A friend of mine has the IPhone 4 and I noticed that the camera on his phone takes pictures a lot faster then my phone.
Is this a hardware or a software issue?
My camera takes time to focus then it clicks, but his phone was fast… by the time I take one picture he already took 3
any ideas?
Thanks
You can try camera 360. Anyway, focused pictures look better then the ones from iphone 4.
Fast burst worked but the Res was bad

First, pictures that need fast reaction time look crappy on any smartphone.
Second, some roms support burst mode camera.
Third, it's not an "issue" rather a difference
Fourth, mainly first and second, but also third
I really like this phone. I'm trying not to compare it to my HTC rezound. I feel like maybe I'm doing something wrong. The camera and picture quality is not as good as the HTC. Maybe in am missing the settings or something. Could someone help me out?
Thanks

The camera quality has been great for me and i'm using the AOSP camera. If your on touchwiz you can try HDR mode, but i always found the regular picture snapping to be pretty great as well.
I always have poor picture detail on any photo I zoom on. I'm not much of a camera expert though, so there may just be other settings I need to adjust in order to get a better picture for zoomed photos.

I very rarely zoom in, unless i'm using macro mode but in that case i'm practically touching whatever i'm taking a picture of.

I've had my S3 for about 4 months.
I had the SE4GT with Sprint prior.
When I first started using the S3 camera, I noticed the following differences in the pictures taken with the S3 compared to the Samsung Epic 4G Touch (S2) :
- in low light, the pictures were grainy with the S3
- zooming in on a picture already taken with the S3 is less sharp.
- the flash has an over saturating effect on the final image in certain instances. (maybe this can be resolved with a change in setting)
When I first purchased the S3, the above differences were very noticeable. 4 months later, I'm just used to them.
I've read that the 2 cameras are the same.
Maybe the quality issues have to do with Super Amoled vs. Super Amoled Plus on the S2. I'm unsure.
With the above being said, the S3 takes great pictures in the Sunlight. The color and sharpness are really nice.
I use camera zoom fx plus it has neat options here's a sample.
Oh that's my little one in her Halloween costume.

Anyone have issues with their Nexus 5's camera having different colours in the viewfinder?
My room has a reddish/pink tint from the neighbours roof reflecting into my room.
Attached photo was taken with my iPad

its whatever camera app that you're using, thats not the stock camera app. try using the default camera app.
Isn't that snapchat? Anyways mine is perfect on snapchat

Happens in stock app/Facebook/Instagram/VSCO cam, I just took this particular photo while I was in Snapchat.
Maybe those apps have poor auto-white balance

I have read a lot of reviews online and magazines and is very interested in getting this phone for my wife. She only care for the phone with the best camera. She recently got a S5 but I was thinking getting the G3 for her. Can anyone tell me how much better the camera on this phone compare to the S5 or others. Greatly appreciated.
Can't speak for the S5 but the G3 cam poops all over the M7/M8 cameras.
the s5 is going to have the better camera, but the g3's camera is no slouch, it takes wonderful photos

S5 is the better camera in daylight, indoors and night i'd side with the g3. Main thing I like about the s5 camera is the sensor shoots 16x9 photos at full resolution, while the g3 is 4x3 in 13mp

I have the S5 Active and the LG G3. I think the S5 takes better photos overall. More colors pop out in the Samsung rather than the G3. If she is looking for the best phone with a camera then take a look at either the Samsung Galaxy ZOOM or a Nokia 1020 or 1520.

It's the best camera for daytime photos without a doubt. Night and indoor is another story.

I had the S5 for 3 months and bc i got drunk and went into the ocean to take a piss with my S5 in my pocket, it died of water damage.
i got the G3 and as an avid photographer, i can tell you the S5 not only takes better pictures indoor/outdoor daylight, but also has manual adjustments that very disappointingly, the G3 did not have.
G3 does not have:
- ISO adjustment
- Light balance adjustment
- no shutter sound mute
Others mentioned the overly simplified camera was done on purpose to give all owners an easier camera shooting experience. With that said, with all the options basically being on Auto, it still takes great pictures. I just prefer the S5's more.
P.S. there are camera apps out there in the play store (i.e. A Better Camera)

I just wanted to mention the shutter mute is illegal in some places which is why it's not an option, although there are plenty of mods out there to disable it. and yeah you get more control over the camera if you use an app other than the stock one

It shouldn't be forced enabled just because of some places require the sound to be legal. especially where AT&T reside, i'm sure it's legal everywhere AT&T's network can be found.
imagine a show, concert, funeral, it's nice to have the option you know what i mean?

I completely agree with out, no doubt, however there are places, even stateside, where turning off a shutter sound is illegal, the context is usually stalking, the idea is so you can't conceal the fact you're taking a picture of someone, perhaps in a manner you shouldn't be
you mean like perverts? like upskirts and peeping tom's?
Correct

After owning a G2, yes it shoots very well and I was a bit surprised that the G3 did not either match the S5 on mp count or kept OIS.
The biggest difference with the G3 so far comparatively, has been speed and some depth. The speed of the G3 focus is insane and rapid fire picture taking is crazy good.
The screen on the g2 just looks a bit more on the solid and deep color look as compared to the g3. I prefer the screen on the g2 to be honest. Running CloudPro 2 and the camera is just that much better. Battery life kills what i had on the g3 by 2X the life span. G2 owner and happy. Had the s5 and just feel "nasty" when i hold a s5 due to just what they did or didnt pack into the device. The s5 had a great screen but thick bezels and that horrible TW! Camera was great but just cant stand SAMSUNG anymore. G2 has a few advantages over some of the high end phones and thats all I need to hear.

Does anyone else find the Z3 front camera to be really grainy when used? I feel like my S3 took better front facing shots. While I've also noticed similar issues with the back camera producing some ordinary quality photos as well, particularly when using the auto mode. I've tinkered with the manual mode and that has resulted in some better quality snaps, but I'm feeling a little underwhelmed overall with what I'm seeing.
There's so many alternative on the play store that I'm unsure what worth checking out, and what's not? Any recommendations? As I presume there are some here who are using non-stock camera apps.
Try camera360 you might like it
