Hi everyone,
I've updated to lollipop a few days ago and since then, a few minutes after making a phone call the other person is no longer hearing me. This happens on almost 50% of the cases and does not matter if I am connected on 3G or 2G. If I call again everything is fine. Does anyone have the same problem?
Thanks,
George

I have a One S on T-Mobile USA. I had the phone since the day it was released 6 months ago. A wierd noise started 2 weeks ago when trying to dial a phone number. As soon as I hit "call" and even before it starts ringing, you can hear a white noise similar to what you hear on a TV with no signal. The noise will stay throughout the call.
The issue happens the same way on received calls. My wife has a similar phone and no issue on her end. It is not ties to a specific location.
I tried diagnosing it with T-Mobile tech support, and at the end they replace the phone. New phone arrived yesterday and same issue exists!!!! I had the SIM card replaced today and no change.
Any suggestions?
I thought it was me because I was driving or at a bad place in my home but I was wrong. My edge drops calls almost exactly at the 30-40 minute mark in my phone calls. It has happened all week but it was really noticable when it dropped and I looked at the time during one conversation. Anybody have this happen to them? I was told to replace it at a store. And we all know how plentiful the phones areā¦ .:/
I recently had this problem occur again. This is after having a new phone. I called t-mo tech support and they said that the facebook messenger app has been causing a lot of problems with the call connectivity of the phone. I just uninstalled the app and am waiting to make a long phone call to see if this was the true culprit.
sent from the Edge
I think its just T-Mobile. My calls disconnect all the time. And my phone says no network connection a lot. (Even before I got the Edge) I think when the network connection drops, so does the call. This was even worse for me on the Sprint network though so I just live with it now that I'm with T-Mobile.
Galaxy Note Edge- phone call dead
My problem is from time to time phone call will be dead like no sound at all on either side even though there is network signal and the phone is showing call duration. I have to restart the phone in order to make phone call then its fine for unspecified amount of time then it happens again. Had my Note Edge for 3 weeks now and its pain in the neck. BTW I'm from Australia.
Hello,
I'm asking for some help to diagnose my call problems on UMTS.
First of all, three things happened recently, and let's assume that they happened roughly at the same time:
I dropped my Nexus 5 on concrete shattering the screen completely;
Google released Lollipop which some people believe has problems with 3G and LTE;
I'm using a rather old SIM card manually cut to fit micro-SIM dimensions.
About two days after receiving my Nexus 5 back from guys servicing it (new LCD screen) I had a telephone conversation that was disconnecting once every minute or two. There was no problem recalling though. The same day later I noticed that dialer app says "Emergency calls only" which was pretty weird. I was on Cyanogenmod 11, some recent nightly back then.
My first guess - revert to earlier nightly via TWRP. It didn't help - I was still on emergency calls only and nobody was able to call me. However, I could browse Internet without any problems on 3G.
Second guess - clean flash stock 5.0.1. It didn't help too, however calling went back on for some time (several minutes) before breaking back to "Emergency calls only".
Third guess - buy a starter SIM and check if it works. It did at first but stopped after an hour or so.
Fourth guess - bring the phone back to guys servicing the LCD to check antennas. I've left it for two days. It was opened and antennas checked. Everything was fine, not even a bent flex.
For all this time when on 3G/LTE data transmission worked flawlessly. I could download Google Maps, browse the Internet, whatever. It's just the very basic phone function that acts weird - as if I wasn't registered to a network. Everything seems to work fine on 2G, except for very rare disconnects (once per two, or three days).
So, considering it's pretty weird I'm seeking for help - could it be possible that after hitting concrete something broke down on the motherboard that results in such weird behavior? Or is, perhaps, my retro-SIM dying? Any ideas? Maybe flashing a well-tested radio ROM? Diagnostic apps?
Hi
My girlfriend also owns a oneplus one. She had the screen repaired, since then she doesn't have signal all the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. She tried to fix it with another sim but no effect. But last week we went abroad twice and when we were abroad she had signal all the time, and as soon as we got back in Belgium she lost signal again. Now since a day or 2 she has even less signal and she can't send messages or call even with signal.
Just adding that I also own a oneplus and I use the same provider and I have signal everywhere and I have no issues at all.
Anybody that has a solution or might know what the problem is?
Thanks in advance
Anthony
