Hi,
I have a Kenwood DPX405BT, now I was wondering if I could bound a button as play/pause, next, previous with long/double click to activate Google Now on my rooted LG G3?
Thanks in advance!

Using Tasker it should be possible to set up google now to start when any of these commands are received.
I hope this is of help, give it a go and let me know how it turns out. If you have any questions feel free to drop me a message
I tried serveral things with other apps I came across https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kober.headsetbutton it worked great with headset but isn't compatibel with bluetooth tho... I can't find another app to get this to work.. and i don't know witch profiles I have to set.. i have a task to start google now tho.. So I would like to double press play/pauze button and start google now
How about: the trigger being your phone's media volume, when it is 0 it opens google now? I assume you volume dial in car affects phone volume when connected? You could set this up in tasker easily

Or bypassing the stereo all together... You can set up google now to open by voice command on any screen, this would be ALOT simpler

Could I turn-off phone automatically?
Turn off requires root privileges. We plan to add them both, but for now no power off is not an available action

I would like to use the triggers
- disconnect from specific wifi network
and
- leave location (fence)
Now you can only trigger on a network or a location (I'm guessing on connecting or entering, it's not really clear in the software)
I'm assuming they'll be added in the near future?

Thanks for the suggestion! We already have Wi-Fi/Bluetooth disconnect in our development environment. Location exit is also on the list for new features. So your requests should be met soon

Remove Ads?
Just installed the app, I'd heard about it yesterday and just didn't get around to installing it. Like the look and everything so far. Question: I hate ads, is there a plan to do a Pro version or within the app pay to remove the ads on the bottom?
I've got no issues with paying for a good app and I think this is definitely a good app, but ads drive me crazy and I'll just uninstall any app rather than use it that doesn't give me an option to get rid of them.
Thanks in advance for any reply! Great work otherwise!

We are going to add an in app purchase to remove the ads in the near future. We wanted to provide the app for free yet cover some little costs like github hosting and developer accounts. I know they can be an eye sore at the bottom, but ideally you only need to see them once or twice. After we are set up you shouldn't need to come back into the app for much.

It would be nice if you could make use of Activity Recognition. If "Driving", then disable Wi-Fi. Is this possible? Maybe in a feature version?

We've started playing with activity recognition. We just want to make sure its stable, accurate, and battery safe before implementing it.

Would like to see the option to use secure settings as an action. Great app. Thanks!
Great app with good User freindly UI unlike Tasker which is too confusing.
Just 2 issues,
1-Why there is no Ringer Volume option in Action ? it seem it is basic thing one would like to do lower the volume of ringer at home and higher outside. I see all other volume option except Ringer.
2- I want to set a location base Triger but the map never load i only get the white page,i see GPS icon kick in my status bar for 2 sec and then disappear but no map loaded,. When I open Google map app it is working perfectly. any idea what is the issue ?

Hey thanks for trying the app. Call volume is the ringer volume.
Do you have network connectivity? I'm not sure why it wouldn't show the map. Unless it was not connected to the internet or the apk was signed with a different cert.

Thanks for the quick reply, You should rename the Call volume to Ringer Volume is people will get confuse. Because Call volume is some thing else it is the volume that is during a call.
I do have the internet, I am at home with WIFI also the google map app is loading normaly. I will check if it is not xprivacy which blocked something it shouldnt

Ok for map it was xprivacy which was blocking access to the internet. Now it is working.
I have a set a profile for home, location based, I am home right now and I see nothing get changed and there is nothing in notification either. How to run the app ?

Did you save the Location Trigger? Is there one listed in the Profile'sTrigger list? Is your GPS enabled? How about WiFi and Cell Location? If your device can not get a lock on your location there is no way for it to fire. Once a Location Trigger is saved we should handle the rest.

I know you can press and hold the power button to get to Airplane Mode quickly, which is nice. But I would love to hear if anyone has discovered a quick way to toggle on/off connection settings such as BT, GPS, etc. What about others? It would be nice if Samsung made it possible to swipe down to toggle specific settings, similar to Android.
To take a screenshot hold the home button and then swipe from left to right. The screenshot will appear in the gallery app.
Hold the home button until the power menu appears. Keep holding the button until the screen goes dark. The watch will reboot.
---------- Post added at 04:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:02 PM ----------
Complex, animated watch faces can hog resources even when the watch is dark, interfering with playing music and using S-health and 3G all at the same time (which really pushes the little device to the limit).
Switch to a simple face if planning to use a 3G version standalone while exercising.
Discovered this trying to stream Milk Music using a BT headset while doing 5000 steps of exercise walking. I was using the Mechano watch face.
Hello i got my honor note 10 i love it but there are some things I don't like about it, one very annoying thing that i just cant figure out is how to get notifications on my lockscreen permanently, they only appear on my lockreen if i get them while my screen is locked. With all music players? Only changes the volume.
Hi,
It seems what you want to do cannot be achieved within EMUI directly. Which is weird because other devices allow to do so and given how it's marketed by Honor, it should allow such basic commands.
So only thing I can think of is to try to get an app that will allow you to remap your buttons from the Play Store. And hope one of them will allow you to do what you are looking for...
PLEASE NOTE : some of those apps will not work when display is "off". So you may want to turn on "Always on" feature (in the screen locking settings at the bottom...).
Hope this can be of any help...
Regards.

Google Play Music for some reason works, it's integrated with Huawei's lock screen. Not sure why.

Yeah. Most of them have properly working lockscreens that shows notifications from apps.
Huawei's implementation? Sometimes it shows, sometimes it doesn't. Mostly it doesn't. Even after enabling all the options.
They also mangled the double click power button for camera shortcut. Try to activate the camera shortcut when listening to music or watching a video. The worse part is that they don't even use the double power button shortcut for anything.
Is anyone else having trouble with long pressing the home button not launching an assistant? I found the setting to switch the assistant from Bixby to Google Assistant. However, long pressing the home button doesn't launch anything no matter what assistant app is selected. fwiw my device is the VZW variant.

Thanks @PsiPhiDan. Switching launchers is a good idea. Oddly enough, I just tried Nova Launcher and have the same issue. When I set up my device I opted to transfer settings from my Note 10+. Wondering if I should just wipe and start fresh.

That's your problem there have been numerous post about that on this forum. Do a FDR and setup from scratch and your problem will be gone.
Appreciate the tip. I somehow did not come across those posts and wasn't aware. I don't normally transfer anything to a new device but did not feel like setting up all of my notifications all over again so I guess that'll teach me lol. Thank you!

That's what I have clicked on in my screenshot above but there is no response at all to Long pressing the home button. in fact I tried the other choices that are available and none of them are triggered with a long press of the home button. a suggestion earlier in the thread believes it is because I opted to migrate my settings from my previous device.

I can confirm that a FDR (with no settings migration) fixed my issue.
