900TM Possible to enable VoLTE? Universal enabler appears to work but wont add VoLTE option in menu - LG Velvet Questions & Answers

I bring up the config for the universal enabler but it doesn't add options to my system menu, any ideas? Thanks!

It is possible that a sim card that turned on VOLTE on an old phone won't achieve the same thing on a new phone. A fresh sim card might work?

Yes i want you second sim, but i want to hide the setting option from settings. I would like the dual sim option in launcher instead, so that i can hide the option from their on need basis.
Actually i want my phone to pretend a single sim phone while as administrator configuration for secondary sim can be changed.
Well I thought you need only 1 sim well then you need to code yourself and make a XDA module. As per mine knowledge there is no module that can do so. Also no other ROM gives you this option...

Well... You can Use Gravity Box and Moto CheckBox apps to remove signal icons and other options for secondary sim when there is no SIM Card Present. However hiding only sim settings options from settings is not easy without hard coding that in a module.
Wait for lollipop it might have Multiuser option and it might have that specific part's restriction option for guest mode.
Note: To restrict settings altogether you can use Applock and Guest Mode.

Enabling VoLTE on J710F-2016?

Is there any way to enable VoLTE? 4G works, but I can't find the option to turn on VoLTE. This is mainly to use with Jio. I'm rooted, so maybe modifying some files might do it? Thanks for the help.
Hit play store and DL hidden android settings. Go into radio info, and the option will be there to turn off the volte provisioned flag.

Possible call fix for Sprint and other devices running P

I'm on Sprint and was never able to make or receive calls regardless of Network settings in the easily accessible options menu after flashing the P Preview.
The following fixed my issue. You can access this menu without downloading an app but I forget how so it's easier to just download the free app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xsquarestudio.forcelte
I had my network mode set to LTE/CDMA when first using this app, and somewhere in the middle I changed it to CDMA but I'm not sure how much that impacted the actual fix.
These were my steps. I'm not responsible for any damage this may cause to your device as I'm not sure if messing with these settings is foolproof or not.
First, opened previously linked app "Force LTE" then under "Set Preferred Network Type" I changed to CDMA only. Enabled/disabled airplane mode. This seemed to do nothing as LTE was still showing in statusbar.
I then chose CDMA auto (PRL), airplane mode on/off, didn't seem to do much either. LTE still showed in statusbar and couldn't make calls. Also "Voice Network Type" showed "Emergency Calls only" inside the app.
I then chose the 3 dot menu and chose "select radio band". I changed that to United States, without resolving problem. Then selected "Cellular 800" and this may have solved the problem, but I continued on and selected PCS, fiddled with some settings in Phones settings menu. Was finally able to receive calls and my signal indicator showed 3G. In app Voice Network Type was listed as 1xRtt. I decided to select radio band once more and chose Class 10.
Calls were still functioning fine. So I went into Main settings menu and changed mobile network from CDMA to LTE/CDMA. LTE kicked in and calls still work!
Again, these settings may only work for Sprint hence the PCS Network option, and I believe Sprint may utilize the 800mhz frequency. The app might show you different options depending on your carrier. I don't know.
Anyway, fully functioning! Woohoo!!
Android P cannot make calls
I found an easier way
1. Remove your sim card from your phone, and turn off phone
2. Insert a different Sim from anywhere and restart the phone.
3. Try using the phone to make calls
4. Turn off the phone and remove the Sim card
5. Insert the main sim card( your original Sim card) and restart your phone
6. After start allow the phone to automatically reconfigure your network
This method worked for me. Hope it helps someone out there

Hope you get VoLTE..
I got VoLTE this way.. So just sharing..
Now Here is Bug with Vodafone VoLTE, when Trying to call, Network get bounced to 2G network.. It's Bug & Already reported to OnePlus..
If you still can't get VoLTE, Wait for Update.. ??
Doesn't work for me, no volte option under both sim settings and phone info switches back, TD-SCDMA/CDMA/UMTS

There should be VoLTE option for your sim..
If no, There is many chances that your SIM maybe not 4G ready or your circle don't have VoLTE feature..

Needs root but the only way I got it to work here is with the magisk module.
Ya, don't go playing with the band selection, or you may just get dropped to 2g connection with no LTE possible.
After digging around, I found a fix to get LTE back.
Download the "Network Signal Guru" app from the Play Store.
I told it to "Clear Forcings" in the menu, and LTE is back up.
Cantn find The Module can You give some more Informationen?
This won't work in Europe at least, no matter how Volte ready is your network/SIM card. OnePlus just ignores the issue.
This method https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...-volte-vowifi-german-carriers-t3817542/page28 works for activating VoLTE if your operator had enabled it for you.
I tried the method in the current post, but only got the toggles in the menu and not the real thing.
Had to call the mobile operator (Telenor BG, Bulgaria) to ask them to activate VoLTE and then did the method in the linked post.
I have a non-rooted OP6 and I'm now effectively using VoLTE on my network. Hope that helps.
Hmmm, does anybody know which was the previous default setting? I would like to revert it back and don't remember what setting was set before...

It doesn't work with Kuwait Viva !
If you want to get VoLTE and VoWiFi menu under SIM options in your OP6 just type *#800# in default dialer (not working in ther dialers) and under oneplus logkit>Function switch there is VoLTE and VoWiFi switch This is only to have that switch visible in menu so it isnt a guarantee that VoLTE will work on your device because your network carrier must support it and if it is not supported by carrier then VoLTE will not work no matter if you enable it with menu switch
Follow my Guide to activate VoLTE and VoWiFi for OnePlus 6...

Go to "Phone", Settings, SIM & Network Settings, then in to the SIM you want, and the VoLTE and WiFi calling is in there. It's NOT in the traditional Settings app.

jamal2367's method (see here in English: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/how-to/guide-volte-vowifi-german-carriers-t3817542) works fine with OOS9/Pie.
Just updated & patched modem config with PDC as described in the link (I'm using the config "Telefonica_UK_Commercial" for O2 in Germany) and I'm up again with VoLTE/VoWifi working..
Still a shame that Oneplus is incapable to do enable the right config by default..
but it is just that in OOS9 you miss those switches what were in OOS5.11 in "Enhanced networking, this group is all missing in Pie

LG velvet 4g volte on Tmobile?

I have LG velvet 4g dual sim LM-G910EMW, is there any way to enable volte for use on t-mobile?
im having the same problem with my carrier (simple mobile). they are saying my LG Velvet 5g is not compatible with their network upgrade to VOLTE. The specs for my model, do indeed show that it is compatible. They keep trying to get me to "upgrade" to a new phone. Whats going on here?
So I followed the below directions from reddit and it worked great and I now have Volte, however phone still drops to 3g when it makes a call any thoughts on how to fix that?
There is a way to force enable VoLTE on the "LG Velvet 4G Dual Sim" specifically your version which is the "LM-G910EMW".
By default the feature is disabled on this model variant for who knows why.
Follow the steps below: 1. Click on the "Phone" app and dial "##4636##" -If done correctly it'll automatically bring you to the "testing" settings menu.
Click on "Phone Information" -you should see a list of VoLTE settings however by default they are disabled and greyed out but don't worry there's a way to reactivate VoLTE. (You Will Come Back to this Menu later)
Go to your file app and create a file named "enable_ue" -thats all you need to do just create the file, nothing more nothing less.
Go back to the "Phone" App and dial "#*462633*#910#" -This code is specific to the variant and will not work on other non LM-G910EMW Phones. Dialing this should bring up the "Hidden LG Menu"
Select Field Test>Universal Enabler>Create New Config -a menu with check boxes for VoLTE options appearing
Select the boxes as follows "VoLTE" "ViLTE" "VoWifi" "ViWifi" And finally hit "Confirm" -a prompt will appear stating "Vo Services Updated"
Immediately restart your phone to allow the settings to kick in
After your phone has restarted go into your Settings>Network & Internet>Mobile Networks -If done correctly the VoLTE option will now be unlocked and available.
Switch on the "VoLTE"
Now to double check that your phone now truly has VoLTE enabled, repeat steps 1-2. If done correctly the menu should now say "VoLTE Provisioned Video Calling Provisioned Wifi Calling Provisioned " -if these 3 are all switched on then you have successfully force enabled VoLTE on your LG Velvet 4G Dual Sim LM-G910EMW, congratulations!
Sorry I'm not so good, can you help me please regarding this:
Go to your file app and create a file named "enable_ue" -thats all you need to do just create the file, nothing more nothing less.
I would like to know how to create this file, as I think I didn't do the job so I'm block when I enter Unviersal Enabler, it say: not supported
Thanks in advance for your help
In the upper right of your file manager there should ne three dots, click on that and it will show new folder, new file, etc.
Some file managers do not have a new file option so you may have to download a different file manager. I used 3c as my file manager.
Hi,
Can you please share the path where we need to add the file name as "enable_ue" and it will be 0 byte file right?
I just added it to the main storage and yes it was 0 byte
Will this work on the 900TM variant? I used 900 instead of 910 to get the hidden menu and it came up but i can't seem to get the volte button to enable in the menus.
If you have one variant of a Qualcomm LG Velvet can you turn on VOLTE by selecting the stock firmware for a different Velvet variant? Basically I wondere if an lmg900tm can be turned into an lmg900um. [NOTE: upon further investigation, the VOLTE feature may depend more on the SIM card and not on the firmware. There is an explanation here from Quora.com:
Is VoLTE activation dependent on the SIM card or just on the device model and the operator?
The phone has to be VoLTE compatible, that is the hardware itself must be able to handle VoLTE in terms of what it implies: band, frequencies and so on.
Then, the phone has to be provisioned to operate with VoLTE, in simple terms that means that the phone must be enabled or allowed to work with VoLTE, this is done wither by the manufacturer or by the operator. There are phones that even while they are VoLTE capable, the manufacturer of the operator won’t provision them to use VoLTE. One such case are the Google Pixel phones that are perfectly capable of VoLTE. but, if you insert a SIM card of a country where Pixels are not officially sold and supported, then Google has the phone set to disable VoLTE (and 5G as well).
Then, the SIM used in that VoLTE capable phone and VoLTE provisioned phone has to be of the right version. Some operators won’t provide VoLTE service if you don’t have a SIM with a minimum version (and thus SIM firmware and configuration).
Lastly, you have to be physically present on the network that has VoLTE capabilities. You could have all of the above, but, if you are in the middle of a desert or in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, probably VoLTE is not going to work…and neither 4G or 5G…
Is VoLTE activation dependent on the SIM card or just on the device model and the operator?
Answer: VoLTE activation is controlled by the device depending on the SIM and network operator. Of course the phone has to be VoLTE capable in the first place. Each device has an internal database that uses one or more of the SIM files as key to retrieve various parameters about the operator own...
www.quora.com
There you have it, that is pretty much in simple terms, what is needed to enjoy VoLTE with your smartphone.
