I'm trying to enable multiple users on the latest 4.4.4 ROM but every time I create an user I get com.motorola.process.system FC when setting up the user, the error doesn't stops until I delete the user I just created.
Anyone has info on how to get rid of the error?

Hello
I have an unrooted P5110 with CWM and trying to get "CM 10.1.1 stable" patched with openpdroid AND multi User function.
Reason:
with openpdroid I would like to restrict unnecessary rights of apps, in particular for games used by my kids
with Multi Users in combination with the "Multi-User App Share" App I want to define which Apps are visible to my kids- I.e. I can make only their games visible and hide anything else.
First of all I tried the cm-10.1.1-p5110.zip from the official CM website to check if Multi Users really work now with JB 4.2 - yes, it does. After creating a new user I can log in and will be guided through the setup procedure - very nice, also to keep my wife's and my own data separate!
Then I patched this ROM with openpdroid via ApG. This was successful and the ROM installed was stable with the exception of a single point: Multi Users does not work anymore!
I can still add a user,
Code:
pm get-max-users
shows that 5 users are enabled.
I can also add a "new user" (Settings/Users) bringing me to the login-screen after I confirmed I will set up the new user now.
But when trying to log in as a New User, the Setup crashes and I get a black screen with a series of error messages:
Code:
Unfortunately Setup wizard has stopped.
Unfortunately, Adroid keyboard (AOSP) has stopped.
Unfortunately, Google-Text-to-speech Engine has stopped.
Unfortunately, android.process.acore has stopped.
Unfortunately, Calendar Storage has stopped.
Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped.
Unfortunately, cLock has stopped.
Unfortunately, Maps has stopped.
These error messages are recurring in random order, I need to press "OK" to get the next. The only way to get out is keeping the power button pressed for some seconds and cancelling the Reboot dialog. Then I can log in again (as primary user), the error messages appear once again and then it's OK again.
Since the fresh install of the unpatched ROM works but the patched with openpdroid not, I think I can relate this issue to the patch - isn't it?
I also tried gapps gapps-jb-20130301-signed and the newer gapps-jb-20130606-signed for JB 4.2.2 - but both don't remove this error.
Questions:
Did anyone else experience such an issue and knows how to fix this?
I'm not experienced in patching, so ApG was the first choice. Do you think patching via Linux in a Shell would make a difference?
Or are there any other solutions?
thanks & best regards
Marco
In several threads - and on other sites as well - people complain about this error. It occurs when installing / updating from playstore.
I could produce - and make disappear - this error by freezing / thawing the system app Package Access Helper (on a custom rom based on 4.2.2)
Hope this helps.
Resurrecting an old threads here, but I was thrown by this Play Store error 110. And I concur with the above poster, in that freezing PACKAGE ACCESS HELPER (via TiB) creates this error, whilst defrosting it, cures it. I hope this is of some help to somebody!!
I am continuously getting this error and I am unable to use the phone.
I found an article on phone spy and found it very interesting and hence I followed the steps given on that page mobipast . com / android /
Then I thought it was some spyware malware or unwanted stuff and ignore it. After sometime I saw this message "Unfortunately com.android.preference.help has stopped" appearing continuously. The only way I can stop this message is by going into Settings->Accessibility->com.android.preference.help and turning it from OFF to ON
This option was not there before in settings, it came after installing the apk from android . mobipast . com
Now I cannot find that installed apk anywhere. I am assuming that if I uninstall that app, this issue will be resolved but unable to find name of the app.
Let me know if i need to provide any further info.
Thank you

ISSUE RESOLVED
Settings->Accessibility : Turn OFF com.android.preference.help
Settings->App->Downloaded : Clear cache, clear data and uninstall com.android.preference.help
I also did Settings->App->All : Press menu button and click Reset App Preference (optional)
Now its gone from Accessibility and the error has also stopped
I run SlimSaber that uses CM12 firmware and that includes the Download application that I think manages downloads (?). When I download a file it's the application that generates the Download Completed notification. Problem is, that even after deleting the downloaded file, clearing it from the download list in the Download application and after multiple days and reboots the notifications keep being generated.
Does anyone know why this is and how it can be stopped.
Using CM, 13.1, android 6.01.
I have a problem where I can't install apps from APKs and I can't open "permissions" tab in App info. Instead, I get the message "Unfortunately, Package installer has stopped".
I already tried to google, and toggling the unknown sources doesn't work. I try to delete cache and restored to factory setting, but the error remains.
any help is welcome
Still need help
I tried using app ops, but seems it is ****ed on M.
A different permission manager allows me to modify existing permissions but I can't add new ones. As a result I can't record voice messages on WhatsApp for example.
Any advice is welcome.
