I'm on CM11s 44s. I use greenify and tasker.
Under accessibility on settings, i turn greenify and tasker on but after awhile they automatically turn off. Anyone here knows a fix?
Been searching awhile now and still havent seen a fix.
I also noticed it on mahdi and on 38r.

I have tried a few auto turn off apps on my transformer while screen is off but WIFI still stays on. These Apps work well on My Samsung galaxy.
Another thing I noticed is that everytime I set the WIFI disconnect policy to turn off wifi when screen is off. The setting goes back to "never". Not sure how it gets reset, and maybe thats why these apps do not work.
Any ideas?
revolver parts wit revolver rom, the revolver parts app let you turn of wifi automatic
I am on stock rom for now, until I read thru all of the forum and get comfortable with switching rom. I am rooted atleast and have CWM installed.
So is there any other app?
Auto airplane mode from the market. It turned off for me.
Try with Tasker
will try auto airplane mode but I need something that turns off wifi when screen goes off.
Also, afraid to buy tasker before I know it works.

Auto Airplane Mode will turn WiFi off when screen shut off.
I use it, work great. The one I use for some reason is not in the market any more
but there are others.
TRIED auto airplane and did not work.
I think the issue is that something always changes the setting to never turn wifi off . Instead of what I keep on setting it to disable wifi when screen is off.
Is there a app that is changing the wifi policy settings>?
green power app fixed my problem. found this out in another thread.
I'm using tasker with a profile to turn airplane mode on 5 minutes after display goes down. It doesn't sleep if there are certain apps which require internet connection (tunein radio for example) and turns off airplane mode for 1 minute every 30 minutes.
I'd never used tasker before, i own an Android phone too, but i found it simply amazing!
Seems like you have an app that wants to keep wifi on. If I were you, I'd try to get to the bottom of this and figure out which app is causing this issue to occur. In fact, the culprit sounds fishy.
Hey guys,
I recently downloaded the tasker application. Currently I am trying to get the brightness to 100% when it is receiving power (plugged in), and 25% brightness when it is removed. I tried enabling the check box which says "Immediate Effect." However, I still have to turn the screen on and off for it to work. I also tried using automateit, same problem, I must turn off and on the display. I did make a crude workaround by having tasker turn off and on the display so the brightness would adjust, but I would rather have it adjust without turnong on/off the screen. Are there any apps that could be interfering with it? I am using an unrooted ICS Droid Razr.
If there are any other posts which could help with this problem please link? (I couldn't find any)
Thanks
I have only noticed this issue since the OTA update to Jelly Bean, so am guessing it must be tied to that. In a nutshell, WIFI will not turn off when my Infinity goes to sleep (whether I push the button to manually put it to sleep or if it times out and goes on its own). I've tried setting the Wi-Fi>Advanced>Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep setting to "Only when plugged in" and "Never", but neither work. In fact, when I go back to check those settings after waking the unit back up the setting is always set back to "Always" even when I change it. I've toggled the sleep option in the Developer Options to make sure it is allowing the unit to sleep, and I've also disabled the Network notification function, and even set the Disconnect network during sleep option in the ASUS customized settings. None of these things are working, and no matter what I do the Infinity is now keeping WIFI going when asleep, which is really eating up my battery life. I also had issues with the unit auto-rebooting after the JB update, so last night I went ahead and did a factory reset, hoping it might take care of both issues. That seems to have fixed the auto-rebooting issue, but I'm still having this annoying issue with the WIFI. I use Juice Defender on my Galaxy Note to manage WIFI, so I figured I'd give that a shot on here, but it doesn't appear able to turn WIFI off either when the unit goes to sleep.
Is anyone else experiencing this sort of issue? Any thoughts?
The unit is rooted, but not unlocked, so running the stock JB ROM.
I had the same exact problem on my Prime, luckily its not present on my Infinity.
Anyway what I used to combat this issue is this app:
Auto Airplane Mode

Thanks, I may check it out. I hate to have to use a workaround, but also hate having the battery drain while it's sleeping (and don't want to have to manually power off or turn off wifi, etc).
anyone have any idea how to reduce this wake lock, have about 1hr + of this wakelock during my sleep
Try turning off, freezing, hangouts and see if it goes away. Just an educated guess. I think it's caused by hangouts syncing
Some good info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811365

I'm also experiencing this problem. I've tried disabling many Google apps (including hangouts) and disabling Google Play Services that were always running but nothing works. All I know is that it's related to mobile data (It goes away on WIFI, airplane mode or simply turning data off) and that it's not caused by a third party app (Safe mode doesn't help either). Did you ever foind a solution for this?, please let me know. I'm getting real sick of this and I'm considering installing CM or downgrading to 5.0.1, which worked perfectly.
Literally the SECOND i turn my screen off, its almost instant my music stops playing.
This only happens with streaming services such as Spotify or soundcloud, so it is likely to be a wifi setting right?
I don't have Stamina turned on. I do however have Greenify and Amplify installed.
I have also created a tasker profile, using the musictrack variable to keep wifi on when a song is playing, but it hasn't worked.
Has anyone experienced this?

What I'm assuming is causing the problem (since you don't have stamina mode on) is Amplify. Try some troubleshooting and disable Amplify in Xposed, reboot, and test again. If that's the cause there MAY be a way to exclude your music app or WiFi in Amplify but it's been a while since I've used it.
If that's not it, I would use process of elimination like you did with Amplify with any other apps (like Greenify) by freezing them with Titanium Backup or a similar app.
I found a solution to the problem and it was indeed Amplify.
I recently had to restore my phone via TWRP and i had obiously limited the "audiomix" feature which is known to cause this issue at the time of the backup.
I did try to delete this post, but there is no option to
