HTC One Mini keeps turning on and off after reaching 0% - HTC One Mini

Hey fellas,
I know there are several threads on this issue, but none of them seems to cover my problem. Today, my HTC One Mini got down to 0%. After i connected it to the power booth, it showed a red blinking light. Nothing special so far. But after 3 Minutes, it showed it would be charging. After two more minutes, it started turning itself on. It vibrates one time, showes me the "HTC - powered by android" screen and then suddenly shuts down again. It shuts down for about 10 Seconds, then starts itself, vibrates and so on and so on.
I've already tried it with two different cables and two different power socket adapaters, also I tried connecting it to my PC via USB. The problem does not seem to change.
I tried rebooting it by pressing the volume down and power button, and the booting screen shows up, but before I can do anything, this damn phone shuts down again.
I'd really appreciate your help, guys!!!

Hi,
It sounds like possibly a stuck power button... A very common issue on many devices. But for other opinions, I will have your thread moved to your device section, here...

Good luck!

I have exactly the same issue after trying to use my phone without the battery (with an external adjustable power supply). The phone worked fine for about a week untill I switched it off. Once I turned it on, it started doing what you describe above.
Have you found any solution to that issue already?

!S.O.S! Raphael died on me all the sudden! WTF!?*SOLVED*

Today I noticed, while having my phone in a pocket, that it vibrates. Thought it was an sms or something but after I pulled it out, the screen was black. And kept on restarting itself in like 10 second intervals. Then the screen got stuck black with backlight on. Now I cannot power it on. It does it by itself randomly. No way to enter bootloader. After pressing hard buttons I randomly get a vibration feedback. Tried 2 different batteries. If I plug the charger in, no light comes up. After maybe 20 minutes on charger it gets warm (not where the battery is but above where the radio is).
Anyone ever seen this before? Any ideas would be more than greatly appreciated!!!!

Try this,
Turn off phone, push volume down and plug in the usb cable to your computer, don't turn it on, if the hardware is ok, tricolor should appear.

Thanx for the tip. My phone, however, resurrected by itself in the middle of night after it did hard reset by itself. So I used raphdiag and reloaded new rom. Hope to never see this again!

My HTC Cruise wont power on

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me out here. Last night I was using my phone happily as normal and as happens often when using a cooked ROM it hung on me. I was tired so I just hit the reset button, plugged it into the wall charger and went to sleep. This morning when I pick it up, it was quite warm to hold and wouldn't power on. If I plug it into power (both USB or wall charger) the orange light comes on for about 10 seconds and then turns off. I could get it into the boot loader screen (the four colour screen) and flash the ROM and radio no problems and without it turning off. but as soon as it restarts after installing the ROM or Radio, it shows the HTC splash screen for about 10 seconds and then turns off. I have tried doing the same with the battery taken out, but it does the same (turns off after 10 sec) and I tried (with the battery in) resetting it and then removing the power. When I do the last one, it powers off as soon as i take the cable out.
I can't think of anything else to try. It seems as soon as it starts to load the OS it powers off. Is it broken... like properly broken? did I do the wrong thing by leaving it plugged in while it restarted? Any one please help, I need my phone for work and I have no spare!
Thanks in advance,
J.
try installing official rom
tried 2 official ROMs and no luck. Same thing
looks like it is an HTC Touch Diamond2 for me then I hate money
are you flashing with sd card? if not try that method
the only way i can do that is by leaving it unplugged for 10-20 seconds then plugging it in to AC power. the orange light comes and I quickly hold camera and hit the reset button. It goes to the multi-coloured screen and flashes "no image file!" very fast, then goes to the serial mode. I am following the instructions found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384084 I have formatted the SD card and tried 2 ROMs numerous times. Looks like it's dead
It is strange that it will only turn on when it has just been plugged into power and not at all when unplugged. When I leave it in the multi-coloured screen on the AC charger, it gets very warm very quickly... that can't be good.
Amyway I've ordered a Diamond 2 through work, so hopefully i can stick it in a draw and forget about it.
maybe try the wizard service tool. I have one with the same problem. It could be also the battery.

[Q] Htc Sensation XE half-dead. Please help.

Hey guys, it's been a long time since i don't post anything here. I've recently bought a very cheap used Htc Sensation XE. But he came to me with this issues:
- It doesn't turn on.
- My notebook doesn't recognize it, when I connect it with a USB cable.
- When I connect it to the charger a orange led turned on, stood turned on for a few seconds, then turned off. Stood turned off for a few seconds the turned on again. This went on and on for a while, until the phone vibrated, then nothing else happened. If I remove the charger then put it back on, the process will repeat itself.
Has anyone been through this? I really need some help.
Thank you all for the attention!
Perfect friend, now just wait, the staff is very good here.

Okay. How long have you tried leaving the phone on charge?
Have you tried booting to bootlaoder?
Hold down Volume down + Power button.
If the bootloader screen is accessible, can we please know what it says?
I think he does not have access to the bootloader ...

The last time it stood 30 minutes on charge. I've tried booting into bootloader but it doesn't work. The phone won't even vibrate to indicate it is turning on

Check if that battery is a tight fit. If not, try putting in a piece of paper (like a business card) on the edge opposite to battery contacts.
Also, have you tried a different battery?
Get these drivers, install them and restart your PC.
http://downloads.unrevoked.com/HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe
Then try connecting your phone to the PC.
Solved? But how?
In the exact same problem. Is your problem solved? In that case, how was it solved? I know it's an old thread, but seems the only hope. Someone please help!

I thInk i bricked my Nexus 5

I was trying to put it to bootloader but it can't go there after some tries so I kept pressing the volume rockers and power button but suddenly , the screen just went all black and now i cant do anything to turn it on and it doesnt even say its charging if i plug it in . Anyways , what can i do ?
I seem to be having the same issue as well. If anyone is able to provide any assistance at all, I would greatly appreciate it.
Leave the phone unplugged for about 10 minutes, then try again.
I find that powering off my phone in the middle of an operation will brick the phone for a few minutes.
The phone has been in this state for the past 4 months or so. I left it unplugged for as long as 2 months after the problem occurred and failing at troubleshooting the issue, and it still wouldn't power on, even when left charging for days.
Another thing to note is that if I plug it in to my computer, there is no indication of it being connected in the Device Manager (on Windows 10).

How can I get my HTC M8 working again

Ond day my htc m8 didn't wake up screen when I double tapped it. Then I JUST RESTARTED IT. From that point onwards it doesn't turn on. When connected to pc or power red led blinks twice in regular intervals. Tried everything on internet to restart pressing buttons and everything. It doesn't turn on. NO SCREEN AT ALL. ALL BLACK. Now I'm hopeless and trying to find a new motherboard for this. Any suggestions please? I used this for more than one year...

It is possible that your battery is completely dead. Take a look at this thread and the answer.
https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View...t+power+on+after+battery+ran+dry#answer219740
It may help with your issue. Personally I have encountered the same problem after my M8 laid unused for months. I left it on the charger for a few hours and it came back to life.
Hope it helps
