I don't have this one but I got the snap on case and it is horrible the casemate snap on was way better, it is one of the worst cases I've ever bought and I heard this company made good cases.

I second the Otterbox Commuter, it's amazing how well built this case is. I thought Incase made the best cases, but Otterbox takes the lead now.
Incipio cases are really rough and feel unfinished. The Feather case I got for my Nexus One actually damaged it slightly cause it had sharp uneven edges, not to mention cracked twice without dropping it even once.

Oh I just posted this in another thread (but is better posted in here)....
Ok well I got this Incipio silicylic hybrid case today, and I'm not that impressed.
It looks nice, and does give the extra support for the silicone down each side of the screen I was looking for. But they've totally cocked up the bottom of the case...
There is no real protection between the trackball and the USB port. The hard plastic is totally cut away there to the back of the phone, leaving a flimsy flap of silicone horizontally between the ball and port. Also the plastic and silicon is cut away right out past the dock port pins, leaving the phone body exposed to a straight down drop on its arse end due to this gaping cutout.
The plastic shell also has very sharp edges at that massive gaping cutout at the bottom too, so it needs dremmeling right out of the box.
If only they'd run a strip of plastic along that edge between trackball and usb port and not just silicone, none of this would be an issue, and it would have been my perfect case. Grrrr.

Rearth sent over to my offices the next line of slim cases for the Inspire 4G (other phones available from their online store at Rearth USA | Go ahead, judge us by the cover!), the Ringke Slim Case.
Just looking at the case gave me some doubts that this was just another ordinary eBay knock off. I was pretty wrong about that. The Rearth slim case is made of high end silicone that hugs your phone like nothing else.
Even the design and cut outs are made to be spot on. Not being intrusive to the design of the HTC Inspire 4G, the case is warm and welcoming.
The high end silicone is something to be desired. It allows for great grip around the phone entirely and fits it like a glove. If anything was to come close to this case as far as slim, it would be the Otterbox's. Nothing against the OB cases, but this is something better for those who don't like carrying around too much bulk.
For the money, it runs for $16.99. The Rearth Ringke slim case is well made and not bad for the price. Definitely a worth buy if your looking for quality, price and a nice slim cover for your phone.
Below are some images of how it compares in size to the OB Defender case.

I'm waiting for Rearth to send me their silicon case for review.
I'm currently using the Otterbox Commuter and Body Glove case so I'm interested in seeing how Rearth stacks up to those 2.

Gps works great without a case. Put on the tpu case and accuracy will go from 15 feet to 30 feet instantly, outside. Inside, will go from 30 feet to 200 feet .
It definitely doesn't like some cases.

i have a tpu and a snap on and it does not affect gps

Didn't want to make a separate thread so here goes ....
Just received my aqua black Ringke case from RearthUSA. Right off the bat I’m surprisingly pleased at the build quality. It’s perfect fitting in every sense of the word, a high quality silicon that feels very durable with a nice grip finish that gives you the added comfort that it won’t slip out of your hand that easily. The cut outs are precise and the extra lip around the camera lens provides added protection. This is arguably one of the best silicone cases I’ve ever used.
With all that said though, I personally am not a fan of silicon cases because of the overall flimsiness. While it does provide a nice snug fit, the sides are too easy to peel back which allows for all types of debris to accumulate and I’m also weary of how much protection it'll provide in case of a drop. Overall I’d have to give it a B+, not because of the quality, but because silicone is limited in how much protection it can provide.
If you’re a fan of silicone cases, this is definitely the Cabernet Sauvignon of the group.

Mine was shipped. Hopefully have it by the end of the week. Wanted orange, but it wasn't available.
Edit, I can't find a case I like. This will be my 6th case for my inspire. I went through about the same for my iPhone 4.

I got my case today, but they sent me a case for the Nexus S, I emailed Chuck to let him know I will review the case once they send out the right one. This has been a struggle, they sent the first one out and apparently they didn't put the right address or something because it got sent back to them, so they asked for my address again, and I got the case this time but the wrong one as I indicated, I guess we'll get it reviewed eventually

Funny you mention that, I'm in Wine and Redwood country here in Mendocino County

I've grown accustomed to the case since I've gotten it. i can't switch back. It feels no natural to have in your pocket, your hand. its an amazing piece of material/product.

I agree! Only time will tell how it will protect against major drops, but so far mine is holding up great! I fell reasonably protected with the case and ZAGG screen protector.

I really like mine, but it gives me the same GPS problems as other cases do. The only case I have that doesn't cause GPS issues is the Seido Innocase.
I think there is something wrong with my phone, but at&t will not swap it out for me.

MY REVIEW
OK so I've had this case on my phone for a few days now and this is what I think of it.
BUILD/CUT QUALITY:***
This case is definitely well made, it is cut to perfection. It covers all the corners well and is cut perfectly around the speakers, mic, charger, headphone jack INDIVIDUALLY which is big for me since many covers just cut a big hole around the camera/speaker in the back and the mic/charger/3.5mm jack leaving too much exposed area for dirt to get in and wear away the case. The silicone hybrid that it is made of is definitely better than any out right now and hugs the phone perfectly, it even has a small lip to keep my screen off the surface. That being said it is still a silicone case not a TPU case so it is definitely softer and may not do as good a job of protecting the phone in case of a short drop, and only time will tell if it succumbs to the classic stretching of silicone cases.
Accessibility:*****
This case is perfect as far as accessibility goes. All port are easily accessible, the usb port has plenty room for any cable. The fact that all ports and holes are cut individually means that the 3.5 is cut with a small area around it for ure headphones. though all of my headphone jacks fit just fine some people with large or oddly shaped jacks may have trouble. All the buttons are covered but the case is soft enough that it takes no extra effort to press them, unlike the TPU case I had that was quite stiff and made pressing the buttons a bit annoying.
LOOKS AND FEEL:****
This feels amazingly natural. It is not rubbery and slides in and out of my pocket as easily as the real thing. The fact that It is so thin and snug is also a plus because it adds no bulk. As far as looks go I think its kinda cool that they indented the back cover ares and flash to keep that natural look, but personally I'm not entirely digging the flat look for my phone I think I would have preferred a little more gloss.
FINAL THOUGHTS :****
This case is definitely higher quality than the silicone case/hard case fishbone that i got first which stretched and ripped in the corners after a few months. This case is also better cut and has a better lip than the TPU I just took off my phone. The only thing I really wonder is how durable it since it's in its own category being thicker than silicone yet thinner than TPU. There is no better test than the test of time but from what I've seen so far I'm hopeful this case will be with me for a while.

too bad the noise cancelling mic is covered up by this case.

I've switched back to my Otterbox case. Only reason is because after a lot of use, the Ringke case starts to sag, and the phone becomes loose inside the case, leaving about .1mm of space. I personally don't like having a loose slip cover for a phone, and it becomes annoying.

Same here, I have since tossed mine in the trash and stuck with the Otterbox Commuter case. I dropped my phone with the Ringke case on and my phone chipped right above the flash lens. I didn't even notice it until I removed the Ringke case to clean it, I was so mad.
That would have never happened with Otterbox

Otterbox Commuter vs. Trident Aegis (pics)

I thought I'd start a new thread so the photos wouldn't get lost in one of the other case threads. I received the Aegis today. My wife and I both have the Charge and I bought Commuters for both, so I was able to install the Aegis on my phone and take comparison photos for those of you wondering about the differences.
I have to thank moondrius again, since I believe he was the first to post information about the Aegis, which lead me to purchase it instead of waiting for the Kraken 2.
Aegis:
Dislikes: More difficult to put on the phone than the Commuter. If you plan on swapping batteries often I wouldn't recommend this case. Lack of protection for the hard buttons. Silicon port covers are a bit harder to open than on the Commuter.
Likes: The grip coating on the hard case. The hard case support on the top of the phone. Extra protection on corners of phone. Cover over speaker.
Notes: While the grip coating makes it slightly more difficult to slide in and out of a pocket, the flares at the top of the phone make it easy to grab when you need to remove it from a pocket. A nice little design feature. The Aegis DOES have a cover for the HDMI port. I'm not sure what the holes are for on the back of the Aegis. Heat dissipation perhaps?
Commuter:
Dislikes: Silicon easily separates from the top of the phone when phone is grabbed from the top. Hard case is slippery, so it slides off of sloped surfaces and can slip from your hand.
Likes: Hard button coverage, although dust and dirt could still migrate under the protected area. Silicon port covers are easier to open than on the Aegis. It's a bit easier to slide in and out of a pocket. Case is relatively easy to install on the phone.
Notes: The Commuter is a more svelte case than the Aegis. The Commuter DOES NOT have a cover over the HDMI port.
On to the photos (the green case is the Trident Aegis). Sorry that they're a bit out of focus, my eyes were tired right after work. I also apologize for the hair and dust, but with six furry beasts running around, keeping the phones hair free is impossible.

Commuter silicon can separate from top of phone.

Could you comment on the ease of button presses? I have the Commuter and while I like the case a lot it makes the power and volume buttons very hard to press, I have to use the edge of my thumb and give it a good jab.

Its very easy to hit buttons with the Aegis.

Thanks for this. This confirms that I won't be buying the otterbox for sure, since I hate hard plastic. I like my current Incipio, case but the trident case looks like a good alternative.

I have a quick question about the Commuter case. It looks like there is no way for the baclights for the buttons to shine through the case, is that correct? I really like the looks of the Commuter case but I am trying to figure out if covering the backlights is worth it.

You are correct. The hard buttons are completely covered, so no back-lighting will come through.

That is what I was afraid of. I really like the Commuter and it would probably be the perfect case for me if the backlights were visible. I am not sure if I am sold on the Aegis. It looks a little too big and with the plugs being harder to open it might get annoying.
I like the Incipio Silicrylic case as well, but that one has no HDMI cutout which is kinda strange. Not sure what to do at this point, but great review!

My Otterbox commuter came in the mail yesterday. Here are my thoughts:
1) The Otterbox was super easy to install and looks nice. I like how the Samsung logo is covered because of the continutity of black.
2) Wow, this is a a chunky case! It is much thicker than I thought it would be. I definately wouldn't want a thicker case.
3) On the other hand, this looks extremely sturdy (One guy dropped his on off his bike going 75mph and the phone was fine). I'm not surprised.
4) The bottom physical buttons are covered but still have a really good feel to them (possibly better than having them not covered). However, at night I will have to get used to the positions. I was surprised how I instinctively knew where the buttons go without looking anyways.
5) Plugs and other buttons are easy to access. On button is actually easier to press now.
6) Slides in an out of my pocket with ease.
7) Decent grip in my hand
Overall I'm pretty happy. It was chunkier than I thought from looking at the pictures, but it also looks a lot more solid. It has a much better hand feel without feeling bulky in my pocket.

I almost went with the Aegis, but after looking at a video review of it, I decided against it because the case looks HUGE, plus in the video they said that it almost doubles the weight of the phone. I think I have only dropped a phone like 3 times in my life so I don't need some huge case to protect my phone.
I like everything about the Commuter other than the cover over the buttons. I like to be able to feel the buttons and have the backlight (especially once we get BLN support in future ROMs). So I decided against the Commuter as well.
I ended up going with the Incipio Silicrylic case. The Incipio would probably be the PERFECT case if it had the cutout for the HDMI port, but since I don't have any plans to use the HDMI port in the near future I don't think it will bother me at all. I should have my case in a few days so hopefully I like it.

I am guessing that none of these cases are easy to remove? I seem to be swapping batteries a lot lately and would need to remove the case on occasion.

The Kraken II looks easy to remove. Mine should be here any day now so I will let you know. The Otterbox commuter is not too hard to remove. The Aegis is a little odd to put on but after doing it a few times its not a problem at all.

Looking for slim case

Hey guys I'm looking for a really slim case that isn't raised too much along the edges of the screen or cover too much of the sides of the device. A couple I'm looking at is the Obliq case, spigen capsule, spigen slim armor, or maybe the official Samsung protective case.
I have a tech 21 case now and it's ok but it's a bit bulky around the edges and kind of hides the shape of the phone.

I had the Tech21 case and currently have the Speigen Capsule and Samsung cases. The Tech21 was WAY too thick and bulky, and the buttons were hard to press. The Capsule is very thin, but has sharp edges IMO. I found it really uncomfortable to hold without it feeling like my hand may get cut (it never happened, but still hurt).
The Samsung case is awesome though. Fits beautifully and looks like it's a part of the phone. It protects really well too and hardly adds any thickness. I'd highly recommend it. It's worth the money 105%.

Look up verus iron shield champagne gold galaxy note 4 review by real reviews on YouTube thy have a link in the description probably the best thin case for the note 4 in the link the have different colors also

Ringke Slim case is the slimmest one IMO by far at the expense of drop protection. The black one has a nice matte finish while the other colors are more glossy which I don't like.
It adds the least bulk and gives a bit of protection - I've dropped my phone onto hardwood floors a couple times from 3-4 feet. The case slightly deformed but the phone was perfect. However I expect any drop onto a hard surface like concrete will break the screen.

Like the previous post stated, the Ringke slim is super thin. The SF black has good grip.
I would go with the Samsung Protective cover though. a little thicker but you are drop protected and the case feels better in hand.

Thank you guys for the ideas. I really like how slim the ringke is but it makes me a little nervous. I think I'm torn between the Samsung protective case and the verus. Both look super nice although the Samsung appears to be a bit slimmer

I have a Verus Thor on mine, and I think it's pretty amazing for its slimness to protection ratio. Camera's protected, there's enough of a lip in front to protect the screen (I've got a tempered glass protector anyway), and if there's a con, it's that it fits so tight and snug that you don't want to take it off too often; I ended up buying a new dock just so I don't have to. Well, that, and it's not highly textured or rubbery, so it feels a little smoother in the hand than I see a lot of people liking. Fell out twice at work a few days ago--once onto concrete, once onto steel car wash railings--and it still looks pristine. I highly recommend it.

If by "thick enough that the camera isnt exposed," you mean that when you rest the phone on a table, the camera lens isnt resting directly on the flat surface, then yes. There is a lip around the camera lens that will keep it from touching any flat surface.

Well after reading the comments from you guys I decided to pull the trigger on the blue Samsung protective cover. Seems like it offers good protection and a very slim form factor. I'll post some pics once it comes in the mail

That Samsung one looks nice. There is a great review on it from a guy named lawmanfj on youtube. I'll probably grab that one down the road. I just purchased the S-View case, and I really like it. It is a flip case, but it doesn't add much bulk. Seems like the drop protection might not be the best, but since it replaces your back battery cover, it's stay's slim. It does run about $26 through Amazon. I picked one up at Best Buy for a few bucks more, but got to try it out before purchasing.
You should post some pics when your case comes in, and give a review of it.

Does anyone know if there is a case like the Samsung Protective Cover, but replaces the battery door to make it slimmer? Basically i would like to find something with some protection around the edges, and a lip for the screen, but without adding to the thickness of the phone.

I Don't Recommend Dbrand skins with a Rhinoshield case.

I bought a full back skin for my Pixel XL, put it on yesterday perfectly, looks great. My phone case came today, the Rhinoshield CrashGuard bumper. First impressions look good. I take the bumper out of the packaging and it feels very sturdy. I go to put the bumper on as recommended on the packaging and it messes up my skin. I tried using a hairdryer to fix the skin, it looks better but still noticeability bad.
Also, the bumper has a rubber/plastic seal which goes around the phone. Since the case is very sturdy and it has little/no flex to it, it's difficult to get the lip to go around the device rather than folding back in on itself when the case is on. The buttons on the case are awful too, they are not clicky at all and require a lot of force to press.
The skin is so thin that it definitely is not the issue. It clearly is the bumper. If anyone has any other recommendations for protection with a dbrand skin I'd love to hear.

I don't have a dbrand skin on but I wanted to comment on the difficulty of pressing the buttons. I have a spigen rugged armor case and I was experiencing this difficulty with getting the buttons to click. One day it just started working, I must've pressed it hard enough that whatever was preventing this finally let go and started working.
My point is, give the case some time it may start working. It took over a week and a half for the buttons to click properly with the case for me.

I heard stretching the button area helps. I had issues with the button but I got used to them. I kinda like it now

Wow, some of these threads are so old. I just got this bumper yesterday. I did have this bumper for the 6P and I found out that even after time I had to cut (yes cut, but only slightly) in the inside of the gap between the button and the rest of the bumper. Just a slight cut on all three buttons and they work.

I just pre stretched the buttons on my case when it arrived before putting it on, you could feel I guess you could describe it as then cracking the first few times, then I over stretched them a bit and they have worked great since day one. So far IMO the buttons have just the right amount of stiffness, like you have to press them intentionally to have it do anything, no way you could accidentally press any of them.

Since the case is very sturdy and it has little/no flex to it, it's difficult to get the lip to go around the device rather than folding back in on itself when the case is on. The buttons on the case are awful too, they are not clicky at all and require a lot of force to press.
The skin is so thin that it definitely is not the issue. It clearly is the bumper. If anyone has any other recommendations for protection with a dbrand skin I'd love to hear.

I'm using a Spigen Liquid Crystal case over my slickwraps skin. Works perfect, doesn't mess with the skin at all. It actually helps press all the corners down after first install and still looks gorgeous!

I was using a skin fine managed to get it on (although had to cut the corners of the skin off) of course taking the rhino shield off will pull the skin off but I'm happy enough with the way it is.
I just don't wanna scratch that back glass.

Just a slight cut on all three buttons and they work.

The 6P's Rhinoshield was just terrible for that

Yeah looks like a slight revision. looks like they added more space at the bottom for chargers but unknown if they changed the buttons (Probably not)
I will say that looking at the new bit sticking up at the back the case is not gonna be even worse to get on with a skin.

Here is my CrashGuard bumper case with the Brotect Airglass protector. Love this combination!

I contacted Evolutive Labs and they sent me the revised version. I feel the buttons on this revision depresses more effortlessly than the original. Charge port cutout is also a smidgen taller and accepts the factory cable without any contact
