Hey guys I'm looking for a really slim case that isn't raised too much along the edges of the screen or cover too much of the sides of the device. A couple I'm looking at is the Obliq case, spigen capsule, spigen slim armor, or maybe the official Samsung protective case.
I have a tech 21 case now and it's ok but it's a bit bulky around the edges and kind of hides the shape of the phone.
I had the Tech21 case and currently have the Speigen Capsule and Samsung cases. The Tech21 was WAY too thick and bulky, and the buttons were hard to press. The Capsule is very thin, but has sharp edges IMO. I found it really uncomfortable to hold without it feeling like my hand may get cut (it never happened, but still hurt).
The Samsung case is awesome though. Fits beautifully and looks like it's a part of the phone. It protects really well too and hardly adds any thickness. I'd highly recommend it. It's worth the money 105%.

Is it thick enough that the camera isnt exposed, do you have a link to the one you are talking about ?

Yes, try Amazon.
Look up verus iron shield champagne gold galaxy note 4 review by real reviews on YouTube thy have a link in the description probably the best thin case for the note 4 in the link the have different colors also
Ringke Slim case is the slimmest one IMO by far at the expense of drop protection. The black one has a nice matte finish while the other colors are more glossy which I don't like.
It adds the least bulk and gives a bit of protection - I've dropped my phone onto hardwood floors a couple times from 3-4 feet. The case slightly deformed but the phone was perfect. However I expect any drop onto a hard surface like concrete will break the screen.
Like the previous post stated, the Ringke slim is super thin. The SF black has good grip.
I would go with the Samsung Protective cover though. a little thicker but you are drop protected and the case feels better in hand.
Ringke Slim 9.99
Samsung Protective Cover:
12.00 (Blue)
14.00 (Black)
15.00 (Red)
Thank you guys for the ideas. I really like how slim the ringke is but it makes me a little nervous. I think I'm torn between the Samsung protective case and the verus. Both look super nice although the Samsung appears to be a bit slimmer
I have a Verus Thor on mine, and I think it's pretty amazing for its slimness to protection ratio. Camera's protected, there's enough of a lip in front to protect the screen (I've got a tempered glass protector anyway), and if there's a con, it's that it fits so tight and snug that you don't want to take it off too often; I ended up buying a new dock just so I don't have to. Well, that, and it's not highly textured or rubbery, so it feels a little smoother in the hand than I see a lot of people liking. Fell out twice at work a few days ago--once onto concrete, once onto steel car wash railings--and it still looks pristine. I highly recommend it.

If by "thick enough that the camera isnt exposed," you mean that when you rest the phone on a table, the camera lens isnt resting directly on the flat surface, then yes. There is a lip around the camera lens that will keep it from touching any flat surface.
i want it too

Well after reading the comments from you guys I decided to pull the trigger on the blue Samsung protective cover. Seems like it offers good protection and a very slim form factor. I'll post some pics once it comes in the mail
That Samsung one looks nice. There is a great review on it from a guy named lawmanfj on youtube. I'll probably grab that one down the road. I just purchased the S-View case, and I really like it. It is a flip case, but it doesn't add much bulk. Seems like the drop protection might not be the best, but since it replaces your back battery cover, it's stay's slim. It does run about $26 through Amazon. I picked one up at Best Buy for a few bucks more, but got to try it out before purchasing.
You should post some pics when your case comes in, and give a review of it.
Does anyone know if there is a case like the Samsung Protective Cover, but replaces the battery door to make it slimmer? Basically i would like to find something with some protection around the edges, and a lip for the screen, but without adding to the thickness of the phone.

I don't have this one but I got the snap on case and it is horrible the casemate snap on was way better, it is one of the worst cases I've ever bought and I heard this company made good cases.

It was supposed to be a question. I just forgot the question mark.... lol.
I doubt these are better
I second the Otterbox Commuter, it's amazing how well built this case is. I thought Incase made the best cases, but Otterbox takes the lead now.
Incipio cases are really rough and feel unfinished. The Feather case I got for my Nexus One actually damaged it slightly cause it had sharp uneven edges, not to mention cracked twice without dropping it even once.

Oh I just posted this in another thread (but is better posted in here)....
Ok well I got this Incipio silicylic hybrid case today, and I'm not that impressed.
It looks nice, and does give the extra support for the silicone down each side of the screen I was looking for. But they've totally cocked up the bottom of the case...
There is no real protection between the trackball and the USB port. The hard plastic is totally cut away there to the back of the phone, leaving a flimsy flap of silicone horizontally between the ball and port. Also the plastic and silicon is cut away right out past the dock port pins, leaving the phone body exposed to a straight down drop on its arse end due to this gaping cutout.
The plastic shell also has very sharp edges at that massive gaping cutout at the bottom too, so it needs dremmeling right out of the box.
If only they'd run a strip of plastic along that edge between trackball and usb port and not just silicone, none of this would be an issue, and it would have been my perfect case. Grrrr.

This is a case I got from eBay, its a Hard Hybrid Case. Brand is Mybat which is a probably a generic case maker from China .
Where to get it:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360559673384&refid=store
If you want to see the other cases they have, check here:
http://www.auctiva.com/stores/viewstore2.aspx?id=1621556&page=home&search=nexus 4
This one in particular is called: LG Nexus 4 E960 Hard Hybrid Case Black/ Black Cover Frosted Fusion Mb
I give it about:
8.5/10 -- Material - Surprisingly feels good, kinda like the Diztronic
9.0/10 -- Grip - Doesn't slide off, not bigger than the Official bumper so for you can still touch the other side of the screen with no effort.
7.5/10 -- Ease for button - There is a slight bit more spacing for the buttons and might make a slight clicking sound when pressed.
8.0/10 -- Snug fit/Hole openings - The cut outs are alright, if you don't push it in all the way it may have a slight gap.
8.0/10 -- Style/Look
7.0/10 -- Protection - The hard part of the case doesn't cover the edges but should be able to absorb some shock.
Pros: Adds decent protection, not for 500ft drops though.
Cons: The back material does attract oily hands and the top side as well as the bottom side of the soft part also attracts dust, not a biggy for me, also the top and bottom lips have that rubber band feeling but it doesnt look like its flimsy unless you pull on it.
Price/Value 8/10 - Reason why is, its a nice case and it will offer good protection for the phone, I just see it as a good case for maybe $5.95ish> range and not $10. They do have the other Hybrid Hard case with a kick stand and holster that looked pretty decent.
Overall I like it better than the S-line tpu that I got on day one lol and I feel it has more protection and I actually worry about it less than when I had the s-line (could be a bad thing?). I had the original bumper but I couldn't get use to the extra width, so for a no-name brand.. its not bad at all. They also have a lot of other designs that just came out.
Shipping was free but I ordered on a Sunday, came on a Saturday from CA to FL so yeah.. expedited shipping my ass! lol :silly:
TL;DR: good hybrid case, nothing too fancy

The back feels nice (kinda like diztronic or the non glossy part of the s-line tpu) and I can get a firm grip without it slipping. Since the inner is the soft rubbery part it fits nicely but if you're someone who pulls the phone out of your pocket by the tip and not the screen or sides then you might pull on it too hard.
I've only used it for one full day and it feels pretty solid :good:

yeah, there are a few cases out/coming out that are a bit more rugged but this one seems to be good in style as its all black (color preference) and smooth, the double layering also provides good enough protection for regular everyday use. :good:
Nice case, but I don't think it's worth that price.
Yep agree with you. I said in the review that I would probably pay $6 at most not $10 lol too many cases that are pieces of plastic and charging a bit. I'm waiting for the other ringke but if user reviews suck I'll prolly stick to this one a little longer.

Are you still using it?
How are the buttons?
Between this and the diztronic what would you choose?
With shipping to Portugal this is about 23 dollars and the diztronic 18 dollars
Looks like a solid case. Thanks buddy
I bought this case a few weeks ago and have been using it since then and am pretty happy.
Pros:
Feels nice.
Decent drop protection.
Decent price when compared to similar cases.
Doesn't stick in my pocket like an otterbox would.
Cons:
Plastic seems to be stretching.
Doesn't fit 100%. My chrome on the top and bottom is starting to show.
The volume / power buttons seem a little off center.
Decent case for a decent price if you want a bit of protection.

Best Samsung Galaxy S4 Cover - Protective Cover - REAL REVIEW - 720p @60fpsIn this review I did an unboxing, and explained why Samsung's Protective Cover is better than Spigen's Neo Hybrid Case. Before I got this case, I thought that Spigen's Neo Hybrid was best, but after less than 1 year of usage the side cover of Neo Hybrid broke up. There were also some other problems with the Neo Hybrid case which I showed in this REAL REVIEW.

I used this case in my device but I like more the Otterbox cases in terms of durability, The Spigen is easier to put on and take of but the Otterbox are made for tougher life. I use my device to do sports and I must use a case that is hard enough and not too bold to fit in my pocket.
I like this cover a lot. It has many adventages. It fits perfectly meaning buttons corners. It has cutouts in perfect places and with right shape. The back is made of tpu harder plastic which makes it quite tesistant to drops and hits. Tje sides are made of silicone which makes it nice in touch. Only thing problematic is that the back could be more sticky to avoid sliding outta hand. The rear cutouts for camera and speaker have small raise ups to help avoid scratches on camera glass and provide the possibility to jear spealer when the phone is on its back on desk or something. The front has like 1mm stick out part ariund screen which saves hits on tje gorilla glass when you put it upside down. The cutout on back for camera has a wall of material between it and led flashlight to male it more stable and avoid bigger rocks or dirt to get to camera glass. It looks lile it
I purchased the Spigen Slim Armor View good case. but.. the sview door broke in two months
Im a big fan of the www.lowprocases.com samsung s4 case. Its slim and make my phone look bad ass. Easily get asked what phone I have. http://static1.squarespace.com/stat...e12/1425585170209/samsungs4b.jpg?format=1000w
I had this case for my old Note 2. Great case, but I don't think the TPU edges offer enough protection from drops. I rock the UAG or Speck Candyshell. Amazon has it the green one for $3.50.
Pknockle, no one cares about your sh!tty cases.
i bought one of those before but it was a very tight fit, and when I put on my wireless receiver, it made it really tight and the buttons did not align. I use a simple roocase bumper case and a UAG case now. Both work with the wireless receiver .

I have one and I haven't had any problems with it. I do notice some lines in the plastic forming near the bottom of the buttons where I can see it breaking eventually. That's only because I take it off to switch batteries a couple of times a week. The case gives the phone a very solid sturdy feel and the rubber absorbs impacts very well. I've dropped it a few times and you can hear that the impact was absorbed.
Otterbox Defender
I used Otterbox Defender for the past 2 years, got it after a week of using the flip case that i hated. Its very durable but its not with flaws, after 2 years (i have no complaints or regrets), the screen protector / plastic is too scratched i just pull it off (im using a tempered glass anyway so no problem.. The rubber jack covers and port covers gives way as well.. and recently the side rubber also rotted more and more but it looked like Rick Grimes in Walking Dead, old and seasoned... haha.. it survived heavy usage as i practically bring my phone everywhere lol and my S4 practically looked brand new because of my Otterbox.. i would really recommend Otterbox if you're looking for heavy duty cover and if you dont mind the bulky appearance.
I have this case too. Bought a Spigen thinking it'd be better but it just added unnecessary bulk and didn't feel as good.
nice case
I use Spigen cases
still prefer bumper cover.. this case makes the phone bulkier..
thanks:good:
I personally think the Speck candyshell grip is the best case for any phone out there. You can't beat it. Great aesthetics, amazing grip, very slim/light, and fits perfectly on the phone, and not to mention, a very tight fight for the phone, giving you a ton of confidence that the case won't come flying off if you drop it.
And shout out to the body glove tactic case for the s4. The only other case that comes close to the Speck grip case, and on certain days, prefer it over the candyshell. Never thought I'd find a case as good as the Speck grip case.

I have a new candidate for best case for this phone. Body glove tactic. Less grip than the Speck, but still gives a good amount of grip, and what I love about this case is how slim it is when holding the phone. Feels almost as slim as a naked Galaxy s4 (not quite, but as close as you can get with the amount of protection you get with this case), and not as wide feeling like the spigen slim armor, or the Speck. The specks not even wide feeling, it's just that this case is so lean.

Nice case to look at, and very protective, but too wide, and doesn't have any grip.
If you want an all around great case, go for the speck candyshell grip, or the body glove tactic. Me personally, I'm done using cases. I'm not gonna sell or trade my phone at this point, so really don't care anymore if it gets a few scratches here and there. I'm still using a screen protector though, because the screen is the most important thing on the phone. Besides, I'm really careful with my phone, and probably dropped maybe 2-3x in the entire 4 years if owning this phone.

I was sent the Poetic Affinity case to review, so here it is. Hopefully this will help you decide on a case to help protect your shiny new 6P.
This case currently sells for $9.95 on Amazon
The Poetic Affinity is a clear polycarbonate case that protects your device from bumps and scratches while still retaining a low-profile. It is offered in two colors, clear with a black TPU lining (the color option I received) and clear with a clear TPU lining. As I mentioned previously, the inside is lined with a nice TPU material to help absorb shock. The corners protrude slightly from the rest of the case to protect against drops. It is very easy to install and remove and does not scratch your 6P while doing so. The outside edges are lined with a nice texture to provide grip and there are also TPU ridges along the back, so holding the device should not be a problem.

All the cutouts are perfectly centered and as they should be. The camera cutout does not cover the autofocus sensor and is surrounded by a raised TPU ring for protection. The ring around the fingerprint sensor is not too big and has a slight angle, making it very easy to find. I had no issues with any of the USB-C cables or headphones I tried. I have an intelliARMOR tempered glass screen protector installed and it does not interfere with it in any way and leaves plenty of room.
The volume buttons are separated and easy to distinguish from the rest of the case. I noticed I would occasionally press the power button or one of the volume buttons by mistake. It does not take much force for a button press, but I think that is because of the softness of the buttons on the 6P and has nothing to do with the case. I had no troubles taking a screenshot, a problem I had with the official Adopted case.
The only issue I found is the placement of one of the logos on the back of the case, it covers the “s” of the Nexus logo. That is purely cosmetic however, and does not affect the fit and function in any way. It would be nice if that logo was a little smaller and moved up an inch or so though.
Bottom line: If you are looking for a case that adds very little bulk and is well made for a good price and don’t mind the minor cosmetic issue (see above), I would definitely recommend the Poetic Affinity.
I've reviewed the same case on posted a video on youtube "techbswift".
The case overall is very nice, all the ports are big enough to accommodate any USB cable or headphone jack. The case is super slim which I love and, it provides decent bumper protection. I love the silicone markings that run up and down on the back of the case. It makes you feel like the case won't slip out your hands. All the buttons work properly and the see through back of the case is beautiful. The only thing I don't like about the case is the companies logo that's placed right where the Nexus branding shows through the case. If you're going to put a branding on a case, don't cover up the logo of the phone.
I agree with most, the branding is ill placed but it's probably just carryovers from the case's original template. Screenshotting for me is hit or miss but usually miss. Lol I never really do so not big deal for me. It is very ez to press the buttons which is one of my major complaints. Also the button area isn't rigid like the rest of the case which is another thing I dislike. I understand why it's that way but I'm sure they could've added more PC to keep it rigid and still have responsive buttons. The main reason I got this case was to show off the dbrand skins I have coming. Otherwise I would never go for any clear cases.
If I may humbly offer an opposing opinion, I find the plastic it is made of to be of lower quality than the Ringke Fusion or Spigen Hybrid. The branding is also off-putting, especially the P covering the Nexus in the phone itself. Not a bad case overall, but Poetic has done better in the past. There's something to be said about subtlety, and this one misses that mark.

I agree, I would rather be blunt about it than sugar coat the review and have people buy it. That would hurt my credibility and I don't see a point in offer anything anything but an 100% accurate review to the best of your ability. The plastic on mine came scratched which speaks for its quality.
Mine has scratches all over it already but I knew that coming into it. This would apply to all PC cases regardless of color. Can't compare to other similar cases as I don't have them.

Mine has a scratch on it as well, but my Spigen rugged armor has more scratches with less use. To be honest the only PC/TPU case that I've had that didn't scratch much, for over a year, was my Diztronic.
I've used Diztronic stuff in the past and generally like them but they make the same horrible mistake as Poetic and that's playing their brand aggressively on their cases.
I'm having a hard time finding a quality case with a belt clip for this phone. I have bought and sent back 2 from Amazon so far. What is the best case?
No belt clip, but I just ordered this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/192142439659
Quite like the Spigens rugged armour case for moto g5s plus.

As much as I'd like to have a slim case, I want something that feels like it's going to do a excellent job. I tried the Tudia Merge case, and it's a very nice case, but there's so very little lip protecting the screen if the phone is dropped. If the phone was to land face down on gravel or an uneven, rough surface, I wasn't confident that the case would do the job.
I settled on this. It's not the most attractive case, it's a little bulky, but the inner cover is silicone and seems like it would do an excellent job protecting the phone if it were dropped. If you go with this one, just a suggestion, once you snap on the outer polycarbonate shell, be sure to pull outward on the flexible silicone layer, to make sure it gets fitted properly. I had problems with the volume up button sticking, until I discovered that pulling on each corner of the silicone made the problem disappear.
Asmart Moto G5s Plus Case, Moto G5S+ Case from Amazon
I have this case. While it offers pretty good protection, I'm not loving it. The TPU on the bottom and top of the case does not have any hard case to support it. So, if you grab the top or bottom of the phone, the TPU stretches quite a bit and feels quite loose. And the TPU on the bottom of the phone (no hard shell) interferes with sliding it in and out of my shirt or pants pocket since the TPU is "grabby". I'm still using it though until I find a more suitable case.

Go for SPIGEN CASES
No don't they are best at this
Bit costly but worth it
It's super snug fit

I have this case. While it offers pretty good protection, I'm not loving it. The TPU on the bottom and top of the case does not have any hard case to support it. So, if you grab the top or bottom of the phone, the TPU stretches quite a bit and feels quite loose. And the TPU on the bottom of the phone (no hard shell) interferes with sliding it in and out of my shirt or pants pocket since the TPU is "grabby". I'm still using it though until I find a more suitable case.

Yeah, the grippiness is annoying. I use a Turtleback holster most of the time, which makes it a lot easier to slip in and out. I've tried a few other cases, but none offered satisfactory protection for the screen, with only a millimeter or two of raised protection.
I'm hoping that UAG or Supcase comes out with an offering for the G5S Plus. They already have one for the G5 Plus, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I got this had a Tudia on my 6P and enjoy it

Spigen. It is great. Not only does it look pretty and holds well in his hand. The disadvantage is the price - 25 Euros.
So far, this is one of my favorite cases for any phone...Has that "Sandstone" feel to it, which is really grippy. Very thin also:

Quite similar to Spigen but has extra grip in the form of silk texture.
I'm using Golden Sand too. Excellent fit, and good grip too.
Here's mine fresh from Amazon.

I've ordered Spigen and then cancelled it and ordered this one instead. I've been looking for a case for some time, and not seen it before. It must be new. I'll let you know how I like it.
Hey. I've got this one and im very satisfied with it. I had spigen on my nexus 5, but I think this oxygen case for g5s plus is even better.

Thanks just bought a gold one of the one you link to and it's excellent. I've taken the Spigen off for now as this is so good.
In Vietnam the phone comes with a free transparent case. So here's what I did with it:
