Will you take a Tempered glass or Plastic on your Nexus 9?
The tempered glass very helpful for anti scratch but too heavy and thick.
Price of Tempered glass much expensve than Plastic one.
$17.9/pcs of Tempered glass in this store:oiostore meanwhile $10.9 of plastic one(Nillkin Glossy)
Price is $11.9~$16.9 on aliexpress.com, different seller offer difference.
For me, I don't like any screen protector on my tablet pc....
Tempered glass feels and looks so much better. And i doubt you'll be able to notice the weight difference.
Tempered glass all the way!

I order one similar to this and there's two hole on the protector, one on top and another at the bottom. Does your have an opening for the front facing camera and another one at the bottom?
I have a tempered glass protector on my S4 and love it. The feel is superb, is not prone to becoming dull and scuffed like the film type protector and simply makes me feel I'm swiping the original surface. Can't wait to get one of these on my N9!

The link shows a glass protector for me "PLESON® Premium Google Nexus 9 Tempered Glass Screen Protector (2.5D 9H Hardness, Superslim 0.3mm)". In fact, both of those links appear to be pretty much the same thing (look at the product images with the hammer).

That's the one i ordered. it feels like any other tempered glass screen protector. but it's odd how there's an opening on the bottom of the protector. There's a opening for the front facing camera and a smaller one at the bottom. Not sure why there's one at the bottom unless there's some sensor i dont know about.

Orzly seem to make a good one, which is 0.24mm thick. Thinner than any of the links listed above.
tempered glass for quality experience
Just received and installed my Plesion tempered glass protector. It fits perfectly. The cutout is very close. So you better be extra tedious when you install it. The feel is excellent. Little to none finger prints noticed. Over all, im happy with it.
So my IVSO screen protector arrived finally, I got these:
http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00OMNEY1M/
Overall the cut is nice and is a good fit for the screen, albeit a bit tight with very little room for error. There is a nice cut out around the speakers, front camera and what I assume is the currently disabled notification LED on the bottom. I thought I messed up because I had many micro-bubbles under it after the application but those seemed to have cleared out after a few hours. The screen itself is not hampered by the glass in any way and my fingers glide across it perfectly fine. Time will tell how well this lasts but it feels solid.
I purchased this really early on when it was like 7 bucks plus 5 dollar shipping. The price has now gone up by almost 100% to 22 dollars and I'm glad I ordered it pre-production.
If you guys have any questions about it, you can ask me and I can try to answer as best as possible.

No i haven't seen them review. Perhaps the reviewer received fake item. I don't know but I'm sure mine is 100% glass.
Keep in mind these things are made and shipped from China. There is a good chance fake stuff got through distribution channels.
I've received a fake UAG case from Amazon for my old S4 before. So i know it happens.

has anyone switched from the zagg glass to the zagg hdx? Does it have the same clarity and smooth feeling?
It seems like there are mixed reviews on the texture of it. Some say it's rubbery and others say it's glasslike. Either way if the oleophobic coating is decent, it should be a nice alternative to glass. I have one on order. Gonna try it before I put the iloome on my wife's phone. I'll put up some pics and thoughts when it gets here.

I put one on yesterday. It fits very well and almost disappears once on the device. It doesn't feel as smooth as the glass. It is a liitle more grippy, but nothing like the old rubber ones. On a scale of 1 (rubber) to 10 (glass), I would rate it a seven. Very nice and entirely acceptable to me.

Agreed, im using the Spidgen protector nd its pretty good. I have to say that the Spen's low-spectrum sensitivity is almost useless now, but overall the Spen experience is good (so long as you have greased the screen with your finger oils). Is the HDX just a thicker piece of PET film?
I posted this in another board but thought I would share here also:
I wanted to update if anyone bought the Zagg tempered glass. I did some research online(including here) about the halo effect and called Zagg today. Talked to the customer service rep and she was aware of the issue and told me that they did correct it but had issues so not sending them out yet. She said they are sending a HDX out temporarily until they can send out the corrected tempered glass. So they are not charging me for the HDX (which I will get in 5-7 days) and she said to wait as long as I can and then call back and they will send me a corrected tempered glass when they are ready. Wanted to let people know to call them.

Is there any reason in particular you don't want it to cover the camera? I imagine most manufacturers thnk they might as well cover the camera and protect it from scratches aswell. And in my experience the protector doesn't affect the camera visibly.
I have heard that. I just prefer it. When you get your new s5 it has cut outs on the initial scree protector so I am surprised that even Samsung hasn't made one. I may have no choice though

Tempered glass is a thicker screen protector. Most of the time it has an oleophobic coating to prevent smudges/fingerprints.
A screen protector is worthless on an S5. This phone has gorilla glass. If you do something to damage the glass, I can pretty much guarantee that protector will fail at the same time the glass does. Save your money.

I would hardly say it's worthless to put on your phone. Can never have enough protection for an expensive device. Gorilla glass is ok, but not indestructible. The tempered glass will absorb the impact and possibly Crack in certain situations, but usually the screen underneath will still be fine... :silly:
I just got this one from Amazon yesterday it does not cover the front camera. Best part is that it's cheap and looks good.

I really don't think that covering the camera really that bad, I've got a glass screen protector on my handset and it doesn't take away any quality from my selfies! I think if it's applied incorrectly (has bubbles or dirt on the protector) then it would.

FEATURE of Temperedglass:
1. Safety. Once broken, it splits into tiny harmless pieces;
2. Hardness. 4 times harder than ordinary float glass;
3. Special logo and pattern can be printed on the tempered glass;
4. The best screen protector in resisting thermal stress and wind-load;
5. Bear sudden temperature change of 220 centigrade degree.
This is the link for OEM Temperedglass for Samsung S5/I9600:

At this point, I've tried three different glass screen protectors for the G5. I've tried a Pleson screen protector, an iCarez, and a SuperShieldz. All three of them didn't adhere and I had to through them away.
Am I the only one with this problem? I mean, there has to be a way to protect the screen, but I'm just getting so frustrated. If you have the same problem, or if you found a solution, please let me know...
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the rant. I'm just getting annoyed with what should be a straightforward process.
I had the same issue with the Tech Armor (http://www.amazon.com/Tech-Armor-Ba...-1&keywords=lg+g5+screen+protector+tech+armor).

GPEL has a model on pre-order right now for $25 ($30 msrp I guess). It appears to be made expressly contoured to fit the G5 properly, was a video on Reddit in the G5 sub showcasing it. Might be something. This is a gorilla glass phone like all the rest of them though so you'd have to really work at it to scratch it, screen protectors are not necessary.
I would hate to go back to film protectors because i've been using them for years, but I'm seeing a ton of negative thoughts about the glass versions for this phone. Might be a good idea to sacrifice the quality so the screen can be protected.
I just went to the Spigen films and it works well, smooth with no issues with installation

Not the only one, my PET screen protectors don't seem to stay adhered for more than a week. Kinda annoying. Checking Amazon reviews, there seems to be a lot of these issues.
If you like matte protectors like I do, this one has been great. I had to replace it when the spigen case (the one with the chin piece for easy battery removal) I was using peeled it back, but both installs have been flawless. I now use the thin fit spigen with 0 issues.

Very easy to install, you would never know it's on,it matches the phone perfectly. No bubbles what so ever,it does not mess with the quality of screen images or color. It fits over the curved edges nicely. It has a little bit of a lip towards the bottom,by the LG logo, but not a big deal. I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting a tempered glass screen. G-Color did a very nice job with this. It also sticks to the edges, ive had no issues.

Just got a new G5 and been lurking around for a better screen protector and read all reviews but i'm hesitant to get any of it but I might try this.
For the minute, the one that was on the phone is doing fine for me, when it needs swapping, I'll try and get a Zagg one as theyre pretty good.
I was going to go with the Pleson brand from Amazon, but the latest reviews say it lifts around the edges. I want the glass to have circular cutouts for camera/flash/mics. Has to fit well on the screen with very minor margins. Anyone find something else that fits the bill?
I'd like to know this too. Anyone?
I actually have both the Skinomi and the Pleson glass screen protector. The Skinomi brand came in slightly cracked in two different places which made two different air bubbles that wouldn't go away and got bigger day by day. I emailed Skinomi and customer support seemed really great, they sent out a replacement that got here in 4 days. Only it wasn't a replacement. I told them twice during our exchange that my device was a Moto Z Force. They sent one for a Huawei Honor 5X. I emailed them about it and they said they are now "updating the design" on the Moto Z Force techglass protector and it wont be available til the 25th of Sept. I too was skeptical about the Pleson protector but I bought it anyway and I have to say I am very satisfied with my purchase, idk what kind of crappy application the other buyers did to have so many errors on the edges of the screen but this screen protector not only covers more than the Skinomi one, but I don't have a single air bubble. I have Pleson's cheap little TPU case also, and I have to say its also nice in my opinion.
You can see from these two pictures:
1. I don't have a single air bubble (Click the picture to view the full size image)
2. The dust remover sticky thing works wonders, I literally don't have a SINGLE spec of dirt/lint under the glass.
This was AFTER removing the thing like 3 times just to get it "PERFECTLY" over the front of the device. Honestly you forget its even there with this case that covers the edges.
I went with the Sparin ones and they are great. I was actually pretty surprised. I'm very anal when it comes to screen protectors. A set of 2 and a bunch of tools in the box to get screen protector on well for only $8. It was easy to install, great fit, and touch remains delicate and precise.

You do realize Shattershield is shatterproof because the topmost layer, what you touch, isn't glass, its plastic. Which scratches insanely easily, dents easily when dropped(because plastic), and can be easily removed with a simple razor. So no, it isn't a screen protector. Which is why I say tempered glass is the way to go as tempered glass has a much higher scratch resistance than a shattershield display, and in my opinion, glass feels better than a plastic screen.

Which is why I say tempered glass is the way to go as tempered glass has a much higher scratch resistance than a shattershield display, and in my opinion, glass feels better than a plastic screen.

Any luck removing that plastic one or did you just leave it? I ordered the skinomi and kinda want to remove my already scratched stock one.

I left it, removing the plastic shattershield layer would more than likely cause more issues than necessary if you don't contact Motorola about a replacement layer. Especially if you plan to just throw on a glass screen protector on it, your phone screen might be like, concave.

Yeah and the screen can still be scratched and dented easily but won't shatter it happened on my first moto z force
So I ended up removing the Motorola shattershield with a razor. Was easy. Come in from bottom right corner to get a lip and then slowly peel off. No heat needed. It's a slightly firmer version of the skinomi plastic and I ended up putting a tempered glass replacement on it which looks and works fantastically. It really ups the look of the phone and just feels nicer

any pix? would be nice to see the difference. thanks in advance!
Definitely would dig seeing how that looks.
I've tried 2 different glass ones til I just got fed up, went to Verizon and brought the Zagg one for 34.99. Covers proper and looks and feels great.
The Pleson would've been great if it had seated around my finger print reader and ear speaker - the cut outs are very well done. It just didn't happen tho.... Ah well.

The Omoton 2 pack one on Amazon is lame - it barely covers the phone - pretty much only covers the display and stops pretty short of much else... They emailed me to explain the "curved" glass screen... Meanwhile Zagg and Pleson covered most of the screen! If we could get Pleson's cutout and Zagg's adhesive - we'd be golden.
I didnt know Zagg made a glass screen protector for the Z force?

Would like to see this as well. The wife and I both have damaged the front screen already and been waiting for Moto to come out with the replacement screen but still shows it as "Coming Soon". I have a slight scuff on the center towards the top and she actually dropped hers after tripping and chipped the screen in four spots. Kind of funny that we have never used screen protectors nor damaged one before and we get the one with the "shatterproof" screen and done it to both
Yeah, but the screen didn't shatter... [emoji14]

Glad to hear it! I totally recommend it as a go to and cut out all the guess work from the ones on Amazon
Shatter shield removed, no replacement
I removed the Shatter-Shield plastic because it was scratched and I'm planning on replacing it with tempered glass, but what they're really any be any problem with keeping the Shatter-Shield off and not replacing it? Aside from warranty issues
I have heard pro's and con's to shatter shield. Yeah it may scratch,,,but wont shatter if it is dropped. I guess that is why I put on the zagg glass screen protector asap to avoid scratches on the plastic part of screen. The Zagg screen protector from Verizon is really great looking and feels very smooth to touch way better than the original screen.

I just bought the Zagg Invisible Shield screen protector through Verizon Wireless. When I was putting it on I noticed that it doesn't cover the whole screen, in fact it doesn't even cover the display portion completely (about 1 mm on each side). Plus the edges are kind of sharp. Has anyone found a good, strong protector that covers the entire glass, not just barely over the display portion?

Seems to be an issue with all the screen protectors I've seen so far.
I just got my pixel today and installed these: Google Pixel XL Screen Protector, Fosmon 3 Pack [Full Screen Coverage | HD Crystal Clear] TPU Sticky Coating Screen Shield for Google Pixel XL https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXFJB6A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Rb.cybZB0ZRV6
It's full coverage. It's very soft, it reminds me of a wet application protector. It is also incompatible with the TPU case I have (Spigen rugged armor). The sides peel up if I try to put the case on.
Any pictures of the zagg installed ?

We're going to have to wait until Intelliarmor makes an Edge to Edge protector like they made for the Nexus 6. That was the perfect screen protector imo.

Every customer review on Amazon is pretty much negative. Still awaiting something half decent...

They look small too and reviews and pictures say as much. Don't see a halo in the photos though.

I know they're small but they cover the viewable screen which the vast majority if not all of the ones I've seen so far don't. I ordered some G-Color ones which leave 1mm of the screen either side of the protector not covered. I can live with a gap between case and protector for now as long as the screen isn't obscured by the edge of the protector.
Are there any film protectors which cover the screen better until someone gets a tempered glass right?
I've got a couple of different film ones on the way but they won't arrive till Friday onwards. The only other film one I could see on Amazon has already been confirmed to not be case compatible.

I went to Verizon and got their 3 pack of plastic screen protector for the XL. They work just fine and fit well. Using these till a good tempered glass comes along.
I ordered an icarez screen protector. It is arriving today. After reading all your reviews I am hoping that this one covers more of the screen. I will take some pics after install.

Xtremeguard's just became available. They have a 92% coupon code (Giant92) to make each one $2.00 (it's Giant92).

But this is not tempered glass. It's a film protector (protects from scratches but not cracks). Gorilla glass is already pretty scratch-proof for the most part. Looking for crack protection that glass provides.

They call their tempered glass Spartan. It's there on the page!
I've had their TGSPs for my Nexus 6P and my M9 and M8 and I really like them.

There´s a picture of the generic series but they do not have one for the Pixel. The image on the page does not go to a link. The page you linked to is only a film protector and that's the only one they have currently available.

Don't know what to tell you. I successfully ordered two of the Spartan Tempered Glass for my Pixel XL from that very page. Double-checked the link I posted just now and the radio button is there on the right-hand side of the page in the Choose Your Product Options area (3rd radio button down).
The text says, "Spartan Tempered Glass Screen $59.99 Sale Price:$24.99"
Maybe the page isn't loading right for you or something. Maybe if I get a chance later I'll post a screenshot.
