[Q] Network drop and music player lag problem - Sony Xperia E3

I have been experiencing two issue's with my sony xperia e3
1) Sometimes it displays no service , and when i try to search and select the network provider manually it show me "could not connect to network please try again after sometime" and after few hours i automatically get the network back.I have faced this problem twice.
2) When im listing songs using walkman many times the song hangs for few sec's and then it normal....I experience this issue many times.
Please provide a appropriate solution for above problems.

Not only walkman hangs but another music players like Google Play Music, Rocket Player etc...also get this bug. Just wait for the next update. This bug has been reported by many people from Talk Sonymobile forum.

Sorry, I can't help, just say +1. I cant get connection at all if using sim1 slot, jut get *some* data when using sim2 slot. If you find any solution or workaround, pls post here.

i,ve got an update for walkman app after that update i am not having this problem. on walk man app.

Mine after getting update 8.5.A.06, this bug occurs even more times than the previous version.

[Q] Xperia L issues

Hello Guys..
I am in need of help here..i just bought a Xperia L and i am following below issues with it. I would be so very thankful if anyone can guide me on how to solve these.
1. Voice quality is very bad in calls, voice gets distorted, sometimes i can hear weird buzzing noise. It feels like i am bck in 90's and talking with a wired phone.
2. Whenever i start chrome, it gets a hot reboot.
3. Touch is very poor specially Pinch and zoom in gallery and keyboard typing (i am using swiftkey).
Is there any way to solve these problems. I am on stock, unrooted. Running latest softwares

1. What network are you on? Do you have this problem when you are outside? This is mostly network related. As an example: Voice quality on the T-Mobile network in my area is crap while other network operators are fine.
2. Delete Chrome's data & cache. Or try another browser like Dolphin, Opera or AOSP.
3. Seems like a calibration problem. I dunno if there is a way to calibrate the screen.
hey man these are not common problem i have the same phone without these bugs the only issue is sometime in some games multitouch not working and i don't know how to solve ur problem try format ur phone to factory reset or try sus repair may be it will fix ur problem and ones more the stock xperia keyboard is the best one use it...

1. I am from india and i am on vodafone network, will try using some other network.
2. I tried clearing chrome's data...yea i am using firefox now and its working fine but the thing is that i use chrome on ma laptop and its sync feature is just awesome.

Can also sync Firefox to PC browser; took me a while to figure out how to do it, but once done, bookmarks are sync from pc to your mobile.

Try Factory Resetting the phone , if it still doesn't fix , try flashing the latest.ftf firmware with flashtool . Just google the flashtool .

Since updating to the latest firmware I can no longer receive MMS, how great...
Edit: It was Hangouts causing the problem. They seem to have bugged out after the update.

MOKEE 4.4.2 Network Issue - GT-P3100

Okay so i have 4.4.2 in my gt-p3100 and am facing continuous network loss.
One second its there and the other second it says no service.
Then it identifies my cell network but shows this -
No Service- TATA DOCOMO
(Tata docomo is my network provider)
This happens usually when i am about to make a call or message or about to recieve a call or message.
The incoming call gets displayed for a split second and then bam..!
The network goes away.
And then again it shows no service and the cycle continues.
Toggling the airplane mode on and off sometimes helps, but mostly i cant get it even after several reboots or sim changes and everything.
I am really annoyed now.
This started only 5-6 days ago.
I completely reformatted this tab and had a fresh install but still it continues.
I have a custom messaging app called 8sms and xposed framework installed although i use just X-Privacy.
Besides i read that moto G users in my region are facing the same issue in their current KitKat version.

Clean install ROM. do not restore backup apps first. first log-in through your google account and restore all..
I experience same problem with other roms also slimkat, sensonic, dhollmen. what i did is restore my contacts and apn setting from my google account not from a backup. i hope this helps.
Well i had just cleaned and installed but what i did was let google restore the contacts and apn.
Then i manually restored some apks via app backup and restore.
And then i used Titanium Backup to restore the data in all of them.
Is this the wrong way.?

@gangpe well i changed the APN as u said.
But i was playing GTA San Andreas.
And a call came and it rang for a split second and then same..the network goes away.
But it came back automatically.
Still the issue is not solved coz it happens randomly .
Is the apn still there, or did it disappear? I ran into an issue once where the apn did not save for some reason...

I chose the same name for it too, would that conflict.?
Also randomly it happens when sending/recieving a message too.
I click on send and suddenly it says no service and then the message cannot be sent even after 2-3 reboots. :-/

Not sure what to tell you. A few days ago, I had a few weird issues (could not install xposed framework, quick settings panel would not work), so I ended up wiping cache, data, system, and dalvik. After wiping, I re-installed the ROM, and I have been good since.
In my case, there was probably an old setting I had that was causing issues. If you haven't tried wiping those four options, then I would suggest you try wiping/reinstalling.
If you have tried that, not really sure what to say. Sounds like you might need to head back to stock for a while until a later release resolves the issue.
Mmmm...the thing u are telling is a case of wrong dirty flash of a rom, i mean u must have flashed a previous version rom without wiping over other rom version.
I have faced this too..but the thing i was facing seems to have gone now on current latest release.
Dont know but i did not fixed permissions from TWRP this time after OTA and now the issue hasnt surfaced since 24 hours.
Maybe i'l wait some more and check and report back here.

Wtf is this sorcery.. I was watching a vid on MX player and again the no network issue started happening as soon as a call came....!
This MX player is the culprit i think..usually while watching vids this happens...
Same issue for me on p5100, it happens both on Dhollmen and Mokee.
I don't have MX player installed.
Often happens when watching videos, but I'm not sure if it happens ONLY WHEN watching videos.
However, no further way out than rebooting.

Well i am facing this randomly..but usually while mx player is on.
I cant seem to find any solution to this.
In rare cases i need 2-3 reboots to fix this.
M soo very disappointed guys.
Have not a single site as great as xda and not many people are even looking at our problem.
I generalized the problem to most full screen apps.
And it happens usually while pausing the app and flicking down the status bar and doing some multitasking from there or pressing the home button.
Anyone....???

Omni has just this battery drain issue.
It seems no one knows about the problem we are facing on mokee.

No issues till now, a little different from mokee and you'l be glad you did as mokee's OTA are dead too..

Pop up "managed roaming" on the screen every 15 seconds

Let me submit here a problem that rots me life:I have a Xiaomi Mi4i and despite the updated 5.9.16, I have a problem with pop-up that appears every 30 seconds indicating the "Managed Roaming (Sub1) ....

It is a message that tells you that your network operator you manually select from one of two sim cards is not captured and invites you to choose another manually or set to automatic mode.I'm forced to choose between cancel or ok to make disappear this message that highlights on the screen and causing interference on my running applications. Since I am in the border area, and that according to the side where I am of the border, there is always one of the two SIM cards no longer picks up the signal. I can not afford to let the sim cards in the automatic mode because roaming is too expensive and it's also the reason that made me choose this dual sim. Suddenly, the pop-up turns on the screen every 15 sercondes and it rots me, every time I pick up the phone I need to click cancel and it turns round. It annoys me so much that if I do not find a solution I'll have to buy another phone ... It's so stupid but I have no solution, I had the same problem with a MI2 2 years ago and I had to put it in a drawer ... I thought that since that time, problem had been resolved. But I can not be the one to meet this concern all the same! I tried everything without success.
I specify that I tried all possible versions miui and the problem is the same.
I think it is imperative that developers delete this message pop-up screen and simply leave the choice to seek a network from the notifications bar !!! I have a bottle thrown into the sea via the application "BUG" pending .. If someone has another solution waiting for the grace of an update includes a fix, I'd be eternally grateful to him ...

It's 2018 and the problem still here, but there's good news. I know it's an old thread, but this provides a possible solution. On Android 8, on the Available Networks screen, you can tap Choose Automatically and the problem stops, even if you are unable to connect to a network. Might also work for other android versions.
I have xiaomi a1 and still same problem.
If I put on automatic, phone will change to roaming network and I dont want that!
Im still on stock rom. If I take some custom rom will I have same problem.

UK- Sky Go app

Since getting the XZ my Sky Go app does not work anymore. I have spoke to the sky tech department said they did not know why, probably that the app is incompatible with the XZ. If anyone else has it working please let me know so I can confirm this.
Sky also said that they would not look into making it compatible unless 5 other users complained. So if you would like to raise the issue with them please call their troubleshooting department and tell them it does not work.
The issue is that when I try and watch any channel I get the buffering screen and then the following error message
A technical problem occurred - please try again later. The media source open timed out.

Cheers, but thats not the issue. The app loads for me as well, and it plays the ads and sky news. Its every other channel that does not work. The ads and sky news are available even for non sky subscribers.
Try going to the 'on now' section and watching a channel from there. You need a sky subscription, but its that which is not working.

However just tried On Now > Gold > Open all hours.
(WiFi and mobile EE)
Phone purchased from Clove hence no network bloatware as such.
Maybe that the difference in our phones or try your phone with somebody's EE SIM if your phone is unlocked, see what happens.

Thanks, that confirms for me that the app is compatible with our phones and sky are talking tosh!
I will get back in touch with them and see what happens.
Through inference I assume you bought your phone through your carrie hence the difference is either your SIM. Try another SIM. Or it's your branded EE phone is preventing sky go.

Yes, I got it through my carrier, but its 3 not ee.
All 3 phones come unlocked so I could try another sim, but I cannot imagine why 3 would block it, and sky didn't say anything about it being an issue.... And that would not make a difference on wifi anyway.
I resolved this issue by doing a factory reset. I didn't want to do this as I had used my google backup to set up the phone in the initial setup. It seems something from that backup meant that the app wouldn't load the media stream. What I did notice was that vodafonewifi was included in my saved networks and I could not delete it, there was no option to forget it like with other saved networks. After doing the factory reset and restoring everything else other than saved networks it worked.
A right PITA that transferring data from my Z3 to the XZ meant an app couldn't work and that I had to do it all manually....

Aha. I think I know what happened:
When you use SkyGo, there are device specific bits of information stored onto your phone. They are unique to you phone. If you moved these bits of info from a previous phone, you will confuse the SkyGo app (specifically it's content protection systems).

Network issue or server lost problem

I'm facing a strange network error in my OnePlus Nord. Most of the time it can't connect to internet from Google app, Google widget and Google assistant on mobile data. On wifi works fine and other apps in background can use internet at the same time.
You allready submitted the issue(in you're other thread), and if you look closely at OP Forum it's a known bug especially with some carriers. Best to make a bug report @op Forum. So they can take it in their next update (hopefully). Guess it affects many users (including me). I will rapport it also. The more the better. So you are not alone. I don't know if OP Staff looks here @XDA.

Nobody can answer that mate, you just have to backup your data, do the fastboot flashing, restore and try again

When I connected to a VPN, there no such problem, kindly define the issue or u have any idea ? What cause the problem.

The same here. Assistant replies with "No connection at the time".
As soon as i open any other app that connects fine and assistent works again as well.
same problem here, i have moved from moto z2 force which had network constantly restarted so my frustration is at limit
Same here, I may return mine cause it poised me for one month, I use map everyday and Google search 1 time out of 3 it does not work.
Today I noticed my screen is becoming purple/red when I lower brightness, also auto brightness never worked as intended.
Too much issues. I tried getting help from oneplus but they just told me to clear cache, factory reset blablabla. I offered the same phone to my g friend she has the same issues.
Btw a colleague got a 7 pro, same issues but a different career operator than us.
Have you tried with a custom rom ? So we will now if it's software or hardware related...
I am also facing the same Network issues. it dosen't happen all the time but once a day it does occur.
First try this morning
Just a suggestion , not sure it will work or not. There is private DNS settings under wifi and network, try to tinker with it.
Tried Automatic and Off, no differences.
Can you try once with selecting private DNS provider option and input this - 1dot1dot1dot1.cloudflare-dns.com
