what I love about this case is how slim it is when holding the phone. Feels almost as slim as a naked Galaxy s4 (not quite, but as close as you can get with the amount of protection you get with this case), and not as wide feeling like the spigen slim armor, or the Speck. The specks not even wide feeling, it's just that this case is so lean.

Nice case to look at, and very protective, but too wide, and doesn't have any grip.
If you want an all around great case, go for the speck candyshell grip, or the body glove tactic. Me personally, I'm done using cases. I'm not gonna sell or trade my phone at this point, so really don't care anymore if it gets a few scratches here and there. I'm still using a screen protector though, because the screen is the most important thing on the phone. Besides, I'm really careful with my phone, and probably dropped maybe 2-3x in the entire 4 years if owning this phone.

Looking for slim case

Hey guys I'm looking for a really slim case that isn't raised too much along the edges of the screen or cover too much of the sides of the device. A couple I'm looking at is the Obliq case, spigen capsule, spigen slim armor, or maybe the official Samsung protective case.
I have a tech 21 case now and it's ok but it's a bit bulky around the edges and kind of hides the shape of the phone.
I had the Tech21 case and currently have the Speigen Capsule and Samsung cases. The Tech21 was WAY too thick and bulky, and the buttons were hard to press. The Capsule is very thin, but has sharp edges IMO. I found it really uncomfortable to hold without it feeling like my hand may get cut (it never happened, but still hurt).
The Samsung case is awesome though. Fits beautifully and looks like it's a part of the phone. It protects really well too and hardly adds any thickness. I'd highly recommend it. It's worth the money 105%.

Yes, try Amazon.
Look up verus iron shield champagne gold galaxy note 4 review by real reviews on YouTube thy have a link in the description probably the best thin case for the note 4 in the link the have different colors also
Ringke Slim case is the slimmest one IMO by far at the expense of drop protection. The black one has a nice matte finish while the other colors are more glossy which I don't like.
It adds the least bulk and gives a bit of protection - I've dropped my phone onto hardwood floors a couple times from 3-4 feet. The case slightly deformed but the phone was perfect. However I expect any drop onto a hard surface like concrete will break the screen.
Like the previous post stated, the Ringke slim is super thin. The SF black has good grip.
I would go with the Samsung Protective cover though. a little thicker but you are drop protected and the case feels better in hand.
Ringke Slim 9.99
Samsung Protective Cover:
12.00 (Blue)
14.00 (Black)
15.00 (Red)
Thank you guys for the ideas. I really like how slim the ringke is but it makes me a little nervous. I think I'm torn between the Samsung protective case and the verus. Both look super nice although the Samsung appears to be a bit slimmer
I have a Verus Thor on mine, and I think it's pretty amazing for its slimness to protection ratio. Camera's protected, there's enough of a lip in front to protect the screen (I've got a tempered glass protector anyway), and if there's a con, it's that it fits so tight and snug that you don't want to take it off too often; I ended up buying a new dock just so I don't have to. Well, that, and it's not highly textured or rubbery, so it feels a little smoother in the hand than I see a lot of people liking. Fell out twice at work a few days ago--once onto concrete, once onto steel car wash railings--and it still looks pristine. I highly recommend it.

If by "thick enough that the camera isnt exposed," you mean that when you rest the phone on a table, the camera lens isnt resting directly on the flat surface, then yes. There is a lip around the camera lens that will keep it from touching any flat surface.
i want it too

Well after reading the comments from you guys I decided to pull the trigger on the blue Samsung protective cover. Seems like it offers good protection and a very slim form factor. I'll post some pics once it comes in the mail
That Samsung one looks nice. There is a great review on it from a guy named lawmanfj on youtube. I'll probably grab that one down the road. I just purchased the S-View case, and I really like it. It is a flip case, but it doesn't add much bulk. Seems like the drop protection might not be the best, but since it replaces your back battery cover, it's stay's slim. It does run about $26 through Amazon. I picked one up at Best Buy for a few bucks more, but got to try it out before purchasing.
You should post some pics when your case comes in, and give a review of it.
Does anyone know if there is a case like the Samsung Protective Cover, but replaces the battery door to make it slimmer? Basically i would like to find something with some protection around the edges, and a lip for the screen, but without adding to the thickness of the phone.

Poetic Affinity case review

I was sent the Poetic Affinity case to review, so here it is. Hopefully this will help you decide on a case to help protect your shiny new 6P.
This case currently sells for $9.95 on Amazon
The Poetic Affinity is a clear polycarbonate case that protects your device from bumps and scratches while still retaining a low-profile. It is offered in two colors, clear with a black TPU lining (the color option I received) and clear with a clear TPU lining. As I mentioned previously, the inside is lined with a nice TPU material to help absorb shock. The corners protrude slightly from the rest of the case to protect against drops. It is very easy to install and remove and does not scratch your 6P while doing so. The outside edges are lined with a nice texture to provide grip and there are also TPU ridges along the back, so holding the device should not be a problem.

All the cutouts are perfectly centered and as they should be. The camera cutout does not cover the autofocus sensor and is surrounded by a raised TPU ring for protection. The ring around the fingerprint sensor is not too big and has a slight angle, making it very easy to find. I had no issues with any of the USB-C cables or headphones I tried. I have an intelliARMOR tempered glass screen protector installed and it does not interfere with it in any way and leaves plenty of room.
The volume buttons are separated and easy to distinguish from the rest of the case. I noticed I would occasionally press the power button or one of the volume buttons by mistake. It does not take much force for a button press, but I think that is because of the softness of the buttons on the 6P and has nothing to do with the case. I had no troubles taking a screenshot, a problem I had with the official Adopted case.
The only issue I found is the placement of one of the logos on the back of the case, it covers the “s” of the Nexus logo. That is purely cosmetic however, and does not affect the fit and function in any way. It would be nice if that logo was a little smaller and moved up an inch or so though.
Bottom line: If you are looking for a case that adds very little bulk and is well made for a good price and don’t mind the minor cosmetic issue (see above), I would definitely recommend the Poetic Affinity.
I've reviewed the same case on posted a video on youtube "techbswift".
The case overall is very nice, all the ports are big enough to accommodate any USB cable or headphone jack. The case is super slim which I love and, it provides decent bumper protection. I love the silicone markings that run up and down on the back of the case. It makes you feel like the case won't slip out your hands. All the buttons work properly and the see through back of the case is beautiful. The only thing I don't like about the case is the companies logo that's placed right where the Nexus branding shows through the case. If you're going to put a branding on a case, don't cover up the logo of the phone.
I agree with most, the branding is ill placed but it's probably just carryovers from the case's original template. Screenshotting for me is hit or miss but usually miss. Lol I never really do so not big deal for me. It is very ez to press the buttons which is one of my major complaints. Also the button area isn't rigid like the rest of the case which is another thing I dislike. I understand why it's that way but I'm sure they could've added more PC to keep it rigid and still have responsive buttons. The main reason I got this case was to show off the dbrand skins I have coming. Otherwise I would never go for any clear cases.
If I may humbly offer an opposing opinion, I find the plastic it is made of to be of lower quality than the Ringke Fusion or Spigen Hybrid. The branding is also off-putting, especially the P covering the Nexus in the phone itself. Not a bad case overall, but Poetic has done better in the past. There's something to be said about subtlety, and this one misses that mark.

I agree, I would rather be blunt about it than sugar coat the review and have people buy it. That would hurt my credibility and I don't see a point in offer anything anything but an 100% accurate review to the best of your ability. The plastic on mine came scratched which speaks for its quality.
Mine has scratches all over it already but I knew that coming into it. This would apply to all PC cases regardless of color. Can't compare to other similar cases as I don't have them.

Mine has a scratch on it as well, but my Spigen rugged armor has more scratches with less use. To be honest the only PC/TPU case that I've had that didn't scratch much, for over a year, was my Diztronic.
I've used Diztronic stuff in the past and generally like them but they make the same horrible mistake as Poetic and that's playing their brand aggressively on their cases.
