Hi folks,
I would like to remove Dual Sim Setting option from setting menu in xt1033.
For changing settings of Dual Sim i would rather want to have a application shortcut in my launcher.
Anybody having option how to do that.
Note :- Development through Xposed is preferred.
Thanks in advance
do you use second sim ?

Yes i want you second sim, but i want to hide the setting option from settings. I would like the dual sim option in launcher instead, so that i can hide the option from their on need basis.
Actually i want my phone to pretend a single sim phone while as administrator configuration for secondary sim can be changed.
Well I thought you need only 1 sim well then you need to code yourself and make a XDA module. As per mine knowledge there is no module that can do so. Also no other ROM gives you this option...

Well... You can Use Gravity Box and Moto CheckBox apps to remove signal icons and other options for secondary sim when there is no SIM Card Present. However hiding only sim settings options from settings is not easy without hard coding that in a module.
Wait for lollipop it might have Multiuser option and it might have that specific part's restriction option for guest mode.
Note: To restrict settings altogether you can use Applock and Guest Mode.

Is it possible in a dual sim phone to set which sim it will use in a contact based way? I mean, when I call "Home" it should automatically use Sim2, when I call Job it will automatically use Sim1, and so on?
Because as far as I know most dual-sim popups a menu asking which sim to use everytime you make a phone call.
Hello, anybody there?
Should be possible

Hi ,
NGM mobile has that option.
See their manual on ngm-mobile dot com website with extension
images/Documenti/EN/NGM%20Smart%20Dial_EN.pdf
They say to activate "associate contacts" in the Settings -> SIM setting. But on my phone the option to do that just isn't there.

Salvolin
Check out the app “SIM Selector”. I must say it wasn’t first mentioned by me, but by Zimtsäure in this post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44478879&postcount=83.

Hey Solvolin! Thank you very much... if wasn't you I had give up on finding a program like this... it works! Razr D3 XT920
Hi,
could you sent the screenshot with call register from SIM Selector apk (with dual sim)?
So, every time I dial a contact I need to select which sim to use. This is fine when using the dial pad, but its a bit annoying when using direct dial.
Is there any way to pre assign a sim to a specific contact or do something similar to automatic sim selection, like what Motorola has?
Thanks in advance

On stock I don't think so. I use the pixelphone pro dialer where you can select defaults for each sim.
Lolipop Dual SIM automatic selection problem
Hi, well, alternative dialers were always here - I personally use TrueDialer, which automatically detect preffered SIM based on Call history and other parameters
BUT - after upgrade to Lolipop on Xperia Z3 dual sim, this not possible anymore. Since the upgrade Truedialer and others automatically selects the right SIM but then SIM selection from the system pops up anyway . This is an annoying problem - anybody know how to fix it?
Cheers

Have you tried pixelphone? I don't have lollipop so can't test it.

Hi All
Dont know how many of us use dual sim phones on hear, or how you use it.
I like to give different people different numbers.
I had an app dual sim selector pro working on my s9 but it doesn't work on my S10, I was able to dial a number the app would ask me to select which sim I wanted to use and the next time I dialed the number it would automatically use the same sim.
Dose anyone know of a similar app
Thanks in ad
The built in dialer already does this, it will save the number with the sim icon on the left, if you want to change the default just tap the 3 dots and select call with sim 1|2
I'm also interested since "dual sim selector pro" has been discontinued.
The app provided additional benefits such as assigning a default sim to account. So all numbers in my work account use my work sim, and all numbers in my google account use my own sim.

Hi maddow
I found that by downloading the apk and installing it it still works as before
Why was dual Sim selector pro app discontinued? Why does it consume battery? I can't put it to sleep because it won't work when I needed it to decide for me which Sim to use. I also have a corporate Sim and a personal Sim.
FYI, I found that this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steffen_b.multisimselector&hl=nl
Now does about the same as the old "dual sim selector pro"
Pretty much the question title...
I only have SIM1 enabled, SIM2 is disabled but I get a gray icon.
Can this be disabled somehow?
Settings>display>status bar>icon manager is where you should be able to turn this icon on or off, but afaik this is persistent and can't be turned off unless you remove the second sim.

There is no option for individual SIMs in the Icon Manager, unfortunately.
I don't have second Sim icon. Maybe you've inserted sim card in second slot?
Edit: oh, you have both Sim cards. Seems like there is no option for such situation.
Maybe try System Tuner? It might be able to let you toggle off the sim icons.

Yes, I have 2 SIMs inserted, one is disabled.
Actually, maybe it makes sense to show both and the second grayed because it's disabled. I never tried with just 1 inserted but it will probably hide the second icon if I do that.
Sorry for the confusion.
Just found this: https://github.com/ungeeked/Aether/releases/tag/1.2
Added an option to hide disabled sim icon

I bring up the config for the universal enabler but it doesn't add options to my system menu, any ideas? Thanks!
It is possible that a sim card that turned on VOLTE on an old phone won't achieve the same thing on a new phone. A fresh sim card might work?
